just thought i would come on and let you all know that Ds went to football training tonight and absolutely loved it.

he was, as expected, terrible. but he didn't seem to care. he waws just happy to join in. the other boys didn't seem to mind either and the coach is very happy for him to go along next week and forever more until he gets bored of it.

so we have a very happy, and very tired ( hurrah) little man. and very proud mum.

they played a mini match at the end and one of the boys got hurt. there was tears. Ds was the only one to go over and check that he was ok. and then at the end of the game he went back over to him and asked if he was ok and added "that was a good tackle though you are a good player"

sooo proud.

DF - I used to live in Brum, but am now sadly an hour away.

I am in Brum next week though, have got tickets to see Derren Brown!

Trills - I love you. I'm the fox, she was the scary one in the gold shorts Shes actually really pretty just had dressed up like a drag queen for no aparent reason. No offence to any drag queens.

Aaah, that's better! My netbook has stopped whirring and I have now got some free disk space.. good 'ole DH fixed it. I was getting worried.

Gigi, how fab for your DS!
DS1 has been going to football training for a while, since then 2 of his friends have joined, both have got into the "teams" and DS1 hasn't. Bless him, he has no idea, he just runs around and does sliding tackles, he comes home covered in mud, he is not taking after my (lots of footballers) side of the family.

SAF, How gorgeous! Little boys have a wonderful way of complimenting thier mom, DS2's way is mainly to do with my breasts.

Oh yes Gigi, I remember that well when DS1 was younger and he used to go to football - he wasn't the best footballer.... but enjoyed the taking part which to us was what mattered. Sadly, he had to give it up because he suffers terribly in the winter with his croupy cough and the horrible foggy air did his chest no good at all. Bless your DS for checking that the boy was ok.
