Morning all
Yesterday was difficult due to Saturday's rum consumption, have remembered why I don't normally touch the stuff.

HOpe all are OK, off to catch up and get boys to school. IN the bloody snow, again.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 11/01/2010 07:53

Good morning

Have been up since yon time, catching up on last nights troll action.

Am going to be good today. Toast for breakfast and soup for lunch.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 11/01/2010 07:54

Lizzy.

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 08:27

squeezy - linky link please (to trollery)? I have to put DD to bed soon and need some light relief. Also where's this 5 most interesting things thread?

at BOF/shiney penetration mishap and even more bof that you checked the call log to save DP's blushes.

DS's birthday so had to selflessly make him pancakes (with chocolate spread) while I had eggs and baked ham. I think I"m starting to look like an egg.

TrillianAstra · 11/01/2010 08:30

The call log sounds reasonable - and you got breakfast!

Brrr, forgot to change timing on heating from weekend times to weekday times (no point it coming on at 7 on the weekend) so it's chilly here. Am 1/4 of a pound heavier than last Monday. My scales are scary accurate.

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 08:34

oh I didn't realise the timings included breakfast ahem

bellavita · 11/01/2010 08:56

Hello my lovelies

Had ww bread toasted with marmite on and I am on my second cup of coffee. Will take a roast beef salad to work for lunch.

It is a whole 2 degrees outside this morning and raining - yay!!! Been out already to take DS1 to school. Normally he gets the school bus but every other week he has food tech practicial - so this morning he had pe kit, cooking stuff, normal bag and his guitar (has lessons every Monday).

BofF - you hussy you

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 08:56

thanks squeezy

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 08:57

Bella - have you still not forgiven me for my annoying post?

bellavita · 11/01/2010 09:10

Hells, have I missed something? I don't know what you are talking about... [thick emoticon]

jetcatisfrozen · 11/01/2010 09:13

morning all. Girls came back - an hour and a half late So i am sure you can imagine the state i was in!

Drop off went ok'ish - i did the phone thing and he just left quite quickly, only to come straight in again when junior was in floods of tears telling me how she was wanting to come home yesterday (after the drama at the bus station) as he was really upsetting her making threatening comments about me I cant get her to tell me what he said though, and i dont want to push her too much as she will shut down.

I think ex heard some of this, as the door just slammed straight after - now junior is past herself thinking that he will think she was slagging him off.

Oh i really dont know what to do. I know what i want to do - is to stop all contact, and tell him to f**k off - but at the moment, junior doesnt want to stop going up, as there are a few times when she does actually have fun with him = plus she will miss her grandad and other family. Mini is young enough not to really care either way i think - but as i grew up without my family, its so hard trying to make the decision that could ultimately mean she will grow up without her dad and an extended family - she would have just me, an aunt 300 miles away, and grandparents who we very rarely see 300 miles away in the other direction.

I know you say that all they need is me, and thats really flattering, but i honestly dont feel that that is enough - even if i was in better health

wow - sorry for long post, once i started typing, i couldnt stop

BoF - 3 mins

Alicetheinvisible · 11/01/2010 09:13

Morning

Vinny - i read that interesting things thread yesterday and was amazed at some of it. I truly am just very boring.

BOF

Trills - glad you enjoyed film, everyone i have spoken to who has seen it has loved it.

Bloody cat is in season and has been howling all night so today i have to ring round local vets to get its bits out (before DH has a go at doing it himself!)

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 09:34

Bella - I got overexcited about your impending trip to london and came over all bossy boots and annoying and told you about things you probably already know. And then I worried that I had offended you and apologised. And then you went silent on me

bellavita · 11/01/2010 09:58

You daft thing Hells . I was trying to be good last night and not mn as much - proving a point to DH that we both don't have to be on our lappy's all the time and tbh, I skimmed a few of the posts rather than read them properly. I obviously missed what you wrote - but any info is gladly received

bellavita · 11/01/2010 10:01

Have just gone back to page 4 Hells - thanks alas, my eyebrows are already threadbare from over plucking when I was about 15... They do the threading in Fenwicks and Browns where we are - have seen those ladies in action!

TrillianAstra · 11/01/2010 10:02

If I'm going anywhere that you know Hells I will want you to bore me with a big list of potential things to do - just as long as you don't mind if I don't actually do any of them

Poledra · 11/01/2010 10:15

Morning all. I managed a whole weekend without MN!! Mainly because I left the lappy charger in my bedroom, DD3 sleeps in there and I kept forgetting to take it out before she went to bed (currently having sleep ishoos with her, so desperately trying not to disturb her once she's in the cot). Also, DH bought me the new Prof Leyton game for the DS, so I have lost many happy hours on there since Christmas.

Spent an entire weekend in the company of my children and did not kill any of them, which I reckon is pretty good going. DH is stripping paint in what will be DD1's bedroom, and as the house is old (listed too, Jaq - I feel your pain!) he reckons at least some of it is lead-based so wants the DDs kept well away.

In work, need to get on as am about to miss a deadline, and I've been nipping at my boss for a promotion, so need not to screw things up.

Poledra · 11/01/2010 10:17

Mitts, was it you who asked me if I read a lot? I do (and am intermittently on the AIBU Books thread) but at the moment am reading Nigel Slater's 'Tender' - mmmm. Then have the Hairy Bikers to follow up with. I lurve cookbooks, so I always get at least 2 for Christmas from DH. He has a vested interest in this....
