Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Ridiculous posts in the middle of serious discussions is what we are all about

I went into M&S this afternoon Shiney on the hunt for those flatbread sarnies - there weren't any left , lots of other sandwiches there but not those.

Have bought some euros today to put away for our hols, will try and buy some every month from now till August. Glad we are not going to the USA - the dollar is rubbish at the mo.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 17:48

We have missed you too, oh great leader

Food sounds nice today, glad you've upped your points, are you feeling thinner?

I would have liked either Shiney, I would have bought two - one for tomorrow and the other for Friday, but hey ho. Am going into town I think with DS's on Sat (DH has a conference to go to, well actually, he has organised it) he is out on Friday night wine/dining and all day Sat at the Conference then Sat night hitting the town again, so will be at a loose end and I thought I might take them to Pizza Express to break up the day, I will pop into M&S then to see if there are any with a good enough date on for Monday.

Sazz, I may put a pic on FB later, it is truly amateur though, I may block it so Bella can't see

Glad to see I am not the only one with a lora sibling love going on in the house, though it is DS2 who thumps first, thinks later.

Bella, we were going to stock up on Euros, but the rate was shite and we have had some unexpected bills....as bloody ever.

Yep just as shite as the dollar but I like to get ahead of myself.

Update on the bike situ.... Friends mum was in the village shop today and just happened to read the notice board. Someone had done a card saying "found blue mountain bike" and left a telephone number. Friend has gone round tonight and it was theirs. This chap and his wife happened to be walking their dog and saw the bike two days running in the same place so took it home and put the ad in the shop! I have already bought the vouchers for the Warhammer Shop, but DH said to still give them all to DS2's friend. So, a good result!

Lizzy, you daft thing! I bet it is fab.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 18:40

Oh thats good, Bella, how honest of them to hand it in!!!
A good result all round.

Have wrapped presents and afixed Happy Birthday banners........gawd I will have to have nurofen and red bull at the ready for tomorrow, all those boys......

Sazz, I would have got a topper for the cake if I'd have been bloody organised enough.
Last year they had a joint birthday party at a farm/soft play place so I made a square cake, covered it in green icing and stuck plastic tractor/cows/sheep etc on. People were really impressed, I don't think they have very high expectations of me though

I have never baked dcs b'day cakes,so am v. impressed with you all.
I always order them from the local bakery.
Had a heap of spinach with dinner so feel virtuous. My sweet tooth is at me though... AF (thankyou Norma!) maybe.
DCs are invited to 4 parties this w'end so am racking brains for barginous gift ideas.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 18:55

Double, have you a Home Bargains or Wilkos nearby? Some good stuff in there sometimes.
Or Asda/Tescos? The Works?
Asda had loads of books for £1 each.

goodness it's a proper shiney thread tonight...we have our leader back where she belongs (and not on FB )...and lots of good news (Bella that is so fab...I'm made up for you)...plus cakes being baked (proper diet thread that this is [grin)

Lizzy - I'm sure they will be lovely. And - not true but a lovely thing to say.

Trills have fun at the pub. I'm with shiney on that one - I used to love it when we had a tough day at work and we'd all just say 'let's go to the pub' - perfect (and even hangovers weren't as bad then)! I do miss that.

DH had a lovely time looking after DD today. The house is a tip but I'm trying not to moan. I'm waiting for him to suggest he does it every week - to which I will be rather as I really love my days with DD (but I know that it would be very unfair to protest!)

ummm...I think I may have overused the smileys as usual. I did a joke name change a while back and someone immediately knew it was me from the stupid smileys and multiple... and of course the overuse of !!!
