Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

DEM.

lost weight, gained weight. planning on losing some more.

Been busy in garden.

Eaten nutritionally rubbish food today but lovely to do so.

Wore my new shorts today and my mothers comments was "they make your big bum look nice" yep thanks for that mum.

Tbh though the old arese aint as pert as it used to be but working on that too.

Ds has had a lovely day he played in smaland (cba to find the sybols to do that right) garden centre and garden.

I have wired the pump in so all i have to do is clean out tub, cut liner for protective grill and set up water feature tomorrow. Garden now has various tubs with seeds and stuff in. tomo's plan is to plant the strawberry plants and dig out the tomatoe seeds. Also to dig over the bed where the flower seeds need planting. will be lovely i tell you. lovely.

And i have just discovered the enabling sequence for sticky shift keys. forgotten about that.

anyone now what the main difference between xtml and html is?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/04/2010 22:16

Wher would you like me to send mine?

wastingaway · 10/04/2010 22:32

DEM, I have no idea.

Your gardening sounds fab.

wastingaway · 10/04/2010 22:34

As DS was up loads last night I am going to bed now.

DidEinsteinsMum · 10/04/2010 22:56

quiet here tonight. everyone off out doing stuff or are your bodies in shock from the sunshine?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 10/04/2010 23:15

DEM did you mean XML? because XTML is a file extension type, not a markup language like HTML or XML

XML is extensible markup language, similar to html only specifically used for data storing and carrying data, where as HTML is used for displaying data

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/04/2010 23:24

Evening all!

I'm knackered,it was so busy at work.

May I ask why sensible people would want to do a week's grocery shopping at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night?

And bring their poor, tired, fractious children with them?

Isn't that what t'internet is for?

What have I missed ?

DidEinsteinsMum · 10/04/2010 23:24

ahh that is why i am confused. That would make sense. Have been pondering the language difference between office version and knew that VBA was the old language but couldnt completly remember. SO how does the new office work then if there is no vba and it is all xml? If xml 4th or 5th generation pl or is it like the mp3 file format that is just a collection of information rather then the mannor in which it works. And hence is it possible to get inside the office and programm it, of has microsoft gone all george orwell and built it so you can do anything with it?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 10/04/2010 23:28

Oh blimey i dont know the answer to that! im a mac user, i steer well clear of microsoft these days

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/04/2010 23:36
VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 10/04/2010 23:40

dont you mean a COCK thread bitter?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/04/2010 23:44

Vinny, I am this thread's token prude, you should know that!

Honestly, I go to work for a few hours and come back to find the thread has turned into some kind of computating convention!

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 10/04/2010 23:49

Bitter, i am the thread geek, but i will try and keep a curb on it and stick to cock food

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 00:06

oi vinny not sure you have claim to the thread geek title. it was mine last time i check. I out geeked DIB on a particle physics thread. hands of the queen of geek crown tis mine you know

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 00:07

but it would appear i am the spelling and grammar dunce

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/04/2010 00:15

No need to curb it at all, I quite like it. It reminds me of that cartoon, The Racoons.

You had the sporty one, the geeky one etc. Or those sets of plastic hippos you get in kinder eggs.

You two can be geeky and clever, and I'll be prudish and er, sarcastic. I'm good at sarcastic.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 11/04/2010 00:17

you can have the geek title DEM i know nowt about particle physics

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 00:32

i have collected a wide range of subjects to be geeky about. THe joys of having a ds who is obsessed with the discovery channel. its amaazing what you learn from how do they do that, how does that works, myth busters, prototype that (or soemthing similar), scrapheap challenge... I actually miss his history obsession . I need a change...

although it can in handy when wiring in the water feature this eveing.

Bitter - less of the hippos we are aiming skinny not hippo like. got any thing svelter in that collection from kinder... not very good for the old diet kinder eggs though.

I should be asleep, why arent i?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 11/04/2010 00:41

Hello hello hello

Sunday morning here, doing the ironing before heading to the in-laws for bils birthday lunch.

Will probably be pies - Australias National Food.

Will go and read thread.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/04/2010 00:42

Erm..Giraffes?

I should be asleep too, but I've only been in from work an hour, I feel I deserve to sit on MN for a bit. Especially after my cookathon today.

I could probably be geeky about smashing rocks with bigger rocks. That seems to be DS's obsession atm.

You obviously have a better quality of progeny obsessions than me!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/04/2010 00:44

Morning Claudia!

Pies are good.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 11/04/2010 00:52

gudday claudia

ClaudiaSchiffer · 11/04/2010 00:52

Morning Bitter. I don't like pies unfortunately. (Or fortunately for healthy eating reasons). Australians, however, are obsessed with them. I just don't get it.

How was work Bitter? I cannot believe people take their kids shopping at 10pm?! I take mine at a totally reasonable hour and they are still vile.

DidEinsteinsMum · 11/04/2010 00:54

asd coes in useful for something. he was obsessed with tmime team and areachology by the time he was 3, started with sharks and space at 2. We still have the sharks and space. but his main fascination is how things works and taking things apart to discover how things work.

Getting him gardening was good too. although he gets obsessed with that too and drives you mad. 2 meltdowns in the garden shop within 30mins. thank goodness they had a flower bed just for the kids to dig in

claudia -savoury or sweet pies?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 11/04/2010 00:55

G'day vinegartits
