Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Fab birthday weekend then DIB!

You can have the Gruffalo cake an I'll go to Prague, it's a deal

Vinny, sorry about shitey meeting, you do really need to go to the docs though!!!!

Trills you could open a Saturday morning cook class for little ones, that would be the best contraception ever I think

Norma, don't worry, if they taste nice, who cares if there are domes, it just means that there is more to eat!

I have so much to do and my business partner is being so dim on the admin/IT side, I have to mop up after him constantly.
My life is running around after males, which always used to do , but that was a leetle bit more fun

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 15:25

Oooo DIB sorry missed that, have a fab time!

Men eh Lizzy, can't live with them can't shoot them!

bellavita · 03/03/2010 15:50

Oh blimey, I have forgotten what you lot have all said now!

Vinny, some "lakeside air" might just be the job! nice and peaceful.

Lizzy, ah I see now, I was thinking you were doing the whole outline of the gruffalo. Fondant is smooth icing (not royal) it does not go hard as such. Comes in blocks and you knead until pliable and then colour with paste if required.

Norma - you are so good with your weightlosses. I get up every morning and think oooh I feel thinner today, must have lost something only to be sooo disappointed. Just cut the domes off the cakes if you are going to ice - no one will see.

Shiney, we need you back on this thread pronto

doubleinstructions · 03/03/2010 16:22

Hi all
Hells - delighted at your finding your wallet
Lizzy - I am the broodiest I've ever been. No chance for me due to the celibacy!!
Had another great day at my course real diverse bunch. Majority have no confidence which is such a shame. I'm enjoying meeting them.
Food wise just fruit so far and fish in creme fraiche for dinner.
No exercise bar a bit of tai chi.Am looking forward to my walk tomorrow,I've missed it so will be out for a good couple of hours with the dog.

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 16:34

sneaking on quickly as work is pretty full on.

Thank you so much for not being too cross at my stupidity. I know you were angry on my behalf and that is why I'm so . I am not usually such a drama queen - I promise.

yank & Lizzy - my mum was/is catholic - a convent girl and although we ended up being CofE for many reasons I think I've managed to inherit some of her angst

Alice - fab news. So happy all is well

And yank - can't believe you sorted that out so quickly. Your work place need you back NOW if your 'sort it out' skills there are anything like the ones you use at home.

Cat - you poor poor thing - is there no one that can come and help out??

Mitts - oh I want to hug DS too. That is what I am totally dreading. Problems while they are little are relatively straight forward aren't they? But when it comes to the heart it's a whole new world.

And sazz - I haven't yet got the arguing stage but I remember my mum locking herself in a room when my brother and I were going at it!! I'm dreading that - hope you are getting some respite.

Lizzy - love love love the gruffalo cake!

Vinny - gutted for you. I hated bad reviews/meetings (one reason I love to work for myself...no one to tell me off ) - did he give you any constructive stuff? Or was it all just moan moan moan?

Sorry if I've not caught up properly - I really better go. See you all later.

bellavita · 03/03/2010 16:38

Ooooh yes Hells, I am so glad you found your wallet.

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 16:42

Thanks Bella, I really seem to have got back on trach recently than goodness I thought I was destined to be fat forever!

I made extra thick butter icing & just hid the domes, if I'd cut them off I would have eaten them

bellavita · 03/03/2010 16:43

Lizzy, if you have buttercream left over, it can be frozen you know. I have just taken some out of the freezer and I will make some cupcakes later on.

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 16:44

Food today:
2 cream crackers with some cheese
3 cups of tea
some pistachios (from last week's graze box)
tomato soup
lots of cherries that I have to eat before they go mouldy
I will be having beer and curry this evening but will aim to share a rice and naan with DP and may or may not pick a tomato-based rather than creamy-nutty-based curry.

I sometimes feel like I am demonstrating how to eat while maintaining a BMI of 22. I'm sure I'm not the best role model at all.

Where is Shiney?!

Hells if you are smug in a bad way and look down on others then you are due a balancing event from karma. If you believe in that sort of thing. If you are just walking along being pleased with your lot and with the world that's just called being happy and does not mean that something bad should happen to you.

Trills - it was the 2nd option I promise - I was just realising how lucky I was as the sun was shining. DD was smiling at me and being generally such a ray of happiness! And so hopefully there is no karma due to bite me in the bum

Sazz - oh lord - 18 months - I remember it only too well with DS...they haven't read the rule book about terrible twos have they? They always start early!

bellavita · 03/03/2010 16:53

Shiney is... well I am not sure. I had a txt from her to say she was feelinga bit better and would post later, but I am worried, she is never this quiet. I txted her back when I was on the bus going into town after work, but have heard nothing. Trills, would you give her a little txt to see if she is ok? It might perk her up hearing from someone else rather than me again.

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 16:58

Will do. Can't promise it'll be tactful or anything.

OP posts:
bellavita · 03/03/2010 16:59

Good on yer Trills

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 17:00

that's not like her at all is it? I do hope she's alright.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 03/03/2010 17:01

Hello all

Bella - Shiney's posting status updates on FB a lot, so not completely quiet. I hope she's ok though.

How is everyone else?

I'm going to yoga this evening

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 17:01

OK, I have asked her if she's had a text from her fancyman asking to have a threesome with him and his wife. If that doesn't bring a little chuckle then she's definitely not herself.

Oh God, do you remember when Shiney was ill?

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 17:02

Sazz same ages as my DC more or less (3.8 & 19 months) sometimes they play so sweetly together other times you would think they were killing each other by the blood curdling noises they make

Bella a few months back I found some chocolate buttercream I forgot about in the freezer so DH & I defrsosted it & had it on ice cream

Shiney updated her FB status a little while ago so she's about, maybe just in a funk?? Shiney if you're there come talk to us, we have strokes, hugs & tea a plenty Hope you're ok chook

bellavita · 03/03/2010 17:03
TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 17:07

Strokes and hugs might scare her off...

OP posts:
bellavita · 03/03/2010 17:08

Ooops, I meant to sound funny on her status and now it looks like I am really stern and peed off with her

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 17:09

LOL - no it doesn't Bella, she'll know you kidding!

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 17:26

Bella - she might be a tiny bit scared (you stalker )

Shiney will know you are teasing - won't you shiney????? Where are you!

Have to go and pick up DS. See you all later.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 17:26

I tell you what might cheer Shiney up, my blooming Grufallo cake, if you think the recipe/instructions look shoddy.....it is hilarious.
Bloody icing pens wouldn't work so I improvised with cola laces, DS1 thinks it looks cool, but that because he was desperate for the leftover buttercream (freeze it? in this house? I don't bake as much anymore, used to be a v regular occurence, not so much now).

Hope you're OK Shiney!

Hells you are very lovely and deserve good fortune, not bad. You are happy and count your blessing, you are not a smug showoffy person.

There are some posters on MN who could do well to follow your lead Not on this thread I hasten to add!

Gawd, I am a bitch
