Oh Norma . Hope it's not too horrible and everything turns out to be fine.

hellsbelles · 01/02/2010 18:54

Wow - totally sorted now on ideas for the party - thank you all.

Norma - thank goodness the time is here and you'll have got it over and done with soon. I know the waiting has been hellish for you. I'll be thinking of you all day and willing it to go well.

Tracey - you know me too well

Chicken stir fry for me tonight...washed down with some white wine

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 19:02

Thanks girls, I have a small bag of Maltesers stashed away ready for when I get home tomorrow. DH has managed to change his shift a little so that he can come with me, at least it's early in the day too so I don't have to wait around all day!

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 01/02/2010 19:04

NormaSknockers - you have your own thread in active convos

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 19:06

Lizzylou · 01/02/2010 19:11

Norma! I am so sorry, how did I miss this?
Best of luck for tomorrow and I am another one who will be thinking of you all day

Flam, they are almost 4 and almost 6, we just had space themed bedtime stories (Aliens love underpants was the fave), I just feel that I don't do enough with them sometimes, actually most of the time. Plus, sometimes they ask me questions and I honestly have no idea of the answers, was hoping I could learn something too.

bellavita · 01/02/2010 19:15

Norma- how did I miss that

You poor darling. I will keep my fingers tightly crossed for you that everyything is going to be alright. >

bellavita · 01/02/2010 19:17

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 19:18

bellavita · 01/02/2010 19:34

We spent a year together (and others too) on a Seccondary Yr7 thread when our DS's started "big school" and we now post infrequently on a Yr8 thread.

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2010 19:36

MMm, roasted veg and chorizo for dinner. Everything is better with chorizo.

hellsbelles · 01/02/2010 19:42

chorizo - why do I keep forgetting about it? Thank you Trills. I love chorizo and hallumi (sp?) fried up together...so delicious (and of course so healthy )

jetcatisfrozen · 01/02/2010 19:51

all sorted now will have to ring bank yet again tomorrow, but at least we have heat

Norma - will keep fingers and toes def crossed for you tomorrow x

Shiney - please dont give up! You have done so well in two weeks but i know what you mean about losing heart. Just keep telling yourself how fab you will feel when you do lose a stone

I am doing well so far re exercise. Just upped exercise bike to 40 mins, and have done it each day since weigh in. Am so determined to get to an hour (increasing pace gradually so as to not kill myself) within the week. (i know it is not a patch on you runners amongst us, but hey, its a start)

A quick question - after my fall last week, my ribs are still really sore - checked with nurse, got more painkillers and to go back in a week if no better. But, i really wanted to go swimming this week - would swimming aggrivate it do you think, or would it help?? I do have quite a bit of pain on extending my right arm, and cant really twist to the side etc, but think maybe gentle exercise would help? (i forgot to ask the nurse)

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 19:57

Well done on the exercise bike Jet that's fab, building the pace gradually is a very good idea too. Re the ribs/swimming I'm not sure, I guess if you kept it simple & just sort of floated around it would be ok?

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 19:58

Oh & thank you
