Do you wear hats? Scarves?

I fancy getting my outerwear sorted this year, it is going to snow and get verrrry cold. I always feel a little odd in a hat though.

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 13:54

The one thing I've found with the red coat is that I can't wear my colourful scarves with it - have to have a black one.

Am I weird for having lots of scarves? And trying to match them to what I'm wearing, even though I won't be wearing them inside?

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 13:55

Haha, x-post on scarves.

Better than too much cock chat anyway.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 13:57

We are far more refined, aren't we Trills?

I like to match my scarves too, but can find them scratchy. I do seem to get bought a new pink/lilac/purple hat/gloves/scarf set every year.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 16/12/2009 14:17

I have about 40 a lot of hats. Have been collecting them for years. My favourites are the Baker Boy styles, have a few in different colours, I like scarves in principal, but they get on my nerves when they make my neck hot.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 14:19

I have a red cordorouy (sp) coat I got in M&S last year and a black wool one from Benetton a few years ago I only have one scarf that DH got me a few years ago, Johnstons cashmere (that I'd never buy for myself), I love it with passion and won't wear any other scarf

I'm a hoarder, I keep stuff for years....there will be no new coat this year!

Hate Per Una but I love this

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 16/12/2009 14:25

I do have a little hat that came off an innocent smoothie that would fit TWC (I presume)

bellavita · 16/12/2009 14:40

Hello

Have had my christmas lunch at work today - loved it (had choc fudge cake with custard for afters too). Our Head of Yr7 bought myself and my job share a lovely box of chocs for keeping her sane, so am pretty stuffed now. We are supposed to be having spag bol for tea but I think I will dish it up for the men and I will have scrambled eggs on toast.

How are we all?

Kissing - are you on fb? because I haven't got you as one of my friends.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 16/12/2009 15:05

''If you don't know, as of today, Facebook will automatically index all your info on Google, which allows everyone to view it. To change this option, go to Settings > Privacy Settings > Search --> then UN-CLICK the box that says 'Allow indexing'. Facebook kept this one quiet. Copy and paste onto your status for all your friends ASAP''

This was posted on my facebook profile.

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 15:11

I've already set it to be ungooglable - I thought the googling thing was months and months ago.

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 15:19

Actually I think I set all my privacy settings to 'nearly-lockdown' when I was job-hunting. Although for this job pics of drunken nights out might have been a positive point

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 16/12/2009 15:59

Bella, yes I am on facebook, I can't find you.

Will sort it out in a bit. I am (initials)S.C

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/12/2009 16:25

hello, just a quick one while sauseages are doing. I don't have a winter coat, I have a couple of really big very woolly jumpers from Fat Face that do very well.

If anyone wants to add me on FB then my email is welddavies at btinternet dot com.

It is the army carol service tonight so will be heading there in a bit.

And lastly good vibes needed. DS's godmother is having IVF on Friday. She is half mexican half spanish so going to Barcelona which has been reccommended to them. It has a very high success rate of 75% and they are implanting 3 embryos. I am so excited for her. Previous 2 pregnancies (natural) have ended in miscarriages. Fingers crossed.

jinglejet · 16/12/2009 16:34

fingers crossed here

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 16/12/2009 17:25

It's Shiney's date tonight- are you going to come on and tell us what you're wearing?

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 17:26

Date night already? How exciting!

Good luck Fanny's friend. What would she do if she ends up with 3?!

FlamingoCrimbo · 16/12/2009 17:46

Good evening ladies.

Loving the coat links - lucky women!

Lizzy! So excited to be your DH's ideal woman I am only 5'1" though - does that suit?

Shiney - what are you wearing tonight then?????? Where are you going - do you know yet?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/12/2009 17:56

Her other half would love it, in his words gets it over and done with they would be extremely happy and in the very fortunate position of being able to afford to employ people to help.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/12/2009 17:57

Good luck tonight Shiney.

bellavita · 16/12/2009 17:57

Come on later Shiney and tell us all about it.

Fingers crossed for Fanny's friend.

jinglejet · 16/12/2009 18:04

and good luck

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 18:09

Good luck to your friend fanny (me too just clicked that five is fanny - doh!)

And good luck Shiney!

Roast gammon, green beans and potatoes tonight.

I tried a fudge recipe and it has turned out like toffee, dunno what I've done wrong but it still tastes nice

Am having a fancy dress party here at Christmas and trying to inject some fun and team games so am currently writing up a treasure hunt!

DidSantasMum · 16/12/2009 18:12

lizzy what's a coat? never wear one personally. Have fluorescent pink and black gloves this year. Only just made it to wearing a jumper and still not doing that all the time at the mo.

at those who can buy their bras in a normal shop. I have to go specialist as have little back 30-32 but big cup about an F. tis a proper pain in the ass.

Just eaten home made chessy scones straight out of the oven. Very yummy and eaten too much but still want more.

SazzlesOnASled · 16/12/2009 18:19

Thanks for all your support [blus]. And well done Jet too for losing 4 stone and a category of obeseness . Your plan of a couple of days off the tablets over XMas sounds good

I am going to be as good as possible throughout the festive season, but not unsociably so IYSWIM? Have works do tomorrow, but am having baked salmon as that is what i fancied. Unfortunately it is my birthday in early Jan so i will only be back 'on it' full time after my blowout celebration in London on the 9th

Jingle - Five is known as Fanny as in Aunt Fanny from the Famous Five . GLad to hear junior has made friends and mini a superstar at preschol. You should be very proud

Re bra's i am now a 34D/DD from a 38DD so not too bad considering the weight i have lost. I do find i have to 'post' myself into the bra a bit more as they are on the softer side

Good luck tonight Shiney
