Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

iggi, congratulations! Hope the wedding dress works ok. I got married at 8 weeks pregnant, nothing had changed other than boobs being a bit bigger, but I didn't have a corset (not that a corset could contain my ample frame on the best of days!)

Mitts, looks like a lovely cut.

DIB, will have a look at the food focus thingy.

Fanny, I was seriously considering an A&E visit with DS, had never seen him like that! Good to know I'm not the only one. Very sad to hear about your priest, was he elderly?

Poledra, that reflexology thing sounds ace, will have to google it and see if I can find a diagram or something for the next time!

MyCat, if I haven't said it before, you are my WW inspiration!

Sazzles, I should be able to do lunch in Manchester next Thurs. I will put it on my calendar, just tell me what time and where! (I don't go there much so probably not best to help with suggesting a place)

Trill, don't worry, we won't kick you out for not trying to have a baby. But check your contraception carefully, it seems to be catching.

wasting, hope it's all sorted soon.

hells, well done!!! I must try harder.

I am gradually working in some FlyLady stuff to get control of my house, however I set the timer so I'd only MN for 15 minutes, then reset it for another 15 because I hadn't finished reading/writing on this thread

Asbestos test result today....everyone send vibes for a positive so I get a new ceiling, and potentially a new kitchen!

Lizzylou · 15/01/2010 10:00

Hope you're warmer soon, Wasting.

Am hoping that this is the end of the snow and ice, Fanny, it's only been here for 4 bloody weeks!

Better do some work (after a coffee ).

Meant to say, Mitts you do sound chilled and happy, good for you, it is lovely to read

mamazon · 15/01/2010 10:04

hello all.
just noticed the new thread.

Not sure what to have for dinner tonight. any thoughts?

I don't do weigh in's cos A) im too fat for my scales and B) i don't care how much i weigh, i just want to look slimmer.see my fanjo without having to lift my belly out the way first

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 10:07

Yank - he was 62, very fit apart from falling over and hurting his shoulder, hence the pinning, sadly he was also an only child and leaves a very elderly and frail mother. DD still talks about her hospital visit and wants to go back to see Dr Clare, I felt very silly but was reassured that it happens often.

TrillianAstra · 15/01/2010 10:09

Morning all.

I thought that Fanny had 3 DCs (so there were 5 of you going mad in Dorset)

Poledra · 15/01/2010 10:10

Yank, have just found the place I described the reflexology thing before, so have C'n'P here.

Lie the baby down on its back, feet closest to you. Hold a foot with the heel in the palm of your hand, (I used to have their ankle in between my middle and ring fingers) then firmly rub your thumb from the heel up the instep to the ball of the foot. Do this for a few minutes (I used to do both feet at the same time, one in each hand). HTH - at worst, your baby's had a lovely foot massage, at best, you'll be cleaning poo from ankles to neck

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 10:12

Nooo, there is me, DH, DD, DS and the dog which adds up to Five.

wastingaway · 15/01/2010 10:13

I was going to say, wasn't one of the famous five a dog.

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 10:17

Morning, just had my Friday morning bacon butty, i wasnt going to bother, but my very kind collegue went ahead and ordered for me as i was late in

He even remembered my special order of a wholemeal role, with no butter and brown sauce

I love going to Ikea, they have such wonderful space saving ideas and bright colours, i used to have a big car which i could get loads of stuff in

Then when i go my mini, i forgot and bought loads of stuff, then got to the car and though, fuck, where is it going to fit

TrillianAstra · 15/01/2010 10:24

"at best, you'll be cleaning poo from ankles to neck"

It's a strange world where that's the thing you're hoping for

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 10:25

Hiya ladies

Weather is hellish here today, gale force winds and driving rain.

Well done Hells on the 6lbs! Woop, woop! That is bloody brilliant

Sorry to hear about your priest 5gomad

Trills - I dreamt about you last night lady! You were thinking about moving into a flat in Windsor next door to one that DH and I used to live in. We were taking you on the bus to see it and I was telling you about some shopping centre that was next door.....in real life there is no shopping centre but in the dream there was.....weird.

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 10:29

Just got my second Graze box (free because the last one was delayed) so i am now tucking into Greek green Olives in citurs marinade, yoghurt peanuts, black pepper cahsews and apple strudel

My god it is delicious, i could get addicted to ordering these!

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 10:30

Hells 6lbs that bloody fab!

Aw Fanny, poor priest

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 10:33

The total cals in my graze box is 727

oh well, i need the energy in this cold weather

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 10:38

That's quite a lot of calories VT but I suppose it is healthy calories rather than junk food or 'bad fat' calories.

I really need to try one of these graze boxes, they sound lovely!

bellavita · 15/01/2010 10:40

Mmm bacon butty >

I am waiting till the bell goes at 10.45 so I can eat my banana! I have a yr8 helper every period so I will wait till it is break time and eat it in peace.

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 10:49

Squeezy use this code 9KYNMYZY and get your first box free and next box half price (and i get a £1 off too)

I will cancel when i have to pay full price for them, they are very very nice, and cute, come in a lvoely box with little sections and a little bamboo stick to eat with, my collegues are all jealous

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 10:54

poor priest FAnny - so sorry.

Thanks for the congratulations ladies. IT makes it rather more special being able to mention it on here (my RL friends probably aren't that bothered about weight stuff!)

Yank - sending aesbestos vibes your way (now that is a sentance I NEVER thought I'd write)

Vinny - what is this graze box - have I missed something. It sounds gorgeous.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 10:55

I can't get that code to work VT. When I enter it, the little promo code box just stays on the screen....maybe the code has expired or something?

TrillianAstra · 15/01/2010 10:57

Do you have the nibble or the fruit box Vinny? I'll use your code...

TrillianAstra · 15/01/2010 10:58

Have you mistyped the code? It's not working for me either...

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 15/01/2010 10:58

MOrning everyone. I see lots has gone on.

Hells - bloody well done! You are inspiring me to get my backside into gear!

VT - Bacon sarnie sounds so nice I want one now. I did have 2 poached eggs on toast for breakfast, which was nice, but a bit of bacon would have topped it off lovely!

Five - great news about your DD again (wish I could say the same for DS last night! We'll get there I suppose). V sad about the priest. A bit of a shock.

Trills - when you have kids you are opened up to a whole new word of hope - hope they are only sick once, hope they don't scream too long, hope they don't wreck the shop, hope they don't wake up too early so you can have a hangover in peace etc etc... it's fun fun fun all the way .

Right, I really should be working (so I'll probably be back in a couple of mins )

Sazz - when are you around in the week? Be nice to meet up again soon

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 15/01/2010 10:59

Ooh yes - Yank - here's wishing for asbestos

wastingaway · 15/01/2010 11:03

They do sound lovely Vinny. Snack-free zone here though.

Plumber has arrived!!!
