Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

OP posts:

night.

wastingaway · 12/04/2010 23:49

Night night.

DidEinsteinsMum · 12/04/2010 23:56

oh that book slow cant believe you remember that though. that was a druken post i seem to recall back in november time, ie thousands of threads ago.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 00:24

Phew, just read most of the thread to catch up.

Now you're all off to bed.

I have a posho friend of dds over this morning with his posho mum and sister, for a play. I have to tidy the house, it's a tip and I'm paranoid.

I'm gonna set my timer and do a 20 blitz.

Fanny, your house sounds amazing.

Bitter, glad you got to the funeral and it all went well.

G & A made me sick . Then had major drugs for emerg. c-section.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 00:39

good luck with that, i have a timer i use for clearing up and cleaning up. It works best when i remember to hit start Have to be more productive tomo.

Have a good day claudia.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 00:42

Thanks DEM

I'm also considering giving up wine again. I went to the pub last night with playgroup mums - had 2 glasses of wine - so not much and feel like I could eat a HORSE today. I'm definately sure that wine is VERY bad for healthy eating regimens.

BitOfFun · 13/04/2010 03:37

Stephen Dorf.

Just trying a voodoo thing since I thought of Malcolm McClaren the other day.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 07:02

Morning all,

Hope everyone has a good day today, meeting up with MrsW without children.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 07:12

Hi Fanny, enjoy your day sans kiddies. Bof what's wrong with Stephen Dorf? He's pretty inoffensive isn't he?

bellavita · 13/04/2010 07:33

Morning [ymile]

It is a beautiful day. I am going into town to shop!

Boys back at school - they are eating melon, stawberrries and toast with chocolate spread , I am having yogga brekka...

How are we all today?

Bitter, I hope you haven't woken up with a massive headache from yesterday?

Is your DD home yet BoF?

Do you need to get your wrist looked at DEM?

Morning Claudia

Hope you having a lovely day Fanny (btw is MrsW - Flammers?)

bellavita · 13/04/2010 07:34

ymile... can ya tell I haven't woken up yet?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 07:43

Good morning Bella, are you going clothes shopping?

I've just done a supermarket run with the dds, not quite the normal hellish experience, but not far off.

We're all off to the pub for tea tonight though. Hurrah and huzzah.

bellavita · 13/04/2010 07:45

Yes, clothes shopping Claudia - am looking forward to it (probably will come back with nothing!)

Oooh tea out - how lovely.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 07:49

Yes bliss, not having to cook. I am so over cooking. All those sodding vitamins to think about .

Clothes shopping will be fun. I really miss the uk shops. Here all is rather dreary, either KMart - think cheap crap (but useful basics I suppose) or expensive wierd flouncy stuff. OR the other big Aussie thing is teeny weeny sexy clothes for teeny weeny brozed fit 18 yr old girls.

TotalChaos · 13/04/2010 07:57

DEM - I would get the wrist checked out - you might need a splint for it.

Five - have a nice time with MrsW today.

Claudia - I must admit I allow myself alcohol as a low fat treat, probably the complete wrong attitude mind, but...

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 08:08

Thankyou for the concern TC, but thankfully being rested overnight has reduced the pain, i suspect a very mild sprain at most. Have done this soooo many times i have a treatment routine. it just can as a surprise as i had absolutely no pain for about 2 hours after i have doneit, but like i said, i needed to defrost first. I was a bit frozen.

Five, have a nice day. Hope MrsW is well.

Claudia, have a nice meal and night.

Right i need to do lunch box and clothes. Its going to take a while to get into this school run thing. Mum is doing spellings with ds right now. He has his spelling test today.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 13/04/2010 08:18

Morning...Gorgeous here also..

You are not secretive DEM I am dense. I had forgotten about ice-skating and my mind boggled at what you would be wearing to go out.
I am sorry about your wrist though. and hope it doesn't keep you out of action for long.

I hope you are OK Bitter. I had child induced mind freeze yesterday and didn't offer my sympathies on the funeral. But I am glad it was a good service.

Enjoy MrsW Fanny, she is lovely, and Kiddy free is always a treat.

I have committed a social fopar. Weirdy Man rang last night to ask if he could take DD to a water centre for the day. With his DD. My gut was to say No but couldn't think of a good reason so I agreed but an hour later I was feeling physically sick with anxiety. and texted to politely cancel. He hasn't answered. I tried to be inoffensive but something just makes me feel uncomfortable.
The relief at her not going over weighs my embarrassment at messing him about but I am that I have this issue. It reminds me of the mess I am in inside and I prefer not having to go there.

Oh, sorry to start the day with that but it helps to share it.

I'm OK apart form that. This is my best time of day so am chipper otherwise.

Tea pots full.. xx

MitsubishiWarrioress · 13/04/2010 08:19

Oh and enjoy your shopping Bella... you deserve a treat..

Cold here but sunny. I have to write my official ntoice of withdrawl. I am procrastinating. Then i have 60 books to mark before i return them. Going to find somewhere to sit with nice scenery to do that. Not sure where yet. Need a change from Edale. Will have to google map or something.

TotalChaos · 13/04/2010 09:12

DEM - what about Wycollar sort of between hebden bridge and howarth? my mum dragged us there because of the bronte connection (apparently wycollar hall was the inspiration for Thornfield Hall) but it is absolutely gorgeous there.

Mitts - protecting your DD far more important than any social fopar. Well done.

DEM - do you do it by putting out your hand to protect yourself as you fall then?

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 09:13

Morning! Some lovely days planned by the sound of it.

Mitts, you did the right thing. You have to follow your instincts on these things. If you weren't comfortable with it, she'd pick up on it anyway.

DS is flicking through the cupcake cookbook that's on the table. "Cake, cake. Cake book. Mummy's book. Mmmm... Cakes!"

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 09:22

sort of I sat down abruptly, and i think probaly it came into contact with ice as i was being lazy with my arms. I wasnt expecting to run smack into someone. We both tried to avoid each other and collided. bloody hockey skaters.

Never heard of any of those places... will google. COuld be interesting.

TotalChaos · 13/04/2010 09:48

Hebden Bridge - cute "alternative" little town with posh little shops with lovely canal-side setting. Howarth - where Charlotte Bronte and Bronte family lived in the Vicarage. also a bit cute and touristy these days, cobbled streets, little shops, cafe etc.

right - fingers crossed, am off to the beach by bus and train.
