Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

I need £5 more stuff to make up my Waitrose order - going on holiday in a week though so has to be something that will either get scoffed or somehting that keeps.

No chocolate, I have plenty of whole nut.

I bet I think of somehting that I need about 5 minutes after I press 'go'.

Morning. Ish....

Have been for a work out and now jellylike.

Trills: Get soup, tinned tomatoes, beans and the like.

TrillianAstra · 11/04/2010 12:17

Bought some steak. Feeling extravagant.

This was Waitrose Deliver rather than Ocado - free delivery but 2-hr slot and Ocado has some offers that Waitrose doesn't (I think), but I am an offer whore (apparently:

Visit www.waitrose.com/deliver using code save1 for free delivery if you spend over £50, also £5 off fist shop, £10 off 2nd shop, £15 off third shop. Expires 31 May.

buy a bottle of wine

TrillianAstra · 11/04/2010 12:44

Got plenty wine in at the moment - not that more isn't always helpful.

I should really get dressed, shouldn't I?

SaF.. that sounds hard. It winds you down and sometimes it is just so complicated. I have issues with my Dad but my Mum is lovely and it does help.

When do you travel again? How old is DS? He sounds like a very lucky little chap to me.

Do you think we will get it right as parents?

It will backfire for your parents if they are not careful. My DC's dislike their Nanna on their Dad's side intensely partly because she has been so critical of me and their natural loyalty to me is compromised. They are being cruel in not realising this, and jeopardising their own relationship with him.

Shiney..it sounds like you need a tonic...take care x

We are the slightly noisy neighbours here, My DC's are 'lively' and 'loud' but nearest neighbours both have dogs (one of them has 4 great big Boxers things) that bark incessantly when I go in the garden so it all balances out.

I have been for a bike ride (TBH I was mega P'd off with DC's Dad and DS but have pedalled off my angst).I live at the bottom of a huge hill and coming down it is AWESOME! Especially haveng done the hard work of getting up to the top in the first place.

You do the business DEM.. as long as it has bug splatting..I am SO going up again soon.

I am going in the garden.

And heyy Sazz...how you doing lady?

Toodles for now xx

Yay Waitrose deliver here. SaF, breathe and plaster a smile on your face, that is what I have to do with DH's parents.

Last year DP and I were both following the Lord Ford and if he cycled to work (8-10 miles each way, depending on route) he was always in minus calories when he got home (and he does eat lunch etc).

Oh yes, but thankfully they live in Kent and we don't They haven't been to stay since we charged them as they wanted to come in one of the holidays, didn't want to turf us out of our room and we were turning away business. Luckily BIL and SIL love coming down and we have got a spare room here but haven't let on to them.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 11/04/2010 15:03

Well done on being minus calories.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 11/04/2010 16:05

''Oh yes, but thankfully they live in Kent and we don't ''

This made me laugh Five..

That's a LOT of mowing SaF...

I think that is why I was so ill.. I was doing so much exercise to deal with stress that I simply wasn't getting calories in credit. Final blood test results next week to see if I am back to 'normal'.

Two hours in the garden entitles me to something yummy for tea. It's looking nice. I might plan something Arty in there Gaudi-esque or Nicki de saint Phalle inspired..

Hello.

Living in Kent sounds rather nice actually, but I can understand wanting to not be too near parents.
