For those illing - get better soon!

Totally agree on the praise thing - I do make 100% that DS knows how I feel and he is a very happy little boy so I do believe there is nothing wrong with building up an inner reserve of confidence.

I did used to worry that it would make him a cocky bugger over confident but then I realised that
life attempts to knock it out of you enough and if you've got that sort of bubble of strength inside it can work wonders.

Lizzy - that Kate Moss comment was one which I sort of understood (in a non anorexic way!)....once I start feeling slimmer and fitting into lovely things it makes it easier to eat healthier and to avoid bingeing.

Sazz - but glad it worked out with your forgetful friend!

TrillianAstra · 12/02/2010 13:27

Vinny is very swishy. I imagine that in real life she flicks her head a lot and says 'because I'm worth it'.

travellingwilbury · 12/02/2010 13:45

Hello all

I hope all the sickly spuds feel better soon .

I know I am a page or two late but on the subject of humongous tummies I bet I win . I measured my tummy a couple of weeks before I had my second and I measured 52 inches round I was massive . He was however 12 pounds 11 and although I didn't get the home birth I was looking forward to I am eternally grateful for C sections . I would not have wanted to push him out .

Still no smoking

Cereal for b.fast and soup for lunch so all going ok on the food front too .

Had to have a b12 injection this morning and she grabbed me for my youngests pre school booster so on our way to do that in a min .

Wish me luck .

TrillianAstra · 12/02/2010 14:00

Wow Wilbury, that is one big baby!

hellsbelles · 12/02/2010 14:01

wow wilbury. Yes thank goodness for that c-section!!

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 14:08

omg i read that as 12 stone 11 then

12 pounds 11 still big, wow

Lizzylou · 12/02/2010 14:22

Bloody hell, Wilbury
DS2 was 10lb 11oz and it nearly killed me to carry him to term (and I'm a big strapping lass), 12lb 11oz !!!

NormaSknockers · 12/02/2010 14:23

12lbs 11oz

NormaSknockers · 12/02/2010 14:24

DH brought some French Fancys out to have with our cuppa & offered the box to DS who reached in & took one in each hand - that's my boy

Lizzylou · 12/02/2010 15:06

OK, think I have just sent a FB request to NA/Vinny. YOu are v pretty!

Norma, pink fondant fancies are my favourite, then yellow, not so fussed on choc ones.
Just so as you know

Where is Georgi? She's not been around for a while......

Have set up a train track for the boys so have at least 5mins peace......

travellingwilbury · 12/02/2010 15:53

fondant fancies

I could just scoff at least two of those now with a cuppa . But look what I have instead ? some exciting go ahead cardboardbiscuit

NormaSknockers · 12/02/2010 15:54

Lizzy none of us are keen on the chos ones either, I don't know anyone who likes them best actually!

This is spooky was just browsing a group I'm on, on FB & spotted a photo a lady has posted of her DS & DD whos names are the same as my two very spooky as they're not exactly the most common mix of names IYKWIM?

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 15:57

I have a big announcement....

ahem....

My social worker came to see me today and have talked it through with him and decided I have to go back to work at my old job. The SMP runs out this month, DH is in a panic about money, and he's got anxiety issues already as it is. I didn't want to go back there, I never thought I would. But it has to be done. Even if I got one of the jobs I've just applied for, it will take too long to get started and we will sink even further into debt. DH has made a lot of sacrifices, so I think it is my turn now.

So....just after he left I called HR to find out what needs to be done. This is hugely scary for me as my line manager hates me and I hated the job. Was only there a few months before going off sick (hyperemesis, SPD, antenatal depression) and then on maternity leave. The HR lady was actually very nice and has only just come back from mat leave herself so was very sympathetic.

Anyway, I feel like I am doing what I have to do for my little family, but it is going to be stressful....so wanted to warn you all!

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 12/02/2010 17:09

just about to go catch up. not read anything but Trill- your comment caught my eye. Yes i found the shot EVIL - made me psycho, killed my sex drive. was definetly not good for me. They dont generally recommend it to most people now. If your dp starts complaining about you or you lose interest. DROP IT ASAP DONT GET ANOTHER SHOT!!!!!!!!

TrillianAstra · 12/02/2010 17:16

OK DEM, chill

DP is on the lookout for mood swings, and he's familiar enough himself with drug-based mood changes (luckily for him they were the sort that make you better, not worse).

Good luck Yank.
