Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Afternoon all, BOF, oh god, I remember those days. Sorry you missed your lie in.

Mom has gone now, boys are feral and running round like maniacs upstairs.

Me and DH are "working" on the laptops.

Have eaten and drank far too much this weekend

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/02/2010 17:20

Oh and our claim to fame down here is that Kevin Spacey has filmed down here, and a bit of Nanny McPhee was and Elizabeth the Golden Age, along with many others.

Having him snoring in the next room kind of put me off my Saturday night French Maid kinda thing

Joking.

But yeah, not much of an aphrodisiac to be wondering if some lumbering divvy is choking on their own vomit really. Rather pissed off.

My parenting badge has been rammed right up my arse today

Yawn. Really don't want to be dealing with this today. Little fuckers.

TrillianAstra · 28/02/2010 18:17

So who gives out these badges in the first place? Getting drunk or eating leftover curry are fairly normal things to do - not exactly indicators of abuse or neglect.

In fact I'd really like some leftover curry right now, if there's any going spare

Bloody hell, I'm never going to catch up! Still have 4 pages to go!

Yesterday went to see our NCT group during the afternoon and then went grocery shopping at Sainsburys. I love shopping there, wish I could afford to do it more often. Then DH and I had a Dollhouse marathon to finish watching the series last night, thus my absence.

Today stayed in bed late, and then went to B&Q for various things and had dinner at the pub. I had a chicken breast thing which was not too bad. DS was grouchy and whining, so we skipped dessert, which DH has not stopped moaning about. I refused to take him to McDonald's for a McFlurry too, so he's had a Skinny Cow bar instead. I am feeling virtuous for not having one.

Have to feed DS now and will come back later this evening and try to catch up some more.

DidEinsteinsMum · 28/02/2010 18:47

Things a little better but still mad. Love the intro trills.

TrillianAstra · 28/02/2010 18:57

Hi DEM

What did you think of the post-apocalyptic world Yank? And Boyd! (won't say what about Boyd, in case anyone else is watching)

MitsubishiWarrioress · 28/02/2010 19:06

Yayyyyyy!!!

Thinking of you .

DD had just made a cake practically by herself (she is 7).

Sorry about last night BoF, I would be deeply annoyed if I was on a promise and missed out.

I am getting fecked orf with my child free nights being 'disturbed' and the ante always gets upped if I am doing something fun. Very suspicious. It makes me want to plan a secret life with trysts and a little frisson of secrecy and lots and lots of snogging and sex.

Shiney, I think Taya needs to know she can make the choice, but that makes me glum because DS is 12 and not a big fan of going to his Dad's. But when he is here he is very noticeable and I need a break from him to appreciate him, and if he is in the village, my house is treated like a drop in centre. dunno what I will do but Taya sounds like a different kettle of fish.

I have faffed this afternoon.

I have an overwhelming urge to be in bed.

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 19:37

Hello Dem

oh goodness I'm so behind.

Shiney - urghh...what a nightmare....but sounds like you have the solution now. Taya always comes across as such a lovely girl and so grounded.

BOF - that reminds me so much of when my DB did the same sort of thing.. He NEVER repeated the mistake (or at least not for a year or two )

Mitts - it is weird the way that seems to happen. It does appear that every time you have something planned they manage to put a spanner in the works. Maybe no secrecy needed - just no need to mention in advance when you have good plans!

Have messed up quite badly on the healthy eating this weekend with a sausage sandwich (in my defence - it was wholemeal bread!) for lunch and a few 'treats' throughout the day. I will resolve to be well behaved t/m.

MyCatIsABastard · 28/02/2010 19:59

GOod evening.

DC's are in bed and I am having healthy pressed grapes (wine ).

Shiney I think dropping down to 1 weekend in 4 and letting your DD's dad see more of her during the week is a much better idea. Poor kid having to sleep on the sofa. And the 15yr old is not a good example at all.

BOF I am glad you were not too drunk to remember to take off the gimp suit before getting in the taxi. Think you are doing exactly the right thing with DSS.

I am on a fruit eating gig today (4 satsumas, 2 pears, tons of blueberries and an apple so far). It'll pass.

NormaSknockers · 28/02/2010 20:09

Hi DEM how are you?

BOF what an utter PITA, not how you want to be spending your Saturday night Hope he has his tail firmly between his legs!

Fanny your lunch sounds lubberly

I was ludicrously old (compared to my friends) when I got drunk for the first time, I was 17! Never really drank again since then, I'm just not fussed by it.

Dinner was chicken wrapped in cheese & bacon, garlic potatoes, babycorn & roasted veg. Now 4.5 points left toying between Maltesers or something else....

jetcat · 28/02/2010 20:22

Hi DEM

BOF - your night got ruined

I need some foodie advice Junior has a recipie for a lemon and almond cake, which is just about within my food fat limits But, after the coconut cream pie disaster, i would like to be able to eat more than a mouthful

I have played about on food focus, and without the almonds it goes down from 130g fat per whole cake to 20 SO, is there anything i can replace the almonds with? A poster on there suggests ground rice with almond essence - would that work (calling Bella) But, i cant actually find ground rice on ff - is that the same as flaked rice?

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:28

have just posted a message on bofs thread that was meant for HERE

oh well everyone how i spent my afternoon now

have c&p FYI:

Evening all, have had a lovely afternoon, ds2 went out with xfil (trying to stop being grumpy with him, my dad thinks i am too harsh) so i cooked myself a roast dinner and had a martini and lemonade with it, then i slept all afternoon

Ds2 and his gf have been to Ikea and B&Q and have spent the evening painting his pit of a room, it was bare plaster before and has been like that for 3 yrs, i paid for the whole room to be re-plastered so he could paint it and he never did

So he has new bedding, candles, lampshades and even a vase with some flowers to go with his new colour scheme

Sorry i missed your drunken teenager dilemma bof, been there, done that, got the puke soaked t-shirt to go with it

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:29

knows (how did i managed to miss a whole word out )

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:30

That should say ds1 has been to Ikea

Ds2 doesnt have a GF yet (i hope!)

bellavita · 28/02/2010 20:31

I think ground rice is finer than ground almonds, but I can't see it making much difference. Perhaps you just need to go ahead and try it and see?

Have been to TGI Fridays. Was nice. I had steak, mash and veg. No dessert and diet coke.

Hello everyone!

BitOfFun · 28/02/2010 20:32
Grin
hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 20:33

Jet - I think you do need Bella for that - I would make it worse

Martini and roast dinner....can I come round to yours next week?

Do you thikn it's the GF that has had the miraculous effect on DS's desire to get his room sorted?!

got to go watch 24. Did anyone see that really weird thread about the BF mother and the bus driver and how it now all appears to be made up...if it's true then trolling has reached new heights. I hope to heck it's not.

VinegarTits · 28/02/2010 20:34

Hello Bella

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 20:34

xpost - of course Bella knew the answer. And by GF I meant girlfriend NOT Gina Ford.
now I really will go.
