Bloody hell, BoF! There were 45 thousand people at that match

Does your Mum look like you, by any chance?!

DreamsInBinary · 06/02/2010 20:53

Sounds like it LL

As a nation we are abysmal at dealing with both winning and losing at rugby

BitOfFun · 06/02/2010 20:54

DP says not really

I am going to try and catch Match Of The Day in case I see it, but my dad will record it tomorrow on the LFC channel, so I won't miss it. Fame at last!

Lizzylou · 06/02/2010 20:55

Have to say though DIB, have met a few really rather lovely Welsh men..........
I would have lived in Cardiff given the chance, was a bit of a sliding doors moment, cos then I met DH.......
Cardiff is FAB

Lizzylou · 06/02/2010 20:57

BOF, so are your parents reds or blues?
Wow, out of all of those people????

VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 20:57

Alice i am recording chitty chitty bang bang

DreamsInBinary · 06/02/2010 20:59

Cardiff is rather fab

Although, had I not met DH, I would be back in Manchester.

VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 20:59

Who won bof? i didnt even bother to find out the score

BitOfFun · 06/02/2010 21:02

We won 1-0, Vinny.

Reds, of course!

My dad has been to practically every home game since 1936 . He grew up in a street next to the ground. First time he's got on telly though

DreamsInBinary · 06/02/2010 21:02

Oooh, I like Cat Deeley's dress on that dance program. Now, if only I could grow five inches taller and lose two stone by June...

BitOfFun · 06/02/2010 21:03

Oh, and DP is a Blue. We can never marry- it would be illegal

VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 21:04

oh there wil be a lot of bitter blues walking the streets tonight. Glad the reds won, i dont follow football, but support the reds over the blues

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 22:05

Bloody rugby. Not that I understand or even watch it. But... bloody rugby.

Think Mum and Dad were Blues when they lived in Liverpool. Not that they ever followed football, but I guess you have to choose.

I'd quite like to visit Cardiff. I've only ever been to North Wales.

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 22:14

I love Independence Day. And Dick Van Dyke.

We're watching Dead Man's Shoes again. It's very good, but rather bleak.

YanknCock · 06/02/2010 22:59

We're having another screamy evening here. At least DH and I are not rowing about it. This has been going on for more than two hours.

I have just turned off the monitor. Ahhhh.....that's better.

No, I can still hear him.

He is fed, he is dry, DH has played guitar for him for an hour, I've cuddled him for hours, and am struggling not to be really frustrated. WTF does he want? No stupid, question, I know what he wants. He wants to fall asleep on my boob and me to hold him while he sleeps.

I have this image of BOF opening up a drawer of spare sets of tits for some reason.

For CDWM, I will make a fancy cock pie.

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 23:03

I will make carrot cupcakes with orange cream cheese icing. They're very yummy.

No Alan Hansen tonight, I was going to check him out.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 23:06

I love Independence Day too!

BoF - DP says my mum is pretty so it's a good indicator of how I'll look in 20 yrs time. Do you think your mum looks like you? Maybe she looks like how you look, but not lik ehow your DP sees you

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/02/2010 23:28

Hello everyone. Bless you all for talking about football and rugby. I would join in but I haven't a clue what you're on about!

Had lovely Keralan curry last night, but it seemed to unleash a monster within me as went to Sainsbirys this morning and had a mega brunch and A slice of lemon meringue pie. Poussin and sweet potato for dinner. So that's about 8000 cals then.

I have signed up at gym to do a trathlon - 25 lengths, 20 kms on execerise bike, 5 km run. In 2 weeks time. I have to get fir somehow as am also doin the Three Peaks Challenge in June. Jesus wept.

Ooh could just watch Independence Day, I love crappy action films, such as Deep Impact, Armageddon, Twsiter and the like. Am sat here at the mo watching Godfather Part 2 - it is such a fantastic, chilling film. Doesn't finish til 1 o clock though. Have got it on DVD so god only knows why I feel compelled to stay up.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 23:33

Wow, good luck GetOrf. I could do the first 2 bits of the triathlon (not fast, but could do them) but the 5k run would kill me.

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 23:36

Hello Getorf.

Well done for signing up for the triathlon and three peaks! That's the kind of attitude we need around here.

Was it you who posted about your spice collection on the smug thread last year?

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/02/2010 23:39

The 5k run will kill me. I will run for the first km, jog for the second, and then cry for the remaining 3!

NO wasting it wasn't me about the spices on the smug thread, but I did post how jealous I was about them. I have since bought a coffee grinder which I use to grind toasted spices and make my own garam masala. I have a whole dedicated spice section in my cupboard.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 23:40

Oooh, was it? I have so much of that spice collection.

BitOfFun · 06/02/2010 23:40

I read out GetOrf's post to DP. He said "Three pizza challenge? I could do that!"

I don't really look like my mum or dad, I don't think. They are both on my facebook profile- you be the judge, but I am a different creature entirely, I think. Funny though, because I can totally see my brother and my dd2 in them.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 23:42

A runner after my own heart

I have a spice area in a cupboard, but it is a mess and full of jars from Tesco and packets from the ethnicy shops and I just have to feel around and grab everything to find anything.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/02/2010 23:43

I reread that smug thread a couple of weeks ago (when the best threads on MN thread was going on) and it was hilarious - loads of posts about how envious they were of the spice woman, and a great big row where one random woman was having a go at everyone for being smug.

Ooh yes three pizza challenge, yes please (let's be frank - aint much of a challenge really) - a trip to Pizza Express and a Veneziana, American Hot and Four Seasons wil go down a treat.
