Yank - that sounds like a very brave and grown up thing to do.

Vinny - i was your RL FBfriend, but i don't think i am anymore, did you have a cull?

Norma and Lizzy - the pink ones really are the best, they actually taste pink don't they? DD loves cake, and will always make sure both hands are full (biscuits, cakes, crisps, sweets)

I went to see a friend this afternoon and i went to the Co-op on the way. They have the loveliest date and walnut cake (practically healthy) yummy. Bloody starving again now though.

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 17:20

lol alice, yes i did have a cull

i didnt know who anyone was back then

bellavita · 12/02/2010 17:23

Yes Yank, good luck from me too.

I am going to join Weight Watchers online tomorrow.

Jacket potato with left over chilli from last night for mine and DH's tea. The boys are having pizza. Have just made a lasagne (with skimmed milk for the white sauce) for tomorrows tea - so am getting ahead of myself nicely.

We are taking DH's car to the Seat bodyshop tomorrow to get an estimate on how much it is going to cost for the paintwork to the passenger side

hellsbelles · 12/02/2010 17:29

Yank - good luck! It sounds like an important change and hopefully it'll work out for the best,

Alice it is of course very healthy....but I don't think I'm allowed it on South Beach.

Alicetheinvisible · 12/02/2010 17:31

Vinny - I did the same myself a while back. There is one woman on there who is from MN, but i have never 'met' (don't even know her MN name) her, i tried to delete her but she is still there posting inane shite

Lizzylou · 12/02/2010 17:32

Good for you, Yank.
You may find it easier to get another job, once you are back at work.
We're all here for you to rant to and even though you are not keen on your job, at least your worries re: money will be gone.

Alice, they do taste pink! I love date and walnut cake, mmmmmmmm.

wastingaway · 12/02/2010 17:32

Afternoon!

Yank, good luck. There's nothing to stop you looking for another job, and it's meant to be easier to get a new job if you already have one.

I'm having a naughty S day now.
I think this week my meals have been too large, so then you get a rebound of being starving and blood sugar swings etc. So after the weekend I will re-read the No S website and refocus.
I will get weighed shortly though, see how I'm doing anyway.

TrillianAstra · 12/02/2010 17:34

I have a chocolate egg. Can I eat it? I'm not hungry but it looks nice.

No, I won't. Nearly hometime anyway.

Alicetheinvisible · 12/02/2010 17:38

I think you can eat it if you really enjoy it Trills

bellavita · 12/02/2010 17:40

Trills, save it for after you get home and it will taste much even nicer!

YanknCock · 12/02/2010 17:42

Cheers ladies, I'm quite terrified if truth be told. And sad. Was thinking to myself earlier that I have been with DS for nearly every minute of his whole life, bar a few hours here and there. And now I have to hand him over to someone for 9 hours a day. I'm not worried about him, he's a cheerful little guy and will be quite happy. At least I've got some time to get used to the idea. Have to give 28 days notice, and then I've got annual leave accrued that I need to use, so I shouldn't have to actually be in work until early April (possibly a little later if they let me carry over all of my annual leave).

Am dreading meeting with my line manager though. I never thought I'd have to make nice with her. I didn't exactly burn bridges, but I might have eroded them a bit IYSWIM.

jetcat · 12/02/2010 17:48

awww, sounds like you have thought it through Yank - good luck, though i am sure you wont need it But dont forget us here I am still toying with the idea of going back to my old job, or to continue with the retraining to be an early years teacher. I have one more year left of OU degree, so i need to make my mind up by sep this year to apply or not for PGCE next year. Am sorting out volunteer work over the next couple of months to see if i can cop it check out which i feel is best suited, and then make my mind up - i hope!

Sorry to take away from your moment though

Shiney - your ex is a twunt

I could also scoff a couple of boxes of fondant fancies TW

Well, we made it to the Laing Art Gallery -as couldnt figure out how to get the Baltic and it was quite interesting - so junior has bought a print of one of her favourite paintings, and is trying to do an abstract of it She only started an hour ago, and is already on her third attempt and no end of tears as she says it is carp - and it isnt really, but will she listen to me

TrillianAstra · 12/02/2010 17:49

I think I'll leave it here in work for an emergency!

MyCatIsABastard · 12/02/2010 18:10

oo, I seem to be feeling a bit better. That'll be my healthy diet that's done that!

Yank, thats a tough decision to make and well done. I've just decided a similar thing. As I can earn a great deal more than DH we've decided that I will go back to work full time and he will leave his place to look after DC's and set up his online business. I still haven't heard about the job I interviewed for so am assuming it's a no go and have applied for 3 others today. It is hard leaving the DC but your DS will be fine and, like you say, it is all for the greater good of the whole family.

Trills, step away from the chocolate egg and lob it in the direction of the sick and needy (me )

BitOfFun · 12/02/2010 18:14

I'm perking up too now, but have to deal with dd2's bath etc now. Shall catch up later...

DreamsInBinary · 12/02/2010 18:40

Vinny, your pics are so funny - our ds's look quite similar, I think. I also have a pic of me at 8 months preggers in my profile folder and we're about the same size!

Alicetheinvisible · 12/02/2010 18:57

Damn those people who keep linking to this website. I have completely gone off Myla and AP but some of this stuff is gorgeous. Have a look under Angelic Weapons (it is not what you think )

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 19:27

Yank how awful for you, i worked for a boss who hated me once, it was an unbelievably stressful situation

make sure you keep looking for jobs in the meantime, something else is bound to come up soon

FlamingoBingo · 12/02/2010 19:37

Hi all

I'm going to be enormously selfish now - I've only skim-read the dissertation-length postings from today so just don't feel able to properly comment.

The bins issue is fine normally - we're pretty good with our recycling and food waste, but we can only manage 2 weeks, not three. We're in the process of asking for a bigger one.

The bank assure us we'll get all our money back, including any charges incurred if we go over our overdraft limit.

Mitts - thank you for your text. I've just written a big long post about my day, and why I didn't respond to your text, but it's very open and personal, so I'm going to put it on the FB page instead.

Sorry to be so self-absorbed. I am here for an hour or so now, so I shall now stop talking about myself and join in properly for a bit!

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 19:41

hello flam

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/02/2010 19:42

evening all

Toiugh decision Yank, but you have us to moan on at.

TW - my eyes watered when I read the weight of your baby.

All quiet here, DH was meant to be going out but plans have changed. Going to look at a riding school for Edie tomorrow, well I know it they have my old horse but just going to take her to see it, and then going to see my nephew as he is 18 tomorrow.

Mo

FlamingoBingo · 12/02/2010 19:46

Ooh! I am a RL FB friend of VTs already too!

And yes, she is very gorgeous!

Yank - don't envy you having to make a choice like that.

I lost weight when I was pregnant, but my babies were good sizes. I didn't look pregnant from behind, but as I turned round this ginormous bump would appear sticking right out infront of me

Goober · 12/02/2010 19:49

Howdy y'all.

I'm on Facebook if anybody wants to add me I am one of Vinigartits friends with the first name Gina.
