Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

Claudia I knew that Aussies ate weirdy stuff like tuna for breakfast, you have just confirmed it!

Bella have a lovely lovely day clothes shopping, and make sure you buy stuff from shops with websites so you can show us afterwards

That reminds me, Vinny I am v disappointed not to have a good picture of you in your races dress - I wanted to see how it looked on.

TC looks lovely but a bit too far away for when i suddenly remember i am supposed to be collecting the boy. Hope you trip to the beach goes well.

Right i am off out

BitOfFun · 13/04/2010 10:29

I can't believe I actually posted that about Stephen Dorf- I thought I was dreaming! I was actually asleep, I'm sure. Oh well, if I can post during sex, I guess it's not too huge a leap...

Nothing wrong with Stephen Dorf at all. I've just got a feeling he's gonna cark it. He just randomly popped into my head, same way Malcolm McClaren did the day before he went to meet Sid Vicious...

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 10:36

well that would explain the 3am ish posting time. do you not turn your computer off?

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 10:47

BOF, that is a tad spooky, please don't let me pop into your head, not until I am slim and fabulous anyway, smaller coffin.

DEM, you should plan a Hebden Bridge and Howarth trip for another day, you'd like it there. DH and I have been for meals out to Hebden Bridge and then a wander round, it has a nice alternative feel to it. I think it's unofficially the gay and lesbian capital of the dales, it's quite hippyish and laid back. Has a good park and Howarth has a steam train, so your boy would like it too. We looked into moving to Hebden Bridge a while back, there is a train to Manchester centre.

Some lovely days out planned, am glued to laptop working, but will go to gym later.
Whoop whoop, Good times

BitOfFun · 13/04/2010 10:48

Perils of an iPhone at my bedside, DEM...

Morning all!

Just a quick post, before I take dd to the HV. They are still concerned she is underweight, despite the fact she eats more than DS who is 3 years older than her!

chaos - have a lovely day at the beach!

Bof - If Stephen Dorff kicks the bucket, I may leave this thread before you start thinking ill of me .

Bella - have a lovely day shopping and agree - links please

Lizzy - I am going to begin the evil shred today - I will report back

Howarth and Hebden bridge sound lovely.

I feel sorry that the DC's have missed out on their easter holidays with all the tooing and froing to FIL's - although DS was most impressed with his grandad's chickens, and he has two litters of puppies that are only 4 weeks old - too cute.

I will have to plan some lovely days out for half term I think.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 11:20

Go Sazz!
I have no grace in the gym, and am always next to some 18yr old gorgeous gym bunny who makes it look effortless.

Hope HV appt goes well, Bitter and good luck for the shred, I'll be doing it later as well.

Deep joy.

Does anyone use Linkedin? Business Partner has a right bee in his bonnet about it and am a bit flummoxed as to how it will work for us...

MyCatIsABastard · 13/04/2010 11:24

MOrning all.

Hope your well.

Bitter - I did both births without any pain relief. G&A made me want to chunder, I'm allergic to codeine so thought pethadine might do the same thing. n Not sure whether to feel proud or bloody stupid! . Even so, I probably definitely will not be doing the 30 day shred. Thanks for linking though.

Sazz - is it your time of the month? I can put on about 5lb in 2 days when that is due! I'll text you about the gym on Friday too, but don't think I can come sorry. Pub one night next week?

Miiiittttsssss - was that you on Chris Evans this morning with the astro turf loo? Surely there cannot be 2 of you??

BOF - I thought that was a slightly random post . And if Steven Dorf does pop his clogs I shall have a face like this and be eternally nice to you.

I am supposed to be working but I am finding it v hard to get even slightly motivated to do anything other than make another coffee!!!

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:33

Morning

You all sound like you are being Very Good Parents today. I am not. DD has been a bit irritating on a day when i had lots to do how do they know?

Anyway, house is now clean (well, it is all relative i suppose ) and waiting for friend to arrive(at 11am) Again i am hungry.

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:35

Oh, and i had (failed) childbirth with all the drugs, so i am not hardcore

MyCatIsABastard · 13/04/2010 11:41

Alice, I am not being a good parent today. DD went to nursery (even though she prob could have stayed home as not 100% well but I've got loads to do). And I made DS have his nap even though he wasn't all that tired - just left him talking in his room til he went to sleep .

And, with DS I was induced and 10 mins before I had him I was in tears because I was too far gone for an epidural and the pain was incredibly intense (why did noone tell me it can be more painful when induced!! ) - so I'm not totally hardcore.

TrillianAstra · 13/04/2010 11:44

Alice your DD is out, I have seen her, therefore you did not fail childbirth.

Purse lost.
Cards cancelled as is lunch so reduced to doing paperwork.

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:49

Technically i did as she was removed via the sunroof

Don't you hate it when people don't stick to plans especially after i mopped the floors

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:50

Fanny that is rubbish. I am sure you will find it somewhere stupid

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 11:51

Oh Fanny - how annoying. I hope you find it soon and can rearrange lunch quickly.

SAF - I am most of the child free waking. every morning I am clambered over like some sodding climbing frame or bouncy castle. It really gets on my nerves! Enjoy the shopping and packing. When are you going back (and where are you going to if you don't mind me asking?).

DD has started coming through around 7:30am instead of the 6:45 we were getting (and lets not even talk about the 5 - 5:30 am hell we had when she was a toddler - I am praying DS wont be the same). In fact both of them are leaving us be til at least 7:15 lately, which is luxury, although I would very gladly have much later once in a while.

My best friends children are all teenagers now and none of them get up earlier than 9:45 on the weekend - BLISS!!

Sinai sounds interesting. Why do you live there? Just a nice place to be?
