Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Right time to get DD off to nursery then I'm taking DS for a nice long walk before my friend comes over with her baby DD - catch up later

YanknCock · 03/03/2010 08:33

Have I mentioned how much I hate my house and wish we'd stayed renting? Currys came to deliver new machine and take away old one, half the reason we bought from them was the free delivery, free recycling of old machine and £15 installation charge (other places charging around £50 for all three of those). So they got here, can't un-install old machine because hot water valve is busted and will flood kitchen if they remove. I now have two washing machines and need a plumber. Grrrrr.

And we'll have to get rid of old machine ourselves which DH's back cannot handle, and it prob wouldn't fit in our hatchback anyway!

DreamsInBinary · 03/03/2010 08:42

Yank - what a bummer

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 09:00

Oh Yank, that is crap.
Hope you get it sorted, a local plumber may take away the old one for you (at a cost)?

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 09:03

ahem - guess what I found stuffed into my coat sleeve this morning?! Who the feck puts their wallet in their jacket sleeve (well me obviously but not knowingly ) I feel very very bad that I was so at the innocent folk of Islington and spouting all sorts of 'laws of karma and pride' theories that were obviously shite. And most importantly garnering sympathy when absolutely none was deserved.

My punishment is that the card company said that now I have cancelled my cards I still have to wait for the new ones (they can't re-instate the old ones).

I'm so sorry all. You were all so lovely and made me feel so much better and now I feel very stupid.

I am however thrilled that I haven't lost my lovely christmas wallet - and the cash.

urghh- now onto Norma. 2 lbs is fab.

yank - what a huge pain in the butt. Washing machines are the pain of my life too. They seem to be cursed don't they?

wastingaway · 03/03/2010 09:03

Morning!

Yank, what a pain!
Check if your council does large item collection. Ours will take up to 8 items for £21.

Well done Norma! You're doing brilliantly!

My awesome busy-ness continues. I lurve springtime!

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 09:25

Morning all

I still have my headache, just seen my boss and she has agreed to let me take tomorrow and friday off, she said my eyes look puffy, and i look pale

I feel quite shaky, my mum thinks i have a migraine, but i have never had a mirgrane in my life!

Yank your granny bashing made me good on your for standing up to her, selfish old biddy

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 09:28

Yank what a pain about the old machine, coldnt they have just turned the water off and drained the remaining into a bucket?

If you can get the old machine to the front of your house, you can phone your local concil and they will come and remove it for free, i have done this before with an old fridge and washing machine, they came and took it in about a week

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 09:29

oh Vinny - migraines are not good. My mother suffered terribly from them. She found that certain foods triggered them (and red wine ) so if it does prove to be migraines perhaps that's something worth looking into.

I can't remember - did you manage to make a drs appointment?

Wasting - your energy is infectious!

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 09:31

Not been to the drs yet Hells, if i have never suffered with migraines before i cant see why i would get one suddenly, my diet has not changed, and i dont drink red wine (stains my teeth )

wastingaway · 03/03/2010 09:47

They can start in pg Vin, you and TWC been getting a little too close?

Hells, that's great you've got your wallet!

And thank you, it makes a change to feel energetic!

Right, off to town.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 09:53

Vinny, I get hormone related migraines, get them when pre-mentrual and also during early stages of pregnancy.

I think you should just go to the GPs, it could be migraines, it could be stress, it could be your eyes, but you need to know what it is so you can feel better.

That is an order (sort of)

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 10:02

Hi all, I was paying attention to DP last night (minds out of the gutters please).

Vinny get thee to a physician immediately.

Hells v glad you found your wallet.

BoF is this the trip that your ex didn't even tell you about? Why isn't he sorting out the passport and other faff? Presumably he knows his middle names.

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 10:03

I think its just stress/tiredness, with all the trouble with my car and not having any childfree time, i am exhausted

My parents are going to the Lakes today until Monday, i might go too, no work, no internet, no tv (well they have a tiny one but it hardly goes on) fresh country air, and real ale on the doorstep... bliss

hellsbelles · 03/03/2010 10:06

Vinny - I think the food triggers can be different for everyone (rather like allergies) and frustratingly they can just suddenly start up (I think my Mum was about 35 when they kicked in with a vengance). But coupled with your other symptoms it may be something else entirely (nothing sinister, maybe thyroid or hormonal).

I second Lizzy's bossiness. I know going to the drs is a pain but this has been going on a while and it's not fair you are suffering. Get it booked now madam!

did anyone hear from Alice. I hope all is good with her.

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 10:22

Been reading about migraines, maybe my craving of salt was a prodromal symptom of the migraine

YanknCock · 03/03/2010 10:24

hells, yay for finding your wallet! You didn't grow up Catholic by chance did you? All this talk of punishment/guilt seems very familiar too me

I also have good news to report: put out a plea on facebook for a local plumber, got number almost immediately off friend from tuesday lunch group (her neighbour). Phoned him, and he came out in an hour, has fixed valve, installed new machine, and is coming tomorrow to fix our leaky kitchen tap and sticky bathroom tap, AND called up a scrap man mate of his who is coming today to take away our old machine!!! REEEEEEESULT!

I feel almost high now!

MyCatIsABastard · 03/03/2010 10:28

Morning all. Ear still sore but getting a bit better. I have an outer ear infection and compacted was (tmi?) clamped to my eardrum, which is causing all the pain. Bloody hurts I can tell you.

Feeling extra sorry for myself cause DS has the runs and I feel sick from taking co-codamol. I know bloody codeine makes me sick but everytime I'm in loads of pain I think it'll be worth it ... it isn't!

Yank you Rock!

Hells, glad you found your wallet.

Vin, I've said it before and I'll say it again woman - get thee to the docs. Salt cravings and migraine like headaches need checking out.

Norma, well done on the next 2lb off.

Everyone else, sorry, but I'm stupid today and can't for the life of me remember what was said by everyone. I hope you are all well and happy.

Now have to play some bloody computer game with DD.

VinegarTits · 03/03/2010 10:30

Thats great news Yank

I am thinking that the yoghurt i was earting last week maybe the food trigger for my migraine (if it is a migraine) i dont usually have yoghurt, but had loads last week as was trying to be healthy

Thats it. i'm sticking to bacon butties for brekka

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 10:31

Yay for Yank, glad all sorted

Hells, yay also for finding your wallet, yes, you do sound very catholic (I know that feeling of guilt all to well).

Mycat, hope it clears up soon, and that DS's tummy clears up.

Vinny, go to the GPs, googling won't help!!!

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 10:32

What a lovely plumber Yank!

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 03/03/2010 10:41

Morning ladies

Yank - i am very happy on your behalf, when everything falls into place it is such a good feeling!

Vinny - do you normally have much dairy? My mum gets migraines and eczma from having dairy.

Helles - you losing your wallet was karma's way of getting back at you for looking so glamorous in your sunglasses

DD still poorly, not sure if it is just teeth as it has been going on for a week now. Neither of us are dressed or done anything except watching continuous Peppa Pig

Obstetrician went well, answered all of our questions and i have my cs booked for 19th August if i haven't gone into labour by then. I will be monitered almost continuously and they won't let my labour go on for as long. Feeling reassured but a bit as it seems so real now He also was not worried about the stitch/stretching pains, thinks i am probably doing too much.

TrillianAstra · 03/03/2010 10:47

Ooh, obstetrician-endorsed laziness, well done Alice Glad you're okay.

OP posts:
MyCatIsABastard · 03/03/2010 10:55

Alice, that's excting and you have been told to stop doing too much, so you must now put your feet up this instant.

I'm feeling bloody pants now. Hardly slept, DH is away til Friday, DD is full on and DS has runny guts. Just what I need. Taking the kids to pizza hut for lunch as feel too crap to cook.

Have a good day, might catch you later.

Lizzylou · 03/03/2010 10:57

Oh Mycat, is there anyone close by who could give you a break, so you could sleep? I'd forgotten your jammy DH was on the piste.

Alice, glad alls well, now rest up!

Have been v productive so far this morning, may be making my sponge soon........
