Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. Not been avoiding you but trying to get my head around interview and job stuff for Thursday.

I'll try and catch up on the thread later tonight.

I have lost 3lb in my first week on WW online, not the 4 I had lost on Friday though because one night out on the lash and I put on about 3lb .

Catch you all later.

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 20:08

Norma, Alice, hope you're both OK.

Am slightly disconcerted by the firmness of Shiney's declaration that I "need" Estee Lauder Lucidity foundation. There's no arguing, she's seen photos so I am going to meekly do as the wonderous leader tells me.

Do not give in to the week 3 collywobbles. I had those, they pass, you carry on losing. Or at least not gaining, which has got to be a good thing, right?

Lizzy, did you kick your husband up the arse have a chat about the division of labour yet?

Jac, hope your radio silence means the essay is going well.

Well done Bastard!!

(sorry, too tempting)

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 01/02/2010 20:14

Thanks all

Blimey DEM how do you do it? Sounds knackering

Lizzylou · 01/02/2010 20:35

Georgi, yes we have had a chat, he knows that if he doesn't pull his weight then I am on strike.

Mmmmm Chorizo, my sushi for dinner was lovely, hardly authentic as it was Tescos, but hey, not so many Sushi bars in East Lancs
Well done on the loss Mycat, don't fret about your interview, bet you'll be fab.

Jet, I would wait and see how your ribs and arms are before you swim, you could set yourself back, well done on the cycling, 40mins is fab.

bellavita · 01/02/2010 20:36

Hello DEM >

MyCat - well done you -good luck for Thursday.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/02/2010 20:42

Lizzy - National Geographic do a kids website.

Georgimama · 01/02/2010 20:45

What did it with DH was when I told him a few months ago that I was simply not prepared to start trying again for a second child if I was going to continue to work full time and be a full time housekeeper - and I had no intention of giving up work. I told him quite catagorically that trying to be wonder fucking woman would make me ill - I was at breaking point as it was. Things are much better now.

I hope your DH pulls his finger out. Follow through with the threatened strike if he doesn't.

Am feeling slightly today as today should have been the due date of the baby I lost in June. One of my lush colleagues put a bunch of flowers in my room this morning before I got in. DH seems to have forgotten .

traceybath · 01/02/2010 20:45

Norma - good luck for tomorrow. Are you seeing a consultant as well?

When I had a dodgy lump a few years back I saw the consultant and then had an utltrasound scan - apparently better as I was early 30's then. Anyway the consultant examined me and was pretty happy straight away that it was nothing serious - scan then confirmed that.

So fingers crossed you get a good result/reassurance tomorrow. It was incredibly worrying though and I spent the 2 weeks between seeing my GP and seeing consultant a weepy mess.

DreamsInBinary · 01/02/2010 20:46

Oh Georgi, how awful.

Perhaps it will all get a bit easier from tomorrow onwards?

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2010 20:48

Well done on the cycling Jet, and I'm glad you've finally got heating. It's chilly tonight!

Good luck Norma.

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 20:48

tracey - I don't know, the letter I have is from the Rapid Response Breast Clinic but I have an appt before having the tests from the looks of things so maybe I'll see one then? I've been holding it together most of the time, generally only freaking when I had the time but tonight I'm a realy crying wreck & keep burting into tears (Sorry guys, not meaning to drag the thread down)

DreamsInBinary · 01/02/2010 20:49

As for DH - I find men often don't attach much importance to dates. Would have been a relief not to have the do I/don't I remind him question, though.

DreamsInBinary · 01/02/2010 20:50

Norma - am horrified that I missed your thread. Best of luck, and I will keep everything crossed for you tomorrow.

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 20:50

Georgi I'm so sorry, what a sweet colleague you have there, I'm sure DH doesn't mean to have forgotten if he's anything like my DH he's just shit with dates.

Georgimama · 01/02/2010 20:52

Don't worry Norms, I'm doing my level best to drag the thread down already. Tomorrow you start getting some answers and scary as that feels it is a good thing - whatever you are dealing with (and I bet it is absolutely nothing to worry about) knowledge is power. And we are here. And you are allowed to cry if you want to. The first thing 99% of people say when they see someone crying is "don't cry". Why not? If I'm crying it's because that feels like the best response to whatever is going on.

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 20:54

Thank you Georgi wise words there indeed And you're not bringing the thread down, just sorry DH hasn't remembered

Georgimama · 01/02/2010 20:55

DH is utterly shit with dates, he really is. And to be fair I haven't mentioned it to him (I hadn't mentioned it to the lush colleague either, she must have remembered) and he might have remembered but be thinking he doesn't want to remind me if I have apparently forgotten (as if).

That's quite a big might though.
