I'm not sure that photo is good enough to judge by BoF.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/02/2010 23:46

My spice shelf is the highest shelf - I have decanted spices (which I buy from Indian grover so they come in little bags) into glass jars .

DD knocked the poppy seeds over a couple of weeks ago - the glass exploded and flung poppy seeds to the 4 corners of the earth. Am still finding them all over the place now!

I like making own curries as they can be v healyhy, however start adding cocpnut milk and all bets are off.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 23:49

Mmm yes coconut milk.

I have a recipe for a loooovely curry that's very fat and full of almonds - not healthy at all.

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 23:50

I'll have to have a re-read of that thread. It was hilarious!

My Dad currently has Sean Connery as his facebook profile pic. I don't think I look like Sean Connery's daughter.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/02/2010 23:52

Best curry I make from a healthy POV is vindaloo (doesn't necessarily need to be insane hot, you can adjust the amount of chilli) - but it has no coconut, almonds or other usual suspects, and has quite a bit of cider vinegar which has good slimmmg properties (apparently).

YanknCock · 07/02/2010 00:04

Can't believe it, DS went to sleep after about 10 minutes of screaming. It seemed like an eternity and I feel so guilty.

I have the small corner cupboard devoted to spices/baking stuff. I got a couple of Rubbermaid two-tiered lazy susans on ebay from the U.S. so I can get at everything. They are fab for little useless corner cupboards!

Previously I had spice jars from Ikea that I decorated with puffy paint. Bloody XH got those by default. This is why, when you separate, you should make him move out. Lost all my accumulated gardening stuff too, v annoying. It was enough like starting over when I moved to the UK without having to do it again after five years!

wastingaway · 07/02/2010 00:06

I need to learn how to make curry.

I've only tried once, and foolishly used Delia's recipe for leftover chicken curry.
Truly vile.

I'm off to bed now ladies.

Night-night.

TrillianAstra · 07/02/2010 00:40

New thread in the morning methinks.

FlamingoBingo · 07/02/2010 08:42

Good morning girls.

I can't run, my knees are hurting Every bloody time I get the motivation to run something gets in the way . Starting a course of ibuprofen today, and then will just do wii fit until the weather warms up. I think it's running in the cold that's buggered them up.

I have, however, identified one of my issues with food - I eat faster than anyone else so I finishe my supper sooner, and then get bored, in a 'nothing to do with my hands' kind of way so give myself more to eat and/or pick at left overs . Ideally I'd just come and play ont he computer but that's just a little bit rude, and would drive DH mad. he suggests getting me a puzzle book to do when I've finished. When the girls are older, maybe I'll do quizzes and things - I used to love family dinnertime quizzes as a child.

Mitts - hope you're feeling happier today.

Alicetheinvisible · 07/02/2010 09:30

Morning

FB - you shouldn't put more food on your fork until you have swallowed the food in your mouth. (will take my own advice one day )

I really hope i don't turn out like my mother. Unlikely really as i don't smoke or do drugs, and i moisturise and brush my teeth

Breakfast - ReadyBrek with banana and honey and glass of chocolate Nesquik (no, i am not 5!)

Lots i should do today, but still in my pyjamas, oh well, have a good day everyone

Am hoping the boys will eat it rare......

Off to clean and tidy this cess pit of a house.

wastingaway · 07/02/2010 10:17

Morning!

Make a note Vin, I'm sure we'll need a new thread title soon enough.

Good luck with the christening Norma.

Woke up to DS covered in poop, so he's had a bath. Seems to be getting worse rather than better, but he doesn't seem unwell in himself.

NormaSknockers · 07/02/2010 10:19

Dinner sounds lovely Lizzy - can I come?

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 07/02/2010 10:21

MyCatIsABastard · 07/02/2010 10:43

GOod MOrning One and All!

I have lost 1lb this last week so a total of 4lb over the last 2 weeks. So not so bad.

Didn't come on last night or yesterday as was sodding exhausted having had 4hrs sleep on Friday courtesy of DS. I have not got touch and left him to cry and it took a while mins but he slept really well last night and we are all feeling a lot better.

Will go and catch up on thread now.

MyCatIsABastard · 07/02/2010 11:19

Right, here's my catch up

jet - hope your having a lovely child free weekend (wish I could have one!)

Alice - hope sickness has gone for you. Worst part of pregnancy until the end (when feeling like a bus takes over).

Yank - Hope DS sleeps better for you soon. I am having my own DS sleep related challenges at the moment, although he has been a lot better since I left him to yell about it. You do all you can then you realise that basically they are having a shout (still feel guilty though). DS is nearly 12 months though, like you I couldn't have left him at 5.5 mths
I did a similar thing with DS that shiney did though, as a baby and that worked too. He's just going through a phase (aren't they all) atm

Sazz - hope you had fun on our night away

I am a supermarket slut. I'll go anywhere that is convenient and cheap. Having said that, not a massive fan of Morrisons (bloody miserable cows work in our local one which really puts me off) and I get annoyed at Tesco saying they are cheap when they are not. My fave is Sainsbury's really. Aren't you all riveted with that piece of information on MyCat!

FB - one of the ways to lose weight is to eat more slowly as it sends messages to your stomache that you are full and you don't eat so much.

MyCatIsABastard · 07/02/2010 11:27

Sazz - meant fun on your night away. Not our night away. Don't want people talking!
