oh Bella - iphone 100% I love mine. I've never been a mobile phone person. I really couldn't understand why everyone always went on about them...until I got my i-phone. And I can tell you all the brilliant apps to download (I know I sound a bit obsessed!). I think you are too sophisticated and elegant for a pimped up car.

Alice - I do that smiley thing to mothers now (though possibly come across as a bit weird?!) because I remember how flippin horrible it was to be judged. It always make everything so much worse as the mother gets stressed at being judged which makes the LO play up more.

One of my friends sound like yours. But I'm willing to bet there is something they admire about you and a bit of....so don't stress, just try and enjoy it.

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 12:53

Inspired by Alice, and egged on by DP, I have purchased a cheapy corset from ebay to see if I like it. Expensive ones may follow if we win the lottery.

Alicetheinvisible · 13/02/2010 14:02

Trills

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 14:21

Yes bella i agree go for the iphone

then come summer you can swap your car for a convertible without your dh, moaning about the expensive body kit you only got a few months ago

bellavita · 13/02/2010 14:38
Grin
bellavita · 13/02/2010 14:44

Corset looks nice Trills, lovely colour - is that the colour you have bought?

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 14:46

DH and my Dad both upgraded to iphones last month. They're amazing.

DH brought me some flowers, they're lovely.

I'm going to bake rose flavoured cupcakes with rose buttercream later and then DH is cooking us a meal.

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 14:52

xfil wants to take finnster the zoo tomorrow, i got the following message from him which has annoyed me

'i know this is a bit embarrassin 4 u and u might feel u have 2 oblige cos of ur car but please dont and only if u've nothin planned can i take finn the zoo, u can come too if u want'

why do i just want to scream 'fuckoff' at him?

bellavita · 13/02/2010 14:55

Mmm cupcakes wasting

DS2 took my phone out with him after school yesterday. It is one of those that the front slides up. When I got it back, it had grit or something between the two layers... DH said to me shall I buy you an I-Phone? Me - thinking yes yes yes, actually saying oooh no they are too expensive. He thought they were around £350. He had a look but found they were actually £450 for the new model and said hmmm maybe not then. This morning when he offered to go halves with the car, I said it would be far cheaper for him to pay for the phone instead. Will have to wait till the end of the month though for the phone. >

bellavita · 13/02/2010 14:58

Text back Vinny and say you already have plans.

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 14:59

Yep, thpink/black one with an open back. BoF will be along in a minute adn explain how it's not a proper one, but I can't write it off as a business cost.

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 15:05

You're busy Vinny. And you don't want to.

It's up to you whether you tell him the second part.

I am just about 10lbs overweight Shiney - that takes me to 8.3 which is what my ideal weight is although I would like to be around 8st but I find that difficult.

DH said I need to exercise. I know that but apart from doing the dvd in the room or going on the wii fit, I find that I don't have time to do much else now - am working extra hours and being out of the house 5 days a week limits stuff like housework. I had bit of a strop on with myself earlier as upstairs needed doing and I just have not had the time. It also has not helped that DH was off work Mon and Tues - which are my late starts and I usually do downstairs Mon and upstairs on Tue with a bit of a titivate on a Friday afternoon.

Right, off to get my purse and join up.

Am nipping into town tomorrow with DH and I am going to see if Office have got any UGGs in. Oooh one of my work colleagues had a fantastic jacket on yesterday - she said to me try it on and it fit perfectly. It is from one of those shops though where I feel a bit intimidated to go into. The jacket was a bloody bargain in the sale - £500 down to £125 - really snug and warm. I might build up some courage and go into the shop tomorrow.

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 16:54

You will be pleased to know I've bought a new cover for my knackered old ironing board!
Couldn't really justify the cost of a new one (yet) so I shall be ironing away soon Mistress Tits.

Bella, can you get an upgrade on your phone at all?

Trill Very nice! Economical burlesquery. Sensible, yet hott!

bellavita · 13/02/2010 17:02

wasting, no upgrade - tis just a £40 quid pay as you go phone.

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 17:03

i texted back and told him i dont feel obliged to do anything because of my car (his mate is fixing it for me), its too cold for the zoo and i want a quite day on my own with finnbo, so its a no

was i too harsh? the man gets on my tits, he is like an interfering mil

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 17:09

Sounds fair enough Vinny.

Bella, how about getting a contract, about £45 and you can get the iphone included apparently.

BitOfFun · 13/02/2010 17:10

Good for you Vinny. He is a bit of a biddy, isn't he?

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 17:11

Well done Vinny, very clear and sensible.

VinegarTits · 13/02/2010 17:14

i went shopping before and they had lemoncello, i have never tasted it so i bought a bottle, have no idea why or what im supposed to do with it

it tastes nice though so i guess ill just drink it

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 17:14

Ooh, Bella shook her pompoms for me!

TrillianAstra · 13/02/2010 17:18

Drink it in small glasses Vinny, that's what I'd do. Possibly rather a lot of small glasses.

DP thinks he is/we are drinking too much. Not sure if cutting down applies to this weekend or not...

bellavita · 13/02/2010 17:18

Wasting - tbh, I don't top up the phone I have an awful lot - maybe £10 per month so I dont think that is enough to warrant paying for a contract.

Blimey, I have just joined WW Online, no wonder I haven't been losing weight, I have been giving myself 18 points which is what I got last time and online has given me 16 - I have only 6 left my lasagne

wastingaway · 13/02/2010 17:26

Cocktail Vin? A Yellow Fairy sounds nice :-

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz lemoncello
  • 1/4 oz absinthe
  • dash of aromatic bitters

Bella, with a contract the 'data' charges are included, so you could MN on it for no extra, wherever you are.
