OK folks you know the drill, and if you dont pay attention:

We are a bunch of lovely ladies all shapes and size, here for chat, and moral support.

Some of it is healthy eating chat. WW, LL, food focus, south beach. Whatever ever the route, whatever the goal its all here.

Most of the time its just moral support and general chat... So dive in, post as much as you are able and have some fun...

Right, WWYD?

I have an acquaintance who used to be a friend who has upset me a lot over the past year (I've talked about it on here). I have to keep seeing her so am being friendly without getting in too deep. Anyway, her DH has been totally brainwashed by the local MP, after having been rather against their politics only a few months ago, and has been canvassing with him (taking his 5yo DD with him!) and has now decided to stand as a city councillor for that party. He is a puffed up, self-important, gullible twit (there are a million other reasons why this is so - this is just the latest example).

Anyway, he's invited me to be his 'fan' on FB - well, a fan of his campaign to become a city councillor. I am not going to become one, but I am so, so tempted to be very naughty, and find out who his opponent is and become a fan of his instead - would that be too naughty for words?

DidEinsteinsMum · 17/02/2010 21:49

depeds on how much fall out you can take if this friend gets up set by it..

Fuck i'm burning tea....

DreamsInBinary · 17/02/2010 21:52

MrsWobble - it would be very naughty indeed! Loving your new name

TrillianAstra · 17/02/2010 21:54

If you are a fan of his opponent then go for it. If you are a fan of neither than don't click on the opponent just cos this guy's a twat.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/02/2010 21:54

DIB - you are correct.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/02/2010 21:56

Right off to watch dodgy TV and then bed.

Night all.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 17/02/2010 21:58

Don't worry, I'd never do it. But it's so, so funny to dream of doing it! I'm so mean!

TA - I'm not in his ward, so not strictly a fan, but think more of his opponent's party than his bloke's party (as did he before he met up with our MP on another matter and then got all chummy with him - namedropping all over the place. It's really very pathetic!).

I want chocolate spread on toast!

DreamsInBinary · 17/02/2010 21:58

Woohoo

I do like being right

TrillianAstra · 17/02/2010 22:01

So... cherries or cheesecake?

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 17/02/2010 22:03

che...................rry cheesecake? Gin

DidEinsteinsMum · 17/02/2010 22:03

Both! !

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 17/02/2010 22:06

No, not gin I had gin last night

wastingaway · 17/02/2010 22:09

MrsWobble, as long as you genuinely feel that way about their politics.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 17/02/2010 22:09

haha

DidEinsteinsMum · 17/02/2010 22:12

I have found what ds calls my music on radio one. no wonder i have not caught it before, its normal air time is between 1am and 3am. oh to be young and up at that time of night. I-player is fab, but i really am ... oh fuck i need precisely that me thinks. might be settling.

As there is no chance of that. guess i try to focus on lesson plans and reviews.

OP posts:
MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 17/02/2010 22:13

I think I would probably consider hanging myself if I lived in this bloke's ward if he became a city councillor! It's not likely though - his ward is pretty staunchly in favour of the opposing party.

DidEinsteinsMum · 17/02/2010 22:15

In that cause vote for the opposition. If he is that bad they'll benefit from the support. Call it an act of social conscions (sp)Counsion (sp)... do you get what i mean despite the spelling?

Is this thread taking a ridiculously long time to load for anyone else? My internet in general is taking an age atm, but this thread is taking aaaaaages.

Jet when you see this, can I ask if you were at your heavier weight when you started running?
I'd love to start, but am worried I'll hurt myself.

DidEinsteinsMum · 17/02/2010 22:19

Wasting, i know that proper running tracks are slightly springy helping to protect knees from impact injury so that might be better then trying to run on pavement which has no give and could cause impact issues.

As for upload speed. its not to bad but am multi-tasking and that makes it slow.
