Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Vinny...please see a doctor. You sound so much like when I had anaemia really badly. My bloods dropped to 8 and despite having this mad manic energy with which I kept running and running, I nearly ended up having a transfusion. It could be something so simple and within weeks you could be feeling better and you suddenly wish you had been before.
(Oh and my diet was brilliant, I was eating so healthily, I didn't see how I could have anaemia, it was stress that triggered it)

Hells... that you found your purse. I really felt sick for you.

Alice, I am glad you are ok. It is hard taking it easy if it isn't your nature but take care...x

Yank, crappy about the washing machine. Mine is temperamental and I actually talk to it and tell it how hard it works so it won't give up the ghost on me!! But glad you fixed things...

Shiney.. what's up Mrs?

I hope things get sorted for you and DH Lizzy , you sound so lovely..

DS has girl trouble and I really feel so for him. He had this thing about being unlovable and he started 'seeing' a friend and I think she realised it was a mistake and 'dumped' him, so now he feels he has lost a friend as well. She won't talk to him. Poor love. He had been so kind and supportive of her as she does have troubles. I just want to cuddle him better.

I am OK but struggling with the cold. I am supposed to be doing loads today, but really can't relax enough to get on properly.
to everybody else, back in a bit when I have got my lazy arse into action.

Alicetheinvisible · 03/03/2010 11:38

Your poor DS Mitts i am not looking forward to the day when DD comes to me with something i can't make better.

Ok, have a mad week of stuff to do, but will/can relax after that. I need to get my arse into gear and get dressed, but bleugh...

Horses are moving on friday, i need to sort out my whole tackroom of stuff into about 2 boxes and i'm really really not keen on spiders (there will be a fair few) Would ask DH to help but he is mad at work this week too. Rubber gloves?

YanknCock · 03/03/2010 11:53

VT, definitely time for the doctor.

Trills, no worries, we must all 'pay attention' to our other halves occasionally.

MyCat, did they give you anything to treat the infection? Sympathy, sounds awful trying to deal with DS's earthas with a painful ear/feeling ill.

Alice, glad the appointment went well. Definitely take it easier. DS is an August baby too, I feel all nostalgic hearing about your pregnancy and thinking 'that was me a year ago'.

Mitts, poor DS. Was this his first girlfriend? Why are you trying to do loads if you have a cold? Sit down, have a cuppa and watch some crap daytime telly--that is the rule when you have a cold.

Feeling a bit sore from pilates last night, but amazingly, for the first time in weeks, DS lasted the whole class and I didn't have to rush him out to feed him. He was being comedy baby and parping/babbling to fill all the silences. Fortunately it is mostly older ladies who take the class and they don't mind! Next week DH and I are going to split up and take turns watching DS--he's just not as happy to amuse himself and watch us as he was before. My friend is moving the later class to a bigger room so there is space in it now, otherwise we would have done it sooner.

Points yesterday - 33.5 Not too bad. I did have a vanilla shake from McDonalds as DH wanted to get one for his heartburn after pilates. They wouldn't sell me a small (only for kids apparently ), so got a medium thinking it was about 5-6 points and it turned out to be 8 I could have had a McFlurry for that!

Today making a WW flapjack recipe for DH, hoping to wean him off Alpen bars (expensive). Also doing a WW steak/mushroom pie recipe for dinner.

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 11:55

Tut tut MrYank - get a pint of milk from a corner shop or petrol station if you have heartburn

OP posts:
YanknCock · 03/03/2010 12:14

Trills, it was my fault really. He looked so miserable after pilates and I felt bad for feeding him falafel/halloumi/pesto (I made that salad again Sazz!) with only a 1/2 hour to digest before exercise. So I said--do you want a shake, would that help? and McDonalds is right across from the leisure centre!

YanknCock · 03/03/2010 12:16

oops, posted too soon

I was intending to just get DH a shake and have nothing, but got up to the window and succumbed.

DreamsInBinary · 03/03/2010 13:24

Yank, Alice and Hells - great news all round

VT - at the yog making you ill but get to a doctor

LL - days like that are hard. Repeat after me, "only 6.5 hours until bedtime..." and repeat

Yank..I haven't got a cold, I am cold. Or I was until I emptied and cleaned the fish tank, cleaned the back yard, scrubbed the tile floors, hoovered, tidied the living room, and now I am warm, perky and I want a kit kat please.

I have been really good,
No bread or stuff, very little milk,
fruit,
herbal teas but....

I want a kitkat.

Arguing is tough Sazzle, you have my heartfelt sympathy, some days it doesn't seem to matter what you do, they just rub each other up the wrong way.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 13:57

Well done Sazz, I won't have time to gym it today, but am going Thurs and Friday.

This is the Gruffalo cake Have just made the sponge, DS1 is helping me to decorate (neither of us are very methodical, hey ho, they are all 4 year olds!).

at Mitts's DS's girl trouble, I won't be held responsible for my actions if any dirty scrubbers girls break my boys' hearts!

Falafel salad sounds lovely Yank

DIB, you got any plans for tomorrow?

It is, isn't it?
Have to make some adjustments as DS2 hates bananas and one of the boys who is coming tomorrow is lactose intolerant, so it will look even more funny

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 14:12

Afternoon all,

Hells so pleased you found your purse Don't worry about it, we've all misplaced things & got in a right strop only to find them later (I've been known to yell DH for misplacing something then I find it & realise it was me )

Yank - what a an utter pisser about the washing machine

Vinny - get yourself to the doctor & get yourself checked otherwise I'm going to come up there & drag you to one myself!

Alice - how's DD this afternoon?

MyCat - sorry to hear DS is poorly & the tabs make you feel sick. You feeling any better now?

Lizzy loving the Gruffalo cake, how fab!

Sazz well done you on getting to the gym, where do you fnd your energy?! Urgh gotta love sibling squabbles eh? Pop some ear plugs in & make yourself a cuppa

Mitts here you go

Food today;

Sausages (WW) & Bacon sandwich (fresh bread) with a splodge of ketchup
Cup of tea

DreamsInBinary · 03/03/2010 14:14

Well, I'll be in work most of the day eating pastries and then we are going out for even more fattening food a meal in the evening with friends. Then I'll be PACKING FOR PRAGUE!!!

Nowt as exciting as a Gruffalo cake, though

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 14:16

Love the cake Lizzy.

A random homeware shop has just opened nearby (in the shop place where nthing last ore thana few months) and I've got some bargainous cake-decorating stuff, including a bendy spatula and a 'childen's cake decorating kit' with a piping bag. What shall I do with it?

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 14:20

oh i have just been in the worst meeting, our boss has told us that there have been complaints about our team, apparently we are disfunctional and disrespectful

Anyway the meeting went on through lunch and i was about to pass out with hunger, when another collegue noticed and said 'i think vinny is going to keel over in a min'

So just rushed to the supermarket (trust this to be the only day i dont bring my own lunch) and ended up scoffing down a slice of pork and egg pie and a cheese, ham and coleslaw baget

You could be onto something with 'anemia' Mitts, although i hope not, as those iron tabs they give you make your poo black

Norma i will go to the Docs, no need to come down here

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 14:22

Oh you poor thing Vinny, that sounds awful. Nothing like being told off whne you're feeling down already and can't defend yourself. Are your team dysfunctional and/or disrespectful?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/03/2010 14:23

I've been to Prague DiB, It was awesome, I hope you have a fab time.

The real virtual kit kat just hit the spot thank-you Norma .

The Gruffalo Cake looks too good to eat...

I omitted to mention I had been to bed for two hours before I got up and did my list Sazzle . So don't feel too bad.

Folding washing now. Which I enjoy.

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 14:24

be sure you do!! Glad you got something to eat, just take it easy you don't sound well!

Oooo Trills I am of your piping bag I forgot to pick one up today! I love my bendy spatula, I;d be lost without it I'ce promised DD to make cakes again this afternoon with mini eggs on top, think I'll crush some up to go inside too!

As a doctor I prescribe lots of steak, perhaps with a little red wine, and a spinach salad

When I was in Prague it was cold, pack your wooly scarf DiB!

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 14:52

We are not disfunctional or disrespectful, but we have openly moaned alot in the past year because of a project we are involved in that has been handled very badly by our boss and other senior members

It has gone tits up now, issues that we bought up in the very beginning but we were not listened too, have now caused the project to come to a stand still, anyway its all very boring so i wont drone on...

Cant wait to get out of this place today and not have to see it again until next week

NormaSknockers · 03/03/2010 15:08

Sounds like a right royal PIRA Vinny, only 2 & a half days til the weekend

Sazz that makese sense, forces you to go that way Thank you, I'm really pleased that I seem to be able to shift 2lbs a week suits me quite well that way as I can make smaller goals to aim for IYKWIM?

Just got cakes out the oven & I still end up with domes on the top need to add even less me thinks....
