OK folks you know the drill, and if you dont pay attention:

We are a bunch of lovely ladies all shapes and size, here for chat, and moral support.

Some of it is healthy eating chat. WW, LL, food focus, south beach. Whatever ever the route, whatever the goal its all here.

Most of the time its just moral support and general chat... So dive in, post as much as you are able and have some fun...

I think it's Pamela's birthday by the sounds of it?

I'm not a good healthy eater today. DH made croissants yesterday and I've just eaten a choc ice. DH will be home in a minute and I'm off for a run (in the dark ).

jetcat, have you neighbours with children? Take them round now. Say you bought them and they weren't liked and would their children like them for a treat. Or chuck them straight in the bin.

Although, if it was me I would allow myself one if I went for a run/did half an hour of really intensive housework, that sort of thing. One though. Not the lot. I don't think denying yourself completely is the way forward but I do think you have to be aware of the pay off to eating something unhealthy. Will you burn it off? If yes, then why the heck not.

DH says, in his defence, it's a really, really good book defluff!

Lizzylou · 17/02/2010 18:10

PamelaTroglodytes , welcome, join in, lots of inspiring ladies and lots of cock chat. Troglodyte is one of my fave words as well, bizarrely enough

SOH, stop putting yourself down, you are no slouch in the looks department yourself from your profile (and yes, your DH is FIT, he looks like the lead singer of Snow Patrol, is he of Irish/Celtic descent? Ooh and that vampire from Being Human, Mitchell), your DD looks edible in the baby pics, a good looking family all round, I'd say!

DEM, well done, you've been v proactive

Jet, give the mini rolls away!

Have just been to the gym and on the fat wobbler, have wine a chilling for this child free eve.

ShowOfHands · 17/02/2010 18:14

Troglodyte is a fabulous word.

Aww, Lizzy you say all the right things. Though I will have to google this chappie as I'm so behind the times I'm not sure I've heard of Snow Patrol. Yes to of celtic descent.

Been on a fat wobbler? Sounds fun. Was he good looking?

ShowOfHands · 17/02/2010 18:18

DH does look a bit like him!

When dd was little and this bloke came on the tv, she used to shout 'daddy' at him. DH is appalled.

Lizzylou · 17/02/2010 18:18

It is a vibrating machine, SOH, say no more A Power Plate.
I could literally feel my back fat wobbling off!
Your DH looks lovely, but so do you, truly. I am so married (and a tad broody)I did gaze adoringly at your DD's baby pics longer than at your DH's though

ShowOfHands · 17/02/2010 18:25

Yeah I do the same. She was a fairly cute baby. Never again though.

A vibrating machine. Sounds fascinating. Would the washing machine do the same thing? I think I saw Anna Friel on Jonathan Ross talking about using one. Well, if it makes you look like her then brillig. She also said she likes drinks made out of grass and things so perhaps I don't want to look like her after all. I start the day with an Earl Grey and some porridge not cuttings out of the garden.

jetcat · 17/02/2010 18:26

oh dont worry SOH - i have had one

DEM - i know i will be ill (remembers the throwing up night after junior's bloomin cream pie) but i keep thinking, one more...... Or, i can have one for breakfast....

I will wait and see if junior likes them, if she does, she can hide them with the rest of her chocolate stash

They are the lovely posh co-op ones, if that makes a difference....

Hope the little one is feeling better Vinny

Lizzylou · 17/02/2010 18:29

I have been having a go on the spin dryer, not worked, so Power Plate it is!

Google Mitchell (he is the good looking vampire) from Being Human as well, very similar look to your DH, though shorter I suspect.

Jet, no more! YOu know what will happen, it will not be pretty, missus.
Either cover the rest in washing up liquid or give em away......you know it makes sense!

traceybath · 17/02/2010 18:31

Afternoon all and hello to new people.

DS2 still not right - put himself to bed at 5pm so I've left him there but am very very afraid he'll now wake at 3am for the day.

Went out for lunch but was good and had pasta puttanesca and salad - feel a bit sick actually and not hungry tonight.

Early night tonight I think as DH away.

Mycat - happy birthday - hope you're having a lovely day.

ShowOfHands · 17/02/2010 18:33

I am very familiar with Mitchell from Being Human.

jetcat · 17/02/2010 18:37

tis ok Junior likes them, so she is putting them upstairs out my way!

Gone are the days where i could eat the whole box two or three, but - i am actually amazed at the fact that i havent munched them now!

Thanks guys

PamelaTroglodytes · 17/02/2010 18:37

Thanks DEM - don't worry, I've not been scared off, I am another one with a sick child that has wanted entertaining/nursing.

It was the allure of TWC that brought me in

I've recently taken up running again and really should go tonight but am very tempted by an early night and a takeaway after an awful day. Will try for the run.

Jetcat - hello. STEP AWAY from the chocolate cakes [hypocrite emoticon]

Lizzylou - The cock chat may well be the motivating factor for the diet, it has been a ridiculously long time while.

SOH - your DH looks like Mitchell from Being Human, makes croissants and likes reading?

jetcat · 17/02/2010 18:40

SOH - you are one ridiculously good looking family

Defluffmyfanjo · 17/02/2010 18:40

First I'm chucked by SOH's DH then, then I find out that Jeremy Sheffield is gay. Bloody disgraceful. I've been saving up my virginity for him (ahem), sort of. Well not really, not in reality but mentally I have

doubleinstructions · 17/02/2010 18:46

SOH - This sounds stupid but how do you run??
I'm out with my dog most days for at least an hour, walking as fast as I can over rough ground so Im exerting myself but running would obviously be better.
Haven't ran in 20 years!!
Should I just sprint as far as I can or build up??
I have visions of grace but will probably look like I'm being chased by axe wielding loon.
Any tips greatly appreciated.

Well done Jet

Was going to have jacket potatoes for dinner, but made DD some oven chips (homemade in olive oil with skins on) and they were so good that i am trying to think of something to go with them so we can have some for dinner

traceybath · 17/02/2010 19:00

Doubleinstructions - a few years ago (after birth of ds1 and before my wedding) I saw a personal trainer.

He got me funning by doing intervals initially - so 2 minutes running and then 1 minute walking and gradually increased the time running and decreased the time walking.

Am sure there are some good running threads on here.

doubleinstructions · 17/02/2010 19:21

Thanks traceybath

jetcat · 17/02/2010 19:26

jeremy sheffield is gay

NormaSknockers · 17/02/2010 19:27

Evening all,

Shiney I find gagging them works much better then killing them.

How fab re the other thread, we're infamous

I'm just popping my head in as I won't be long for bed & I'm off to London tomorrow with my lovely MIL (I'm not being sarcastic she really is lovely) to catch a show, lots of walking involved so that will help with the diet & I've packed lots of healthy, low pointed snacks & planned where to eat for lunch

Catch up with you tomorrow evening!

jetcat · 17/02/2010 19:28

tracey - thats how i was told to run too - by folks on here no less

Mind, mine was walk for a min, run for 20 secs when i first started

jetcat · 17/02/2010 19:29

oooh, enjoy your day Norma -sounds lovely

I am heading back down to London in July for a long weekend, and just trying to figure out if i can manage to get to see a show with friend who i am staying with - but its a case of what to do with the kids (as always!)

Lizzylou · 17/02/2010 19:30

Yep, sad but true, re: Jeremy sheffield
Have knwon for ages, where you been?
He is lush, my ideal man if he was straight!

doubleinstructions · 17/02/2010 19:33

jetcat - 20 secs is more like it for me for starters too.
