Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

sorry that's a bit rambling.

BitOfFun · 11/04/2010 02:18

Sounds brilliant! Maybe a business idea?

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 02:35

it was something that i thought might be hard work but rewarding to do. the issue would be financial in set up. But something that i could see being a benefit to a lot of people. Not a short term plan, well not unless i win the lottery

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 02:43

ssssssssslllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepp!

Baaaaa. 1. Baaaa. 2. zzzzzzzzzzzz.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 11/04/2010 07:11

Helloooo..Why am I up at 7 on a sunday morning? and have been since bleurgh o' clock.

I have done an online shop.

Bit of housework,

washing and folding laundry.

Financial spread sheet (doomed...we're doomed!)

I might go and snatch another hour.

Now I've selotaped all the birds beaks shut. The dawn chorus was in full glory this morning.

TotalChaos · 11/04/2010 07:34

BOF are you aware of the Thomas Centre, it's a set of holiday cottages for families of people with ASD

www.thethomascentre.co.uk/

also have heard of people getting money for holidays from the Family Fund.

oh and the Merlin group of entertainment sites have a fund for free tickets (and it would appear help with travel costs) for people with SN and their carers:-

Morning

You all stay up so late! Sat and watched HP and goblet of fire last night and ate....grapes! Not chocolate, not crisps, but fruit!

Mitts - there is a cockerel near us that if i am not very asleep wakes me up at 4.45am, bit rubbish really. Not a bird fan.

Not sure what to do today. Do DD and i spend the day pottering about, doing horses, bit of cooking etc OR do we drive the half hour to see DH who is official vet at an endurance competiion today?

The lazy part of me thinks i should spend the day at home, but that if i do then i should do some housework. But the other part thinks it may be nice to have some adult conversation....

ClaudiaSchiffer · 11/04/2010 08:26

Oooof back from in-laws birthday lunch for bil. Absolutely stuffed with dips, fish pie, chocs, ice-cream cake, chocs, wine and tea. . . . Need to have a lie down.

Alicetheinvisible · 11/04/2010 08:36

Sounds good Claudia!

Well, sounds like DH is going to be busy today, so staying at home option it is. Going to make some banana loaf i think...

Not me shine, not been in bed for ages now

Shame you feel bleugh. Bracing walk in order?

Banana loaf is the food of the GODS Alice. yum.

traceybath · 11/04/2010 08:46

In bed! Up since 6 and DH left at 7am to go and do a cycling race - not mid-life crisis for him - oh no!

I've cleaned kitchen and done one load of ironing.

Just going to put DD down for nap and then crack on with the ironing and listen to archers omnibus - now I bet you're jealous of that aren't you

TotalChaos · 11/04/2010 08:47

sorry you feel bleurgh Shiney.

nope, not in bed, just using any and every excuse not to get started on my exercising, it's ever so dull. Not even doing it because it makes much of a weight loss difference, but for the health reasons.

alice - fuck the housework even if you do stay home.

sazzles - you'll soon make up for it with all your lengths/runs etc

claudia - sounds marvellous! I quite like a nice pie myself, unfortunately they are so sat fat ridden that I haven't had one for months. might as well just neck lard...

yep, I see to grocery shop every other day it seems - granted bread/fruit/veg/fish will need doing more than once a week, but even so, I seem to end up with remarkably little in the fridge considering.....

bellavita · 11/04/2010 08:53

Morning

I am still in bed! Everything is so quiet in the house, the boys are still in bed.

Do you need to see the Dr if your chest hurts Shiney? Does it mean you have an infection?

Alicetheinvisible · 11/04/2010 08:56

Thank you Totalchaos! That is what i wanted someone to say!

Tracey - there was a cycle race near us yesterday. There was one bloke who had obviously just finished, getting off his bike chatting to another bloke. "Struggled a bit today, had a cold so couldn't breathe, just couldn't get my heartrate up" He was bright red, wheezing away, if his HR was up much more he would have had a heart attack!

Just having a cup of tea, then i spose i ought to get dressed, DD dressed and do those horses...
