I take back the crotchety comment and hang head in shame

SAF - Sounds good, don't think we have a ts round here though, unless go to bham.

TotalChaos · 22/04/2010 14:07

I'm a bit of a prude too about such matters, I hate it when people stand around laughing about their farts and stuff like that. Well done for lasting out on the (mostly fruit!) diet Shiney.

saf - thanks for the tip - what size do they go up to?

5 - thanks for the info on learndirect, need to look into whether I would have to pay.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 22/04/2010 14:07

Think I may have missed what you do and where you go SaF.

shiney 0 detoxing will make you grumpy, all the toxins leaving your body.

Lizzylou · 22/04/2010 14:11

I'm only doing it for one day, Shiney. Just because am meeting up with old UNi mates on Saturday and sharing a room with my "still looks like a supermodel after 3 kids" gorgeous best mate.
Bleurgh!
Last time I saw some of them I was a stone lighter and running 10km lots.
BUM

Have just opened a packet of chopped carrots for DS - just carrot, nothing else - and the label says you should not eat them if you are pregnant?
I could see an excess of vit a being an issue, but NO carrots at all during pregnancy?

Eating red grapes. Drawing graphs. Waiting for weekly meeting. My life is such an exciting ride.

One of the silver linings to not being in Egypt is that I get to watch the election debate tonight. Have invited round DP's more-politically-savvy friend so he might make us take it a bit seriously as it is important. Stew is in slow cooker as I found casserole beef in the freezer and need to use it before it gets hot. Will also have beer to try to make it intersting

Iggi999 · 22/04/2010 14:18

Lizzy bet your friend will be thinking the same about you

FiveGoMadInDorset · 22/04/2010 14:18

Yep - go meet him for a drink

SAF - Calm down and go for a drink with him. As long as not an axe murderer will be fine. Or pass him my email and I'll go for a drink with him

When I had my first ever date with DP after 'meeting' on FRD, it was at a pub. I told my mum and bf where I was going to try and 'stay safe' and headed off in taxi to said pub. I got a call half way there off him telling me that the pub we were meeting at was closed for refurbishment and if I met him in the (deserted obviously) car park, he'd drive us to another!!!! Without spelling out too loudly that I thought he was an axe murderer I demurred and suggested another pub near by. Like I'd seriously get into a car with someone I'd never met in RL apart from taxi drivers obviously

Not sure of the point of that story. But glad I shared

SAF - go meet him. He sounds quite fun to me in a way. At the very least he is intriguing and he is certainly making the effort.

Just got back from lunch at pub, was going to have salad, had chilli, rice, nacho's and coleslaw. I now have 1 bloody point left today unless I do some serious excercise (not gonna happen!). What the hell is the matter with me! Ah well, loads and loads and loads of salad tonight then, and diet coke when I'm out.

DS at nursery, DD at nursery and DH taking cakes and thank you note to work (he just left and they gave him a lovely cheque and letter as a leaving present). So I am here, not working once again (will be in a mo, honest) and feeling slightly more chilled out than this morning.

Gigantaur · 22/04/2010 14:47

hello all.

Just thought i'd come in for a fleeting visit to say hello and check Defluf was a bit better today.

sorry not read the thread so hope everyone else is ok too.

just had to do the cadbury webchat thingy so was on already so couldn't not pop in and say hello.

off to get DD from school and then take DS to his first ever football training session! i am tres excited. it will be his first attempt at group sport outside of a school PE lesson so we are both really looking forward/nervous about it.

I shall try and get back on later to let you know how it goes.

MyCatIsABastard · 22/04/2010 14:47

I have a close friend who is getting married to the guy she met in a chatroom on t'internet.

MyCatIsABastard · 22/04/2010 14:48

Hello Gigantaur. Hope your DS enjoys the football and that you are doing well.

Hello all. Saf - he sounds nice, what have you got to lose?

lizzy/shiney - enjoy your fruit

I was going to be good and have salad at the pub, but the only salad on the menu was a chorizo and tomato thingy

So I had chicken chips and coleslaw

GiGi - hope DS enjoys footy.

MyCat - just seen you have had a similar lunch to me

Off to do school run and shred - talk to you later.
