Happy Birthday Lizzy

Oh don't mention Boys Shoes Bella. And he wants a Helly Hanson Jacket. Despite having a very cool Animal one. That fits me but the sleeves are too short. He WON'T wear it.

He has grumbled that he thinks he is neglected when I am MNing . I said mmmmmm and waved distractedly.

I am loving pottering. I haven't had a break like this for years.

MyCatIsABastard · 05/04/2010 11:02

Mitts, I've just had DD literally climbing on me in a bid to get me off MN . Has it worked... er, well I'm hear telling you about it, so clearly not!

SUppose I had better go and do some parenting

Alice, was that you on FB with the eczema advice (not v good at the names). If so, thank you very very much. I shall be making a purchase.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 05/04/2010 11:03

Oh, I don't know hells. I don't know where I am with AF. I am quite physically affectionate and have no where to put it. I really miss all that stuff. I try to put it to the back of my mind. I have to do every thing at high speed to burn the energy off.

TrillianAstra · 05/04/2010 11:05

Yank was on FB, am sure she won't mund me saying, she's seen teh Dr and as of last night babyYank had stopped being sick, but tehy've changed the flights and will be going Tues or Weds.

Does porridge really keep you full all morning? And how do you make it have a nice texture?

TrillianAstra · 05/04/2010 11:06

Oh, and Happy Birthday to Lizzy if she sees this!

Alicetheinvisible · 05/04/2010 11:09

Mycat - yes, hope it helps

Trills - how is the head? Have text you.

I don't like hearing how children get more expensive as they get older DH thinks he needs a payrise because DD needs a pony

TotalChaos · 05/04/2010 11:10

Hello again ladies. sorry your DD has been poorly and you are somewhat sleep deprived my cat.

bellavita - good delegating re:shoes. hopefully won't be too bad looking for shoes today, not like summer holidays.

am currently on poo watch with DS, still not sure whether he's got a mild bug... had to cancel going to a meet from another site, in case it is a bug (one young child there is quite frail and vulnerable to bugs)and DS wouldn't be 48 hours clear.

lunch hasn't started well - the garlic has sprouted in the fridge, and the onion developed an odd white filmy bit in the middle, so binned them . Have skipped straight to frying the mushrooms and lean beef (in olive oil from sprayer). Such are the prevailing lack of domestic goddessery at Chaos Towers.

Trillian - I use a double amount of oats, but use water instead of milk to make it up with. And add some fruit/raisins, that fills me up nicely.

Craptastic. We all had a lovely sleep last night, 8+ hours. Got up this morning and fed DS as he seemed loads better. Was starting to think we could take the flight tomorrow. He just threw it up all over me about an hour after. Now doing 5ml of dioralyte every 5-10 min to try to get something into him. He's hardly peed at all in the last 24 hours.

Should I be thinking more positively that he went 12 hours without puking? Even though he was passed out for most of that due to being soooo tired and worn out from puking all day yesterday?

Have phoned the carpark and we lose another £35 as they won't change reservations--but will provide a letter for travel insurance. Got the GP to write a letter saying DS wasn't fit to travel today just in case we also need that for travel insurance.

What do I do now? Do I book for Wednesday and just hope he's better? Or cancel everything and start a travel insurance claim? If we don't go now, it will be at least another 6 months before we can go to the U.S. My dad and brother still have not seen him, and my mom hasn't seen him since he was 10 weeks old.

Yank - I don't know for sure that it will be the same with mini but DD did exactly the same with a recent virus. Got better but at morning feed would vomit. But not again throughout the day.

After it happened I watered down her milk for a few feeds 50/50 and she seemed o.k.

So do not despair.

Do they have Thurs flights so you can be sure all will be 100% better?

Mitts - the boys have Helly Hanson jackets - they were in the sale though from £65 to £45 - they got them just before Christmas. They are not thick winter jackets by any means though and they wear hoodies underneath on a cold day.

I think porridge is filling. Make mine with water, I use 3 tablespoons of oats. I use basic supermarket porridge oats, nothing fancy.

Yank, change for Wednesday. If you do that and by tomorrow night find he is no better can you still cancel and go through the insurance?

And that bloody webuyanycar.com advert gets on my nerves!

TotalChaos · 05/04/2010 11:32

oh no Yank, sorry to hear that DS is still poorly, these tummy bugs can be a bugger for cropping up again just when you have had a day/night clear. Could you book for later on this week than Wednesday, or is that not going to fit with work etc?

TrillianAstra · 05/04/2010 11:32

Oh no Yank, I had just posted your 'no puking for a few hrs' update and was hoping things were on the up.

bellavita · 05/04/2010 11:32

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaazzz - hello

Shiney, I thought you had Ocado anytime deliver? Can you not do it online?

MyCatIsABastard · 05/04/2010 11:34
  • was just about to get my lazy arse of the sofa to find the phone and text you. Glad you've had a good weekend.

Yank, I'd go for Weds if I were you. Just give DS the chance to get over it all. If this was his first proper feed for a couple of days his tummy is probably still getting used to it again.

Hi there Tits.

I missed you.

About that Shiney thing: Shush!

Want to know more about your dress and your weekend.

I went to work this morning, the buggers phoned and was rude to say no as holiday spends needed.
