Haha. I read Seeker's post. FWIW I think that it's daft to put ages to times it's ok to do things - you know your DD, I know mine, seeker knows hers (if she's got one - can't remember!) - they'll all be ready, safe and mature enough to do certain things at different ages and, we, as their mothers, know better than anyone else when that is. I respect Seeker, but I respect you too and I would assume that you are not the sort of person to just say 'yeah, go out late on your own young' without having thought it through and I think Seeker (and your DD) should respect that. Having said that, maybe saying to your DD that you thought she was ready, but maybe she isn't going by the fact she lied to you might help her to understand the gravity of it?
