Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

Afternoon ladies!

Well done on the loss Yank!

Lovely day here today for a change.

Am annoyed today, got a letter from TalkTalk who have taken over Tiscali......telling us not to worry as they are changing us over to their new service which will be £10 a month dearer for exactly the same package!!! How nice of them huh?

And it's legal for them to do that! The upside is that we can leave the contract without penalty since it them who are changing the T&Cs....however it is a major pain in the ass as our line is with TalkTalk/Tiscali so we'd have to move that too. Might go back to BT on principal, at least their customer service is marginally better than TT.....Grrrr!

And I hate calling call centres....moan, moan, moan....it seems tonnes of people have had this letter so it's a 30 minute wait to even discuss it with them.....moan, moan, moan.....

Shall be back later when in a better mood

iggi999 · 18/01/2010 13:16

That sounds stupid of TalkTalk, they must know people will leave them in droves. Maybe they make so much money on the phonecalls (when you're in the queue) that they don't mind!
Reading all your weightloss stories making me feel worse about the packet of skittles and discos I have just eaten.

wastingaway · 18/01/2010 13:28

Well done Yank!

DH has been hopping on the WiiFit board for weigh-in Fridays too. He's aiming to get back under 12 stone. His hipbones have re-emerged too. It's since we got rid of the car, he's getting daily exercise now. That simple.

VinegarTits · 18/01/2010 13:45

this is one of those 'i've had too many lempsip's' moments

hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 14:00

Lol at Shiney & Bella's --shameless- recruiting over in AIBU. They are pros.

hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 14:02

Vinny - that is a classic - cheered me up!

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 18/01/2010 14:06

Vinny- that was a fab break in the mountain of discovery that i am trying to climb in order to discover my house. 3 hours of ironing done and awaiting putting away. Which will be done when i have remade the beds now that the matresses have been aired. just need to hover and make the bed. no wonder i never get round to this. forgotten how much of a faff it is.

bellavita · 18/01/2010 14:16

at Vinny - you are a one!

VinegarTits · 18/01/2010 15:21

I want someone to drive me home, run me a bath, put tea on, look after my ds2 and put me to bed

Lizzylou · 18/01/2010 15:38

Aww Vinny, you still not feeling good? Hope you feel better

I am with you, feel all achey and have a bad stomach ache (no reason for it iyswim), just want to go to bed, but boys are being feral and DH will be late as he was in London today.

Yank, well done on your loss, it is fab that you are already weighing less than you were pre-pg, that is amazing

bellavita · 18/01/2010 15:48

Sorry you are still not feeling well Vinny . Is there any chance tht DS1 could get DS2 ready for bed tonight?

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 18/01/2010 15:52

Ds1 has college tonight

i am just feeling sorry for myslef

why does the word 'turd' make me ? it has cheered me up a bit anyway

Lizzylou · 18/01/2010 15:59

I always laugh at "gusset", it does make me snigger.

I don't know what is up with my boys, they are bouncing off the walls.

Actually I do know, it has rained all day, so DS1 won't have played outside at school.

Vinny, hope you feel better.

TURD!

bellavita · 18/01/2010 16:02

"moist" makes me snigger.

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 16:03

I love turds - in fact our family nickname for one db was 'turdo' not sure why (we had a very lavatorial sense of humour in the family though)

Vinny - would you like me to call you Turdo too?

Gusset is good too...very 1950's smut

VinegarTits · 18/01/2010 16:04

how about 'moist gusset'?

i like the word 'Arse'

hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 16:05

Arse - send in a strong accent (of any origin) is indeed good.

VinegarTits · 18/01/2010 16:06

No thanks Hells, i snigger at turd but i dont want to be call it

hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 16:07

pity my poor DB...he is still known as Turdo at 28

Lizzylou · 18/01/2010 16:13

Moist Gusset, excellent

Also love Jezebel, Harlot and Bollocks.

For some reason really dislike the word "fart"

Poledra · 18/01/2010 16:17

'Trollop' is without doubt one of my favourites.

Usually yelled at the telly while watching some tripe educated drama, much to DH's amusement.

Lizzylou · 18/01/2010 16:24

OOh yes, Trollop is fab

I like the word Felch as well.......

hellsbelles · 18/01/2010 16:36

trollop is great. As is Felch - waht does it actually mean?

When were little, in an effort to stop us from calling each other horrid names my father let us choose slightly less derogatory terms from an old book he had....and we were allowed to use those instead

My brother chose 'buffing trot face' for me (which is some sort of old hag who farts a lot (sorry lizzy) ). Nothing I could find for him quite compared

Lizzylou · 18/01/2010 16:59

Hells
Felching

You will see why I say I just like the word now!

wastingaway · 18/01/2010 17:06

Eww! I think I knew what that meant, but had blocked it from my mind.
