OK folks you know the drill, and if you dont pay attention:

We are a bunch of lovely ladies all shapes and size, here for chat, and moral support.

Some of it is healthy eating chat. WW, LL, food focus, south beach. Whatever ever the route, whatever the goal its all here.

Most of the time its just moral support and general chat... So dive in, post as much as you are able and have some fun...

Yes welcome Fleecy, my life is like a soap opera atm, its not always lie this though

I am still fantasising about sexy policeman from this morning

YanknCock · 18/02/2010 17:20

wow VT, at your xfil! What a dickhead! Any response to the request for a receipt?

DH home from work a bit early and watching an episode of Top Gear he's seen a million times already. Made him take DS off me and now being very bossy about him actually interacting with DS instead of just holding him while vegging out.

Welcome Fleecy and other newbies I might have missed! I've seen some new names, know the pink bird has namechanged, but am lost as to a few others.

Fleecy · 18/02/2010 17:44

I think we're all fantasising about your sexy policeman from this morning

Lizzylou · 18/02/2010 18:08

Bof, hope you feel better soon, I remember my room when I was a teenager, bleurgh, good luck with that!

Just been to the gym, was not very energetic, legs felt like lead weights, but I just did a bit less running and more on the summit trainer and the bike. Then the fat wobbler
Think it's because I've been hell for leather for the past 4 days running and my body isn't up to it yet, but I have to fit it in when i can. Hopefully will be getting fitter though.

Lizzylou · 18/02/2010 18:10

SOH, meant to say I am in awe of doing 10km last night and then again this morning
I used to run 7km 3 times a week and 10km once a week, at the moment I have too much timber to make that a pleasant experience! But am getting there.

hellsbelles · 18/02/2010 18:20

HI Fleecy - nice to see you here.

BOF - lucky DD1 - my mother refused to even go near my room...ever

Tracey - which were the cupcakes you tried from the heartbreak book? Can't remember which you said worked well.

traceybath · 18/02/2010 18:25

Hells - the courgette ones with jam in the middle. The light chocolate cake is also very yummy.

In fact may well make a cake tomorrow pm.

Oh if anyones booking a holiday - have just booked with simpson travel and got a free car upgrade for mentioning mumsnet.

DreamsInBinary · 18/02/2010 18:27

Where are you going, Tracey?

DreamsInBinary · 18/02/2010 18:34

I am knackered from being a SuperMum all day. Have discovered that having just the one means you can do all those proper parenting things like crafts and jigsaws and cooking, rather than just letteing them loose in the park. I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this when I actually had only one child though...

traceybath · 18/02/2010 18:36

Majorca - a villa just outside of Pollenca.

I normally book everything separately but couldn't find anything this time so just phoned simpsons and gave budget/date/and need to fly from bristol and they sorted it all. I don't think its costing any more either.

We go the first week of June so need to get tummy firmed up by then.

Very excited though as didn't have a holiday last year as had DD.

hellsbelles · 18/02/2010 18:45

Thanks tracey -is it the light chocolate cake that needs rice flour? Where on earth did you find it - Waitrose and Sainsbury didn't have any

Not too long to wait for your holiday! Lucky you.

DIB you are good. Sounds like a proper day of parenting - I'm rubbish at doing a full day of stuff...just one of those things in a day would be impressive for me.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/02/2010 18:52

Poo. Have had a fab day. Got dinner on. Then got a text from DH - hadn't left when he normally does at 6pm as got someone who'd booked an appt. with him at 3pm had just turned up . Last time he did this, he did a test drive and everything, got kept behind by this person for 45min and they didn't even do a deal!

This time, thankfully, he's done a very good deal and it was worth staying. But him being late really throws me. I find the last part of the afternoon tiring enough as it is, but I just hang onto that 'he'll be home in...'. Have had a mini-meltdown (first tears since Saturday, though, which suggests I've managed to get black dog under control for now) but all is well. DH'll just have to have cold supper.

Holidays - we never go abroad, but mostly because we love holidaying on the UK coast. I'm not a 'heat' person, so it suits us fine We're going to Dorset in April (and will see lovely Fanny!) and Cardiganshire in July.

Lizzylou · 18/02/2010 18:53

OOH, Tracey, sounds fab

Check you, Dibs! I have fits and starts between being Super Mommy and being Cbeebies/Club Penguin Mommy. Tomorrow have boys all day so am determined to be Super Mommy, will last all of, ooh, 10 mins. I do find it boring though, only so many times you can push a train around a track/try not to cry when they mix all the playdough colours/get excited about fighting with Ben 10 figures or set up a zoo........
I do like doing craft/painting stuff but it is soooo messy. I also like reading/writing with them but they are not so keen.

DreamsInBinary · 18/02/2010 18:55

Well that's the thing, HB - usually I'm rubbish.

But DD is only one and doesn't require so much energy as DS(3), so I could be more generous

Lizzylou · 18/02/2010 18:56

MrsWobble, I get like that, DH has been at least 30mins later every evening due to road works and it can make you want to tear your hair out, BUT at least DH sealed the deal, eh?
Whereabouts in Cardigan are you going? I spent 4 brill years there as a student!

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/02/2010 18:57

DIB - whenever I do something with just three of them, I wonder what I was complaining about when I only had three all the time

After I had DD2, I remember thinking 'blimey, I didn't know I was born when I only had one' and thought the same one every time I had another baby

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/02/2010 19:00

Lizzy - not sure, actually. Mum and Dad book it and just take us along with them. I think near Aberporth...um...I think...or maybe near Fishguard...actually I haven't a clue

We've been to that area every year for a few years and we really like it.

traceybath · 18/02/2010 19:03

Hells - I got the rice flour from sainsburys - its a Doves Farm one but you can use plain flour instead I think.

DIB - you're very good - I tend to let my children amuse themselves The boys play well together though which makes it easier.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/02/2010 19:25

Things are very slow on this thread at the moment - what's going on????

Goober · 18/02/2010 19:47

Helloooo lovelies.

Anybody tried Acai berry capsules?

jetcat · 18/02/2010 19:48

hi all

happy birthday five - it is today??

Vinny - hope you get the money thing sorted That is awful!

Glad you are feeling a bit better Bella

DEM - sorry, i havent been on FB all day, but i see you managed to delete it anyway

Hi Fleecy

Did you enjoy the gym Lizzy? My exercise bike has broke I think it is not used to so much weight work, and after just 11 mins today it ground to a halt. I am getting friend (who lent it to me) to come round on saturday to have a look at it, as it was brand new when she lent it to me but i am gutted i cant do my hour a day! Have done other exercise today, and will think of something for tomorrow, but i was just getting myself into a nice routine with bike

DidEinsteinsMum · 18/02/2010 19:56

Bloody hell its grin out there. Was blowing a blizzard and foggy. only jussst got back and i left at 12.30pm its a 3-4hour round trip... Not a good day to travel. ds is happy he has lego and scooby doo. Having fed him hot dogs at ikea (only reason to go in today) he doesnt need feeding. but i am knackered.

Must be all that fb chat thingy last night.

Evening all. I have been coming to terms with my age! Why an age should bother me, I really don't know it's only a number and being a certain age never has before, but for some reason 40 is taking getting used to.

Had a lovely meal out with DH last night but have spent today eating like a horse for some reason. I'm hoping it's my usual feeding fest before my period.

I'm off to catch up on the thread (only bloody 250 odd messages - I may be some time ).

ShowOfHands · 18/02/2010 20:37

I'm just about to take my first dance video off YouTube and wondered if any interested parties want a look at BIL1. Quality not brilliant but he's the one next to dh dancing with the girl in black. If you're not interested in him, have a laugh at me in a dress, dh's hair and play a game of 'how long till girl in black dress's boobs pop out of her low cut dress'. They don't sadly but it's touch and go a couple of times.

Off to catch up with the thread before I delete.

Here for the interested few.

More seriously, this is what I want to look like after lots more healthy eating and even more running.
