Hello

I am bella and have about 7lb to lose now using ww.

OP posts:
DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 11:40

I have noisy child outside he is playing out with his aunt who i suspect is having a crafty fag (bless her she is a saint in some respects). I hate not having a tv. Always have noise on it the background. keeps my brain on track. I would love the opportunity to sink into a good book. its just i like to read cover to cover, and things a bit more grown up then aliens in underpants save the world ... not that i am being a literary snob or anything.

YanknCock · 06/04/2010 11:45

Mycat, is Louis Spence the one who was in cats? I've seen it a few times, he is hysterical! I will totally be his hag with you.

Mitts, sorry about the scary family health problems. It is so hard when parents will not help themselves by getting checked out.

and so much for my catch up, there's DS yelling again....

TrillianAstra · 06/04/2010 11:51

Oooh, wedding day! When do we get pictures? (impatient)

Happy Birtdhay to Jet!

Just got back from coffee (actually hot chocolate and fruity drinks) with Alice and her lovely (and now very chatty) DD.

I don't have any useful advice I'm afraid DEM, but hope things work out well for you.

Yank fingers crossed you and DS (and DH!) feel up to flying.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 11:59

Yank , yes I think he was in Cats. We will be his adoring hags together. He is v funny, and when he wants to be, a sublime dancer.

DEM we have Dinosaurs love Underpants as well as the Aliens. Just marvelous .

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:04

I'm Baaaack!

(yeah, like any of you missed me, or even have a clue who I am!)

Well, the upside of yesterday was that with all the dashes to the loo, etc I didn't have time to cram copious amounts of chocolate in my gob. Have only skimmed, but

Yank, glad you are all on the mend, hope you have a fabulous time!

DEM, that must have been a tough desicion, but I am a firm believer in 'What's meant for you won't pass you by.'

Mitts, sorry for your troubles.

Happy Birthday Jet!

  • The wii should definitely be at home with DD.

Oh, and I loooove Pineapple Dance! Andrew Stone is the most self deluded RL David Brent Type I have ever seen! It's like watching a car crash!

And apparently he is 27!

Surely by that logic I am a schoolgirl!

(lots of !, sorry)

So yesterday, all I could face was an apple and 2 rice cakes, so I am hoping I have lost a bit of weight, silver lining and all that!

So MIL's funeral is sorted, except I still don't know if I can go or not.

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 12:06

Is the back any better?

hellsbelles · 06/04/2010 12:10

Cat - pineapple dance studio is the highlight of our week. DS has taken to doing Louis impersonations though which is a mixed blessing.

One of my friends actually knows Louis in RL and said though charming is not as camp in RL. I was imaging he was like that 24/7!

Yank- poor poor Mr cock - though we sort of knew it was coming didn't we! Just imagine in a few days from now you will be in the sunshine and all this puke and poo will be a distant memory!

hellsbelles · 06/04/2010 12:13

B&T - more inside info on that! At pilates my teacher said she was in the same class as him so reckons he must be 36! Which makes a lot more sense.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 12:13

Bitter, that is an excellent description of Andrew Stone. I thought he was an actor playing the part of twat when I first saw him, but no he is real! And NO WAY IS HE 27! 37 maybe. Blimey, he must think we're all blind! Also the woman somebody Walsh Smith is barking howling mad and may have had one face lift too many her face is like this all the time.

Were you poorly yesterday? Sorry to hear that. Hoping you can get MIL's funeral.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:15

Back is almost back to normal, thanks (what a couple of weeks it's been!)

Hells - surely it would be exhausting to keep that up 24/7!

On a total tangent, am I right in thinking there are a couple of you lovely ladies who are handy with a sewing machine?

I got one for my birthday, and it scares me a little bit, but I would love to be able to make DD cute little outfits. She's an odd shape (tiny but tall) so it would be nice for her to have some clothes that fit her.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 12:15

hells, I've got a couple of good gay friends and they definitely play up the campness when in public (tis v funny though). Your lucky friend! I lluuurrrvvvveeee him!

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 12:18

Bitter, I'm not too bad with making clothes (not that I've said on here before though). I suggest a couple of very simple shift dresses to start off with - if you've got any you can cut a pattern off them (just make sure you have enough room for the hems). No darts required, v easy to make and pretty satisfying.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:18

Hells - I knew it!

DH is always a bit when I watch it and keep cackling in the manner of an elderly aunt "He's 27 you know!"

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:23

Ooops lots of x posts.

MyCat, I have a really simple rag doll as my starter project (pre-cut pattern and step by step instructions) just to get used to the machine.

Then I have this as my next step.
Do you think this would be worth getting, or should I be able to figure things out by myself?

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 12:29

Bitter, rag doll sounds like a good plan. I have no idea what you linked to though as it came up Forbidden when I clicked the link. Oo er!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:34

Oh yes, did I not mention I am going to sew my own gimp suit?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/04/2010 12:38

Bugger! ok, from the Book people, I have 'making children's clothes' - which has patterns, and was wondering if I should buy their 'how to use a sewing machine' - Do I need a Dummy's guide?

Actually, don't answer that...

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 12:39

Ya gotta be careful where you put the zip when sewing a gimp suit - so many things can go wrong if its not done right .

Still wont let me look at the links though.

DS awake now so gotta go but will catch up later.

the links are failing all over mn at the mo i suspect the techs have been doing some work else they have dropped some biscuit crumbs under that button.

Re sewing machine i started very simply. The first thing that i made was a table cloth, just straight seems, then an apron with pletting at the front, then a play tabard for a child - mum helped. The next thing that I made was a skirt and the zip bit terrified me so much it took my mil to bully me into finishing it. Since then i have made a pinifore. So my tip would be have some scrap material - off cuts or cheap or rags that you can practise straight and curvy lines. Get used to the machine. threading it up, going forwards and back to stay the ends etc. A simple pattern that is easy. Buttons and zips are harder so being comforatble with the basic seems really helps.
You will probably find that you will need to alter the pattern for dd so you will have a choice, tailor a longer pattern to fit or lengthen a pattern that fits width and shape. personally I find lengthening easier.

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 12:46

Hey SAF, your BACK! was wondering where you were and how you were doing! where the hell have you been woman you missed all the gossip!
