i had a lovely walk on the beach today, so thats 2 days on the run i have done some exercise

how many points are a cheese slice? cos i just ate two

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 17:29

gin, lemoncello and absinthe thats sounds lethal

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 17:30

Bella - if you're getting an iphone it might be that 18 months contract with a free iphone is actually cheaper than paying for the iphone adn continuing to top up as you do. Plus you'll get internet-on-iphone-time in the contract.

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 17:31

im having crispy duck and pancakes tonight, i might have fruit cocktail covered in lemoncello for afters

will be like a romantic valentine meal for one

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 17:31

Yes Vin, yes it does!

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 17:33

Mmm, crispy duck.

I bought some poncey meat and cheese and bread for an antipasto-type thing, but now just feel like I'd rather have some carbs.

I am cooking the thrice-baked cheesecake though, so am a virtual domestic goddess.

hellsbelles · 13/02/2010 17:35

Trills - very nice. I shall ensure DH doesn't see as he'll be on at me to get one.

Bella - which shop is the intimidating one? Don't ever feel like that about a shop.

Vinny - glad you got it sorted with FIL.

bellavita · 13/02/2010 17:37

at Vinny's romantic meal for one!

bellavita · 13/02/2010 17:37

hells - it is called Sarah Coggles.

bellavita · 13/02/2010 17:39

Mmmm I love cheesecake Trills. I have baked many, but not three times for one. What flavour is it?

YanknCock · 13/02/2010 17:43

Shiney, glad you're feeling more chilled today. (he's still a wanker though)

hells, how did it go with SIL's new guy?

VT, at 'hubby's home'. I'd want to scream 'fuck off' at your xfil only because I can't stand textspeak. That's probably not it though is it? Is he trying to make you feel bad?

Alice, at you going to the zoo. I love zoos. Can't wait to take DS for the first time. And I would have smiled sympathetically at you as you ignored the screaming--you're showing her screaming doesn't work on you. Better than the woman I heard in Asda today who repeatedly told her kid to 'shut up' at least 20 times in 4 minutes.

MyCat, sounds like you're having a miserable time with the snot monster...hope you get some rest this weekend and it shifts soon.

bella, good news about them sorting it for free. Personally I'd rather have the iphone, cars to me are for getting from Point A to B and as long as they are comfy on the inside I don't really care. And welcome to WW online!

Fanny, what lovely news! A very good friend of DH has been trying IVF for 10 years following an ectopic pregnancy. They were just about to go to the U.S. to have some weird experimental thing when she got pregnant naturally (age 40). She's due quite soon, we are so excited for them.

Trills, I sold my corset on ebay not too long ago. Just wasn't getting a lot of use out of it! That one is pretty though....

I've been out all day. First the mall, DH meeting the lady from the meditation class we went to ages ago, wants to restart all of it (it didn't suit me). Got some boots half price in Clarks and another pair on sale, first new footwear in over a year, unless you count the £2 flipflops from Asda that were the only thing that fit while I was pregnant.

Then went to library with DS, then had massage, lunch and grocery shopping. Only got home at 4pm! Am knackered.

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 17:54

This is baked vanilla cheese cake, I'm not doing the usual sour cream topping and am attempting to mae a 'coulis' or something out of some fruit I found i the freezer (stashed there during the summer as I can't bear tp throw out expensive things but knew it wasn't going to all get eaten.

Congrats on your footwear Yank, are they nice?

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 18:01

you had a massage Yank?

bellavita · 13/02/2010 18:09

Massage . What is your footwear like?

Trills, just bung the fruit in a blender or do you have one of those mouli things? and add some icing sugar et voila - coulis is made. If you want a smooth coulis, just push it through a sieve afterwards. I am sure you know all this already.

DH is on his second glass of wine

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 19:01

Come play a game

jetcat · 13/02/2010 19:09

Bella - very of your poss new iphone!

Vinny, i think you handled your ex brilliantly - as did you shiney And very very at crispy duck!

Trills - that corset is lovely, would be it outerwear or underwear

Hope you feel better soon MyCay

Fanny - thats lovely news

Yank, well done on the footwear bargains - i remember just wearing flip flops aswell

Alice, also very at the zoo, mini loved our first visit to Blackpool zoo - she dits for ages looking at the photos on the computer

I have been to the pictures today, to see Valentines Day, and was pleasanty surprised]smile] It was really good, but in full confession mood, i did have a frankie and bennies cheesburger for lunch - but mangaged to avoid the chips at least

NormaSknockers · 13/02/2010 19:42

Evening all,

Keep thinking it's Friday Going to try & catch up I'll be back....

NormaSknockers · 13/02/2010 19:46

Ok I'm to lazy to read through 4 pages

How's everyones weekends going? Shiney did you sort twat Teds dad out?

hellsbelles · 13/02/2010 19:48

Trills - thank you! DS is now convinced that the computer is a genius. That game is so addictive. They must have a database to end all databases!

YanknCock · 13/02/2010 19:49

Yep, DH and I have a massage once a month from our 'alternative therapist' aka my friend whose son just died. She is also our pilates instructor and occasional babysitter. Fabulous woman all round. We were looking for someone to do sports massage for DH and reflexology for me when we moved up here, that's how we met her. I get massages now because my back is always killing me from feeding/carrying DS. She is doing well, says she finds it easier to be at work and just getting on with things. DS had big smiles for her today so that helped too.

Footwear--I got a pair of brown sort of suede (nubock?) boots and a pair of black boots. The brown ones are more casual and look good with jeans. The black ones are a bit dressier and will be good for work (I always wear trousers). Most importantly, they are both comfortable and have low wide heels that I won't fall off of.

Have just recreated the falafel, haloumi and rocket salad with pesto dressing that Sazzles and I had when we met up. DH was a little skeptical but said it was very good. Restaurant's was a bit nicer, but I think a decent effort (and took about 5 minutes to make!).

hellsbelles · 13/02/2010 19:50

Yank - you do so much - you make me feel so lazy. where do you get your energy from?

YanknCock · 13/02/2010 19:56

Black boots

Brown boots The pic is black, can't find a pic of the brown ones.

YanknCock · 13/02/2010 19:57

hells, it is saved up from my pregnancy. I was so depressed, sick, and in pain that I hardly left the house for 9 months!

NormaSknockers · 13/02/2010 19:58

I like the top ones Yank, they look comfy!

YanknCock · 13/02/2010 19:59

Life is too short for uncomfortable footwear
