Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Woo-di-woo on ds1's new room, btw Vinny. His girlfriend must be civilising him...you'll never get rid of him now though.

jetcat · 28/02/2010 20:41

so would you go like for like Bella (total novice emoticon) it is 200g, so quite a lot

and thanks

Mitts - very at your DD making a cake all by herself (practicly) - junior has been working on her recipie sheet, then the planning sheet, which includes ingredients, method, equipment needed and safety issues bless her, she completed one of these at primary school once, and unbeknown to me, typed an exact copy onto her computer So now, whenever we are cooking, we have to have a sheet completed

Re the child free nights getting disturbed - i feel your pain

jetcat · 28/02/2010 20:43

Hells - i thought that too about the GF (and not the one who writes the books)

well done to him though Vinny, i bet it looks lovely

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:49

I will take pictures when they have finished but this is his colour scheme

They have finished painting and have gone to Mac D's and asked if i wanted anything, i said NO

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:55

its the top 2 colours

he has bought red bedding to go with it, choose it all himself oh and paid for it all himself too

NormaSknockers · 28/02/2010 21:02

Is MN stupidly slow for anyone else or just me

Vinny roast dinner with a Martini and a nap, that's it I'm moving in with you. at DS1 sounds like his GF gave him a kick up the arse!

Bella glad you had a nice dinner out. I have another cake question for you, when I make cupcakes they always, always come out with really high peaked tops IYKWIM which makes them a right pain to ice & decorate. How on Earth can I get them to come out like this

NormaSknockers · 28/02/2010 21:07

Nice colours Vinny even better that he paid for it all himself

DreamsInBinary · 28/02/2010 21:37

Hello

DEM - if you're still lurking, sorry I missed you.

DS had his hair cut on Sat, so he's gone from looking like a sweet toddler with masses of blonde curls to a great big giant boy with light brown hair . May break out the Sun-In... He went to his first rugby lesson yesterday - too too sweet.

How is everyone? I feel very bloated, because I have eaten like a horse. And I skipped aerobics [shame]

NormaSknockers · 28/02/2010 21:41

It's very when they suddnely start to look very grown up isn't it it DIB?

DreamsInBinary · 28/02/2010 21:54

Yes

Also saw 'Up' at the In-Laws today. Did not help my emotional state.

Evening!

Shiney, how exciting!
Situation with DD sounds tricky, but I agree with going with how she feels. The no bed thing is crap.

Vinny, very impressive, bless him!

DIB, I'm getting constant comments from ILs re: DS hair, which does look a little silly tbf, but I don't want to cut it!

Sleepy hugs for everyone else.

We've had a good day, apart from the football result. DH isn't too angry thankfully, cos we woz robbed I think.

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 22:06

Shiney i'm sure you will be fine once you get over the first few mins

Why am i craving salt? i have been like this for a few days, i could eat raw salt

I have really dry itchy skin at the corners of my mouth, nothing to do with craving salt i dont think but its weird as i never ever get dry skin, my skin it like an oil slick usually

Hello hello - sorry dashed off to catch up on dancing on ice.

Jet, yes I would do like for like, it will probably work but you may just have to do some tweaking maybe if not quite right the first time and yes, add almond essence.

Norma - yes I know the answer which is plain and simple... you cut the domes off so you have a nice flat top , but you really only need to fill them 2/3rds full. I have never made cupcakes to be without icing/buttercream, so cutting the domes off for me doesn't matter because the top is always decorated. Those are probably machine filled with a measured amount of mixture, that is why they are so perfect.

Hiya DEM

and hello Vinny - must be nice when the DC start paying for stuff themselves. Having said that, DS1 saves his pocket money and dinner money, so he does have a nice little nest egg building up.

DreamsInBinary · 28/02/2010 22:13

Me too, Bella. Was it me, or were they particlularly orange tonight?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/02/2010 22:16

Not this month but have had regular periods for the last 3 months so now have an idea when to bonk. Didn't realise how bothered I was about having another baby until it didn't happen.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/02/2010 22:18

VT - well done on your DS for painting his room and I am particularly envious about your snooze.

I did have a bit of a go at DH this morning, he is very keen for DC's to try all sorts of activities as he was only allowed to do rugby as his father spent his entire weekends at the rugby club (and still does), I said I think it is a great idea but how about he takes DD swiming'riding one weekend instead of it always being me.

DreamsInBinary · 28/02/2010 22:26

Am sorry, Fanny.

DS loved the rugby primarily because it was a DH & DS morning, and they have been looking forward to it for weeks. DD and I snuck in at the end, so I got to see his excited beaming face, looking terribly chuffed because he was playing rugby with Daddy (aka God )

bellavita · 28/02/2010 22:28

DIB - very tangoed indeed!

I said to Shiney that we all need to be part of a conference call with her and the new fella!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/02/2010 22:28

And DS has a cute new move, he wags his finger at you says sit there and toddles of to get a new book.

bellavita · 28/02/2010 22:28

Aww Fanny, it will happen soon.

DreamsInBinary · 28/02/2010 22:29

Definitely Bella. Dial me in

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 22:32

sorry fanny hope it happens soon for you, fingers crossed

Rollergirl1 · 28/02/2010 22:53

New thread? 15 pages to catch up on?!

Hope you all had lovely weekends. We found out about school and DD got into our 1st choice so am stupidly happy! Now just need to work out what I gonna do ref childcare/work.

BoF, haven't forgotten our little shoe quest. Searched for you on the facebook but couldn't find so need more guidance. Thankew.
