Hello

I am bella and have about 7lb to lose now using ww.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/04/2010 08:18

My body is definitely a junk barometer Clsudia... I feel so yucky if I over indulge.

I am flying in and out as I am getting sorted to take DC's out for the day.

So I am sorry, not time to catch up. I need a day out, I spoke to my bro yesterday who has had a couple of episodes that are alarmingly like minor strokes (he is 42). My Grandad on my Dad's side died of a stroke at quite a young age .
And my Dad had been quite unwell for some time and won't go to the doctors, my poor Mum is because she googled his symptoms and they are a potential indicator of prostrate cancer. It might be something and nothing but the longer he leaves it the worse he is getting. He won't listen to me.

So, a bit of a cloud really, Nanny McPhee will provide a distraction I am sure.

So, cheerio for now... any hugs gratefully received, take care, have fun and DRINK MORE WATER XX

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 08:19

I did, thanks Norma, very lovely.

Your sister sounds fun , but typical I'd say. Like Claudia I was a tricky teen, but more a moody, tortured one.

I am glad I have a few more years before the boys hit teenage angst and hormones.

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 08:20

Oh Mitts, have a good day

I think we'll go somewhere nice, just got to have a think about where, the sky looks grey and ominous.

TotalChaos · 06/04/2010 08:30

have a nice time at the cinema Mitts, sorry to hear about your family/health worries.

DreamsInBinary · 06/04/2010 08:49

IAteABetaDadsBreadstick · 06/04/2010 08:49

[haven't read anything, will do when get back from Chesire Zoo today]

DIB - Thank Godness!!!! You scared me for a bit before Sorry for the intrusive question.

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 08:51

Happy Wedding Day Iggi

Happy Birthday Jet

You're right, DIB, there is way too much excitement going on.

Hope the Bride and the Birthday girl both have wonderful days

DreamsInBinary · 06/04/2010 08:52

at zoo.

I love zoos. Especially the creepy-crawly bits.

Fleecy · 06/04/2010 08:56

Thanks all for the advice on the dairy-free. Might be a length shop this afternoon!

mitts so sorry to hear about your Dad and brother. If it helps, as they get older, many men suffer from enlarged prostates which give very similar symptoms without being cancerous. And if it is something, it's often very slow moving. Still best to get it checked out but my Dad was the same and wouldn't go either. His was prostate cancer but now all sorted - amazing what they can do these days!

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 09:19

do you know what? I dont feel relieved about given up the teaching. i enjoyed the teaching. dont really want to give it up -but it is not a decision i really had a choice with. And i am going to have to be careful not to resent the boy for having to make it.

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 09:23

Do you what breadstick. that sounds like a lovely plan. I think it might be seomthing i should do with ds this week.

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 09:27

DEM, your time will come, it could just be that it is not practical at the moment.
If teaching is truly what you want to do, when you can give it more of your time and attention then it will happen.
I am sorry though, it must be such a tough decision.

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 09:28

Chester zoo is fab, we used to go loads as SIL gave us an annual family pass one Christmas.
Eating our picnic whilst watching Zebras mate was a particular highlight one visit

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 09:32

You're right of course lizzy. Its hards to give up something you love because it is for the best. I guess this is how shiney felt about being a copper and sazzles with her job. right Must get up have dentist and must eat first as it will be late lunch today (filing).

hellsbelles · 06/04/2010 09:39

The hat is on, and the wedding fever begins. Does any one know what time Iggi's wedding starts?

so sorry that you have all that going on.

DEM - I know the ad's are daunting but they do work. Have made a huge difference in this household. A few weeks into them and it was like a cloud lifting. And everything is much clearer and calmer. I almost think it's worth deffering any big plan making until they start to take effect - does that make sense?

Yank - you are really going through it. Does it make it any better (or just slightly annoying) to say thank goodness it didn't start mid-flight?? Also try and focus on the end goal. All those welcoming arms ready to look after little yank and pamper you so you actually get some much needed rest.

Trills and Alice - enjoy chocolate cake and gossip!

I have managed to put on 2 lbs from a weekend of over indulgence so today I'm resolute in getting back on track. I walked into work (miles and miles ) - well it took 30 mins so I figure it must be quite a distance. And I'm doing no carbs for a few days (so will moan with you Bella)!

Hope everyone is getting some sunshine (though it's probably still chilly enough for you to wear you new wrist warmers wasting )

bellavita · 06/04/2010 09:50

Happy birthday jet - hope you have lovely day.

Am having to post on my phone because I cannot get my netbook to work so am sorry for not reading the posts.

Has scrambled egg for brekka so am feeling virtuous.

We are supposed to be going out today when dh an ds2 come back from picking up his bike from the shop.

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 06/04/2010 10:06

well done Bella!

Happy birthday Jet

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 10:16

Claudia, I am sooo spotty after a weekend of excess, but no more now.
I have also just ordered the 30 day Shred fitness DVD, apparently it is pretty hardcore. I need something for when I can't get out of the house to the gym.

Hells, I don't know what time Iggi is getting married, but how exciting. 30 minute walk is good, good luck with the low carbing.

Best get these boys off out somewhere, also need to buy some fruit and veg.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 11:17

Morning ladies.

Happy Wedding Day Iggi.

How exciting, I absolutely love weddings!

Happy Birthday Jet

Claudia - I really enjoy a good thunderstorm (gets me all frisky!).

DEM - A tough decision to make, but it's not forever and you wont regret doing the right thing by your DS in the long run. I have much admiration for you for taking the hard choice.

Sazz and everyone, thanks for the DC sympathy. DS has been on and off ill since he started at nursery. I had the same with DD when she started nursery for about 4 or 5 mths, then her immune system toughened up. DD isn't usually ill for ages, then is ill for about 2mths in one go.

However, today is better. DD slept all night last night, no puking and DS slept til 4, had a quick feed then slept on til 7. DD now at nursery (she asked to go) and DS asleep, prob going for a cpl of hrs this pm to nursery. I feel human and happy.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored my on my justgiving page (link on the FB page if anyone else interested). I've got about £35 pledged so far, but with another £30 coming.

So, there's a surprise , general election on 6th May. Should be an interesting few weeks.

hellsbelles · 06/04/2010 11:19

Cat - so glad DD is on the mend and they both had a better sleep.

Will check out FB page.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 11:23

argghhh Bloody neighbour is mowing his lawn and he's gonna wake up DS! I can tell. He has the smallest patch of grass and takes about 20 sodding minutes to mow it. Honestly, it's about 10ft square.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 11:26

Has anyone been watching Pineapple Dance Studios on Sky One? I love it. They are so camp and fantastic. Louis Spence is fantastic. I wish he was my friend.

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 11:32

I have no tv cat.

I hope ds manages to sleep through the noise.

Ds seems happier. I am tired and drained and might see if i can sneak a nap.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 11:37

DEM, probably the best way. I would happily read all the time but I think DH would think he had died if we didn't have the TV! A nap sounds like a good idea. Hope it helps!

YanknCock · 06/04/2010 11:40

morning all

happy belated birthday to Lizzy, and happy birthday to Jet!

and of course happy wedding day to Iggi, hope all is going well and stress free.

hells, I said exactly the same, ('at least it didn't happen on the plane') this morning when MrCock threw up and then had diarrhoea. We are an utterly wretched family. He is sleeping. DS is better, has fed twice this morning and no puking. He is also napping.

I am feeling tons better. Weighed in this morning and seems that all the puking and not eating have made up for the over indulgence of chocolate from MIL.

Our flight is at 6am tomorrow, so we need to leave the house by no later than 3am. Am going to consult my comprehensive packing lists (thankfully made just before I got ill) and start flinging things into suitcases.

MrCock has been given dioralyte and co-codymol (sp?) and is under orders to get better ASAFP. Poor man.
