New thread, same old plan.

We are a bunch of varying-in-size ladies (with the occassional male visitor) who all want to eat more healthily. We include those who want to lose 50 lbs, those who have already lost 50 lbs, those with only a little to lose, and some who just like to chat.

Come, post lots, and you will get encouragement, sympathy, and ass-kicking as necessary

Ah, if only I could share your amusement at my sad sorry state of a sex life. I can't even get him drunk for a quicky these days!

DIB, have you got a plastic carrier bag with you? Or your wash bag? FIll that with ice, bring it back to your room and empty into the sink, then pop the wine in.

DreamsInBinary · 28/03/2010 22:01

Mine is hundreds of miles away

But I did almost bump into a pilot in the room opposite on one of my ice-gathering trips

DidEinsteinsMum · 28/03/2010 22:01

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 22:04

Well done DEM

I shudder to think what I'll weigh when I get back from holiday (only 3 weeks to go!) but the battery in my scales has gone so maybe I'll just have to guess!

MyCatIsABastard · 28/03/2010 22:04

DIB, I can be very good at improvisation when it comes to getting myself a drink!

DreamsInBinary · 28/03/2010 22:05

Fab news, DEM

MyCatIsABastard · 28/03/2010 22:05

Glad to be of help TC

Bikini is good Sazz, not that you can go very wrong with a few triangles and some string! It's slightly padded which is good as I don't like the pokey-nipple look.

V impressed with the attempts to cool wine without a fridge1

yep cant really claim credit for it there are many others on the thread who have worked far harder to lose the weight. They are truely inspirational.

Right I am off to bed.

MyCatIsABastard · 28/03/2010 22:22

Sazz, I only seem to be resourceful when it comes to getting my self a plate of food and a drink to go with it, after that I am no good to man nor beast really (unless said man or beast wants a bloody good stew made from left overs and some rather delicious wine I just happen to have got in a bargain somewhere or other)

Right, DH has gone to bed and I am about to make my way up there too. Sadly though I believe I will be greeted by a slumbering DH rather than anything approaching lustfullness! Such is life!

See you all tomorrow.

bellavita · 28/03/2010 22:24

I'm going to bed too. I have a day off tomorrow as my jobshare swapped a shift earlier in March.

Night all.

TotalChaos · 28/03/2010 22:25

Sazzles - been at this since Boxing day, averaging a boring but steady 1lb per week. But seeing as I'm eating 1500 calories per day, and not doing that much exercise - 15 minutes a day on the Wii, and a fair amount of unbrisk walking that's about right really. I think the next stone will be the key, as 3 months in the novelty is wearing off!

DidEinsteinsMum · 28/03/2010 22:27

TBH TC - i would love to be closer to 9 / 9and half though not sure it is truely advised. So will have to be happy with 10stnone. I have had weight ishoos in the past and bad habits are far too easy to slip back into Will have to see what happens. Eaten like a pig today though. So my body is probably in shock at all the calories. Right I have worksheets to finish off. Scuttling off to do that on the notebook in front ot tv. The tank is taped into the internet so that I can get some connection. Thus I darent move it. PLus i have to shut down and reboot if i want to move it. The beauty of being mobile [grin} all i need now is something good to watch on tv....

Hmm thats what i thought - sunday night. Better raid the dvd collection then

TrillianAstra · 28/03/2010 22:28

That's anice steady loss Chaos - much better than crash dieting for re training yourself to eat the right amount when you reach your target.

I agree is doe get booooring though. Spiring is in the air, so new fresh summery foods are on their way.
