Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

who the hell is dontP - are they a previous shiney cult member? have i bumped into them before? Am i just going mad?

Urm dont take offence dontp - am a bit sweary and to point at mo. tis just me sometimes. i lapse with goodness and slide into the murky depths of having hung out with blokes too much.

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 22:13

She's a regular DEM.

NormaSknockers · 16/01/2010 22:14

Bella I frequently do, it's to nice to waste on toast most of the time!

Night Mitts, hope you feel better in the morning

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 16/01/2010 22:19

NormaSknockers · 16/01/2010 22:24

I'm off to bed all, nighty night don't stay up to late drinking at the bar, eating Nutella from the jar or munching on Jelly Tots

ItWasntTheBigBang · 16/01/2010 22:26

runs in, spins, runs out.

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 22:28

bella, I definitely think 13 is old enough to make own dinner, even a full blown dinner! At that age I was responsible for starting dinner nearly every single weeknight so my mom could get a jump on it when she got home from work. Sometimes it was just popping something in the oven, sometimes it was frying up mince and chopping stuff for tacos. And I was looking after my younger brother after school as well. When he got older he did the same, and he's actually a very good cook now, much better than me! He and his wife grow loads of veggies and have a blog about the recipes they make from them. So do NOT feel guilty about getting them to do their own

Norma, yay for your 10%!

wasting, we were watching Spinal Tap not that long ago....11 is like one louder!

Shiney you can save up to 4 points a day, but no more than that.

DS finally pooed but it stunk very badly and of course I had to change him because it made DH feel 'bilious'.

I will take my lumpy fanjo off to the doctor next week. The part I dread is ringing up because they always ask you 'What's the problem?' and I'm never sure how detailed to be in cases like this. 'My labia feels like a Klingon's nose'--TMI perhaps? Too geeky?

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 22:30

Yank!

bellavita · 16/01/2010 22:36

Yank - tell them to mind their own business and you will discuss it with the dr not the receptionist! Good on little Yank though for pooing.

I saw your virtual slap Shiney. She didn't mention it did she... but someone else said they had to be careful as people were getting twitchy

Mitts, hope you feel better tomorrow.

DS1 eventually got off his backside and made a bacon buttie although when trying to butter the bread he told me he was rubbish at it (he was lumping it all on the bed instread of scraping it on so I asked if he wanted me to show him and he said yes)

I too am going to bed soon.

Yank

When I call the doc...well, we have this stuffy nosed receptonist who acts like you are inconveniencing her just by calling for an appointment....she always says "what is it that's wrong then?" in an accusing manner and I say "I shall share that with the doctor when I see him thanks very much".....grrr.

Watched Bourne Supremacy, was brill. Matt Damon is gorgeous, all square jawed and pumped

Hope you feel better in the morning Mitts

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 22:52

Yeah, I saw that comment too and the virtual slap

as I got in trouble last time.

Anyone fancying isketch? The Shiney Room

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 22:57

Am changing it to Mumsnet on isketch to do a general invite on chat cos I think everyone's off to bed

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 22:59

I was gonna try it Squeezy, but had to install shockwave first and taking ages. I hate my laptop.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 23:00

If you get on Yank, it's the Mumsnet room

BitOfFun · 16/01/2010 23:43

OMG- I have been away ALL DAY! A first for me...

I have out up pics of the new dd2-proof room we've been working on. It's not quite finished- I need to put the drawers in the tall table (just forgot when I photographed it) and touch up some paintwork round the window frame, but it's pretty much there. Have got some funky little alien nightlights made of rubber which she can chuck around to her heart's content. I even had a go at painting a picture myself for the wall, and did the little table too. Come and see!

Right, will catch up with thread now...a full bloody day- blimey!

DreamsInBinary · 16/01/2010 23:49

Come join iSketch!

YanknCock · 17/01/2010 00:46

many thanks to Squeezy for introducing me to isketch.....fun...and I can draw knobs to represent concepts like 'passion'.

BitOfFun · 17/01/2010 00:51

It's good, eh?

Come and fawn on my room thread in chat- I need to be encouraged to be productive more often!

YanknCock · 17/01/2010 01:04

I'd actually gone to find the thread and admire the room before you said anything!

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 02:27

Tis a beautiful room BoF - it looks like it was designed ot be a beautiful room, it doesn't look at all like its primary prupose was to be smash-proof.

Georgimama · 17/01/2010 06:28

Gah.

Must.

Not.

Drink.

Wine.

Does not mix with nearly 3 year old who gets up at 5am.

Georgimama · 17/01/2010 07:42

And now DS has had explosive diarrhoea all over the playroom carpet, his beanbag, and himself.

The god of wine is a vengeful god indeed. I might vom.

FlamingoBingo · 17/01/2010 07:47

Oh Georgi Poor you and your poor DS.

Ok, another day when I won't be on here much! Life just doesn't work when I'm online in the day

And I would have loved to play isketch. Can someone text me when you're next playing?

Georgimama · 17/01/2010 07:52

No, I am the same, I only seem to get MN early in the morning and no one is about.

BOF your new room looks amazing.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/01/2010 08:44

Morning all.

Georgie - not a good start to the day.

We have friends again for lunch, you never know we might get invited back one of these days. So we are having slow roasted pork belly with chicory, butter bean and apple mash, mash potatoes, savoy cabbage with bacon, carrots and peas. Followed by apple pie, cheese and bisuits. I will not be pointing this today
