Away we go...

I don't know how you do it Fanny.. cooking breakfasts and look after people.

Lizzy, he has a yearly blood test and it showed that his B12 level had dived bombed - quite common with the type of surgery he has had. He is still asleep. He is supposed to be finishing the painting of the shower room this week.

Lizzylou · 20/04/2010 20:49

Poor DH, where do we get B12 from? Is it wholemeal stuff and yeast etc (I think)? What does it do? Is it turning your food into energy?

Sorry, am not normally Grand Inquisitor!
Just genuinely interested/concerned

FiveGoMadInDorset · 20/04/2010 20:51

Please don't flatter me........ well go on then.

No I have to say that I am exceedingly lucky, DC's go to a very good nursery from 8, DH starts breakfast, I carry on when he gets back and if he goes out to work he is always home by 2, so it is definitely a joint effort here.

bellavita · 20/04/2010 20:51

Lizzy, well done on the gym thing . The staff at our school can use the sports centre next door at certain times of the day - unfortunately for about 3 of us, those times do not fit our working patterns. I have asked our Business Manager if he can arrange it so I can use it before my Mon/Tue shifts and after my Wed/Thur/Fri shifts for an hour. He said it is coming up for review anywaym so will ask. I don't think it is fair that 99.9% of the staff get free use of something.

bellavita · 20/04/2010 20:55

No, it is important for making new cells and you can get it from marmite, cornflakes, meat (vegetarians can suffer with this deficiency - although they can take tablet supplements) - DH cannot take tablets due to part of his bowel missing that would absorb this hence the injections.

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 20:56

Am watching 'Jennifer's Body' very dark and amusing gore horror from writer (I think) of Juno.

Slight tea break then back to it

Lizzylou · 20/04/2010 20:58

Aah, thanks Bella, I was very wide off the mark then! Hope he perks up once he is getting his injections.

Why did I bother guessing when I obviously have no clue? Bet Dr Trillian would have known

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 20:59

jujudad the chin fuzz, i just thought he'd missed a bit

i weighed myself and have lost another lb today i think i will have a small g&t while i drool over the vampires

bellavita · 20/04/2010 21:00

It was nice of you to ask and guess!

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 21:00

not sure i would have classed them as admiring. more down right flithy tbh last night. I think part of it was payback for what happened saturday night. And part of it was them seeing how much they could get away with.

bellavita · 20/04/2010 21:01

Well done on the weight loss Vin.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 21:06

I've ordered some proper scales.

Mine are shit and you can put on and lose half a stone in minutes.

Franny, if you are adopting, would you consider me please?

I am a clean freak, shit at baking but good at cooking.

Please? I promise I will sleep at the end of the bed and you won't even know I'm there?

MyCatIsABastard · 20/04/2010 21:11

Hello again ladies.

All is well in the MyCat household (well DH has a cld and is giving me his sick puppy look which makes me want to laugh in his face and slap him at the same time).

I have lost 8lb in the last 2 weeks YAY but was seriously hungry today. Decided we would have a chinese and it was horrible. I am most disappointed. I also have £82.50 pledged towards the charity now (target is £125) so that's inspiring me.

Vinny, date sounds exciting! I was never good at hanging back on stuff, always texted when I probably shouldn't and so on. In the end I decided that the man for me was the one who took all that on board and didn't mind (or just desperate! ). I hope it goes well.

Sazz - I am really pleased that you are still going away. I am sure that you are still looking fabulous.

BOF - Sorry to hear your having DD problems. I would have probably cried if my DD had run into the road.

bella - I hope your DH is OK.

Defulf - MORE MORE MORE stories about your friend!!

And may I just say, tis bloody good to have the internet and MN back. Bloody virgin broadband had no idea why it wasn't working and no idea why it is now!

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 21:21

Good to have you back mycat!

Oh and lizzy, i still have the lumpy bits but being withing a stone of my ideal has afforded me the luxary of caring less about the bumpy bits. I have conifdence when i skate that i lack normally. I would wear the top/short combo to a gym, would be too self consicious of my tummy, thighs, ass etc. Doesnt bother me at the rink as i am in a different world.

And now that i have throughly bored you all with this iceskating nonsense i shall scuttle away to my corner and daydream.

MyCatIsABastard · 20/04/2010 21:22

Thanks slug. I hope you get some sleep tonight.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 21:26

Hey MyCat, good to have you back.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 21:39

I'm guessing you have all fucked off to facebook, so have a good evening.

Man, I am hormonal atm, that sounds really aggresive

Fleecy · 20/04/2010 21:40

shiney - are you still planning fruit diet? Must admit, my first thought was you might not want to stray too far from the loo

tracey yay for baby Bea. Hope she keeps it up!

VT like Lizzy I was wondering what my DH would put if he had a dating profile. The pics he thought he looked best in and interests shown as football and beer same as Lizzy. I also thought he probably would put what he's looking for but not say much about himself as he wouldn't want to look self-absorbed. If that makes sense!

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 21:40

8lb loss id fantastic mycat! well done

TrillianAstra · 20/04/2010 21:41

My sympathies on your chinese MyCat - it's horrible when you have something that should be a treat and it is disappointing.

Fleecy · 20/04/2010 21:43

Mycat - we're with Virgin and it goes down for about three days every couple of months. Which is especially annoying as we both work from home so lose out on work and have to make some very convoluted arrangements to do as much as we can via my parents and DH's parents, fitting in around each other and the DC. We will be leaving them as soon as our contract is up.

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 21:49

Bitter i have not fucked off to face book, multitasking still reading something that was linked to on a thread. and my connection is shit.

MyCatIsABastard · 20/04/2010 21:49

tracey - I forgot to say that's fantastic news on DD sleeping all night. I remember when mine did that the first time, I was looking forward to the sleep but woke up swimming in milk and with boobs like boulders!

Fleecy - I got all shirty with virgin because I was supposed to be working from home. THe worry is if it goes down when DH is running his business from here. Not sure what I can do about it really as the cable is so much quicker than everything else (or so I understand). Do you know why yours goes down? This si the first time since we've had it with them (about 2yrs I think).

MyCatIsABastard · 20/04/2010 21:50

btw - anyone heard from Yank? I saw her update on FB that she's finally due home tomorrow morning just wondered if anyone knew anything more.

DreamsInBinary · 20/04/2010 21:50

I've been tryig to watch the Welsh Leader's Debate, but it's beaten me. Cougar Town now on instead

BoF - just reading your post took my breath. DS is a bolter and the thought kills me, so can't imagine how shaken you must have been.
