MOrning all
Goober, eat more!

Defluff, good to see you, hope you start getting some sleep

DIB, how was the gym? Hope DS is OK

BOF, hope your DD sitch is sorted, I was a terror for lying to my Mom about where I was going and who with, mainly because she was v strict and wouldn't let me do anything. I always got caught out though.

Mitts, Hope you feel OK

Got boys ready for school, so school run then MN work.

jetcatisfrozen · 11/02/2010 08:05

morning all, and Hi Defluff

Yank, i started out on here at 19st1 and was way too embarrassed to post how much i weighed. But, once i settled in a bit, and got to know the others, it felt much easier, so well done for posting your weight - that must mean you feel comfortable with us

BOF - junior does that to me all the time, lies over the most stupid of things, then gets into trouble for lying when the thing she lyed about wouldnt have got her into trouble I'll never understand her

Speaking of Junior, she made a coconut cream pie yesterday from her Icarly book - i figured one slice wouldnt hurt I have since been up all night vomiting Must be the reaction with the tablets, and she had more than me and is fine. I just hope i can get mini round to school without vomiting again

Lizzylou · 11/02/2010 08:07

Flam, have you used a mooncup before? I am too squeamish to even think about it, but do feel I should.

Oh, have a look on promotion code topic, there is another Very/Littlewoods/Additions code, £20 off no min spend.
Got DS1 a DS game for his birthday for £5.

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 08:21

Yes, I have Lizzy, but didn't really get enough practice to get using it 100% of the time before I had the period from hell after I had my coil fitted at the end of last year. So I've had two cycles without it, and am going to have another go this time. I'm not at all squeamish though.

Yank - well done for posting your weight! Do you feel liberated?

Jet - do you mind me asking how much you weigh now? What have you lost since you started on here?

travellingwilbury · 11/02/2010 08:26

Hello all , well I have been and gone and done it . I am officially a non smoker
Felling ok at the minute so please god that lasts .

I am off to the dentis in a bit with my 6 yr old which will be fun

Then a day of cleaning my pit of a house and maybe just popping on to here . It is a tough life .

Have a good one all .

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 08:27

Woohoo! Well done Wilbury! Good luck with it. And the dentist...and the cleaning...

travellingwilbury · 11/02/2010 08:31

Thankyou FB , I am actually excited rather than freaking out , v strange .

DreamsInBinary · 11/02/2010 08:43

Well done Wilbury! In a few days you will feel (smug and) cleansed and then in a few weeks you'll be (sumg and) healthy and full of energy

I meant to say yesterday, congrats to Yank for taking the jump and posting your weight. Scary stuff to post something so personal (no-one in rl knows how much I weigh!) but imo it helps when we know one another's goals.

Good luck with the moon cup, FB. I was gettign along rather well with mine (STALK CUT OFF!) but since my fabbo mirena, I've had no need.
Oh, and love the word 'beau'. Don't get to hear it often enough. Like 'courting'. Reminds me of Anne of Green Gables and a more genteel age (other than the consumption - coughing up blood not so vintagey wistful)

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 08:49

Beau makes me think of Gone With The Wind! I want that film on dvd - had it on video but our video machine broke so we just ditched it and all our videos including my collection of all-time favourites - all my Audrey Hepburn films, my Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice, Gone With the Wind....

wastingaway · 11/02/2010 08:54

Morning!

Well done Wilbury! I quit with Allen Carr some time ago. Have a good day!

Hope you feel lighter soon Flamingo. Periods are well rubbish.
Good luck with the mooncup, I'm still not feeling brave enough to give that a go.

Hope the pain settles for you Mitts.

DH is off again, and we're all going to go to the docs shortly.
I've got to get myself psyched up to push for correct treatment for DS oral thrush, as GP said I didn't need treatment before.

YanknCock · 11/02/2010 08:54

the last time I heard the word 'courting' was the very first time I met DH's dad. The conversation went like this:

DH: "I've been really tired lately, been to the doctor for some blood tests."

FIL: (looks at me) and then in his cockney geezer accent.... "Whatsa matta son? Been doin' too much COURTIN' avya?"

Thank god we'd been to the pub for a drink first! Wanted to sink into the floor.

YanknCock · 11/02/2010 08:57

FB, I've got GWTW on DVD! One of my all time favourites.

jet, I guess I do feel quite comfy here now.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2010 09:03

Well done TW (you will be so glad you share those initials with our mascot ) on the smoking- the Allen Carr thing really does make you feel good about choosing to not smoke, it's great.

I have just checked my thread about dd, and had a bit of a telling off from seeker - I am sure there must be a dubious privilege in being the slackest mum on MN, so I'm not sure whether to be or ! I don't want to get tooo defensive though- I do think I get the balance right, mostly. I think dd generally is trustworthy too- she will regret having cocked that up with me.

BelfastBloke · 11/02/2010 09:11

Is it normal, after shaving throat, to continue on down and shave your shoulders?

Anyone else DeFluffed their shoulders recently?

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 09:12

I thought I was in a better mood today, but oh no! Clearly wishful thinking. Have just torn a strip off DD3 (3) for complaining (as per usual) that I haven't put enough sugar on her cereal. Now she's refusing to eat it because I chucked a load of sugar on it and yelled at her. She's currently upstairs doing the most irritating crying in the world. I'm horrible.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2010 09:13

Seeker's point of view is one I respect, however- I'm less impressed by being barked at since by someone else to "get a bloody taxi" . Maybe I've given the impression I'm loaded or something with the ski trip, which her dad has funded for the most part...gawd, I can see that thread turning all judgey now. Can't be arsed justifying my financial situation, so may go back to bed for an hour and listen out for the postman who is bringing dd's eBay fancy dress costume for her school trip. Hope I don't miss him, or she'll be up shit creek.

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 09:15

Surely I'm slacker than you, BOF!? I was one of the ones saying not to punish her! What was seeker saying?

jetcatisfrozen · 11/02/2010 09:16

you're welcome Yank

FB - i usually just get weighed once every 4 weeks with my nurse practitioner, and can never remember my weight(think its proably more that i dont want to remember!) But, according to my scales this morning, i have lost a grand total of

52lbs since last July. Am hoping to lose more before the meet in June though

Well done wilbury - a non-smoker!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 11/02/2010 09:20

I have to daily BB ..

You GO TW..... i Have never smoked but apprciate how tough it must be. Especially if you don't really want to.

There is a woeful lack of cock on this thread so far so cock cock cockity cock.
now he really is magnificent!

I want some!

Hey Mitsubishi,

Those were private photos. You swore you wouldn't post them on t'internet.

travellingwilbury · 11/02/2010 09:27

I had forgotten about the whole Terywoganscock thing .

Thank you for all the well dones . For all of you that gave up using Allen Carr did you really find it as easy as he reckons you will ? I am feeling really good this morning but I just can't quite believe it can be this easy .

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 09:27

52lb!!!!???? Wow!!!

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 09:29

Mitts at that second photo .

FlamingoBingo · 11/02/2010 09:36

Haha. I read Seeker's post. FWIW I think that it's daft to put ages to times it's ok to do things - you know your DD, I know mine, seeker knows hers (if she's got one - can't remember!) - they'll all be ready, safe and mature enough to do certain things at different ages and, we, as their mothers, know better than anyone else when that is. I respect Seeker, but I respect you too and I would assume that you are not the sort of person to just say 'yeah, go out late on your own young' without having thought it through and I think Seeker (and your DD) should respect that. Having said that, maybe saying to your DD that you thought she was ready, but maybe she isn't going by the fact she lied to you might help her to understand the gravity of it?
