We definitely need a pre-date outfir/makeup/jewellery breakdown.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 18:22

Flam, at 5ft 1", you are even more perfect for him, if you're blonde as well, you are never meeting him

Have done some CHristmas cards with boys, got some bargains at Lidl, prosciutto, chorizo and smoked salmon. Cheap booze! Apparently their "baileys a like" is better than Baileys, at £4.99 a pop, I thought it would be rude to NOT try it before Christmas. If it's bum, no harm done.

at all those with small backs. Am built like a brick shit house, 38"

Shiney, hope date goes well, come on and tell us all about it, later on (or tomorrow morning ).

VinegarTinselTits · 16/12/2009 19:21

Hello, i've been in a meeting ALL day (defining the future of our team [yawn]) but our boss did take us out for a chinese for our crimbo lunch, i had prawn curry (among other things) it was delicious

So what you wearing Shiney? where is he taking you? have you got condoms?

VinegarTinselTits · 16/12/2009 19:23

oh and my winter coat is black [boring]

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 19:23

Gawd yes, safe sex all the way, Shiney .

Well, I can now say that £2 a pack (not small either), smoked salmon is delicious, bargain.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 16/12/2009 19:31

I thought you were talking about £2 a pack condoms (not small either) for a second there...

Wonder how Shiney is doing?

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 19:35

Sorry, Aldi Smoked Salmon.
I think I may be able to finally love the way I was born to (Smoked Salmon, Italian antipasti, Prosecco etc), simply by shopping at Aldi.
Can get my bog standards from Tesco, and my fripperies from Aldi.

And if they have £2 a pack (not small) condoms as well, all the better

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 19:36

live the way I was born to
And love as well if the condoms are cheap, I s'pose

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 19:42

Was it Aldi or Lidl?

There is an Aldi in my town, but it's far far the wrong side of town. No Lidl anywhere that I'm aware of. Or is it the other way around?

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 19:49

LIDL, sorry
Have been to Aldi but found it a little hit and miss, and it is in next (horrible) town, now we have a Lidl in our town so went there today.
Aldi do some good continental meats, never had any smoked salmon from there though, so cannot vouch for it. I went to Aldi to do a full shop a couple of times in a cost cutting exercise, ended up spending a fortune on non-essentials like prosciutto etc and didn't have enough to feed us for a week. Tesco online shop all the way after that!

bellavita · 16/12/2009 20:04

Kissing - you are a lot leeeetle bit gorgeous

YanknChristmasCrackers · 16/12/2009 20:07

Speaking of, I've got to to my tesco shop tonight as the slot is booked for tomorrow. Very weird to do my meal planning now that I don't have to do only things that can go in the slow cooker or on the hob!

Used the new oven for baked fish, oven chips and roasted mediterranean veg for dinner. Only 5 WW points! So I've stayed within today, and have 3 left I have to use before bedtime.

My winter coat is also black, a very cheap wool job from the U.S. two years ago. Buttons falling off. I wanted to replace it, but can't really justify it atm. Besides, I'm from a pretty cold place--at this temperature, people there are probably still wearing shorts.

Good luck tonight Shiney! Looking forward to the post-date briefing....

LizzyLordsALeaping · 16/12/2009 20:08

Bella, isn't she just? Cheekbones to die for.
Mind you, you're no slouch yerself.

Can now confirm that LIDL (sorry, keep getting my scandy cheap stores confused) £4.99 take on Baileys is bloody gorgeous, obviously had to taste test pre-Christmas guests

YanknChristmasCrackers · 16/12/2009 20:08

ooh was also going to say, if anyone wants to add me on facebook, my email is sarah73076 at googlemail . com

bellavita · 16/12/2009 20:10

lol at Lizzy and no slouch!

and of course you must taste stuff before your guests..

FlamingoCrimbo · 16/12/2009 20:11

Lizzy, you're in luck! I'm a brunette.

TinselianAstra · 16/12/2009 20:14

Really full of sausage and mash now.

£4.99 fake Baileys sounds yum. 17 miles to my nearest Lidl though.

SazzlesOnASled · 16/12/2009 20:25

Trills - had sausage and mash here too. Lurverly

Yank - have added you on FB

You baileys drinkers, have you ever had baileys and cointreau, about 50:50 mix? Very scrummy, almost like Terrys choc orange. Not to be mixed up with TWC's choc orange [shock

DidSantasMum · 16/12/2009 20:37

Has everyone had their ss yet? i'm getting impatient

DingDongBinaryOnHigh · 16/12/2009 20:44

Yep, both mine have arrived (one weeks ago) but unopened.

Trill, what on earth were you doing up at 3am on a school night?

YanknChristmasCrackers · 16/12/2009 20:52

Have tried to join the Shiney cult FB group, but it says there are no admins left?

DingDongBinaryOnHigh · 16/12/2009 20:57

Where did BalloonSlayer go?

DingDongBinaryOnHigh · 16/12/2009 20:58

Jac is admin for the FB group, Yank, but hasn't been on here too much recently. I think RL must have taken over.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 16/12/2009 21:06

Thank-you Bella and Lizzy.

Have just been to DD's nativity play and was literally crying with laughter, it was so funny.

Am also impatient for details of Shiney's date but doubt I will be awake much longer.

I am going to say goodnight, you are all brilliant, beautiful and fab and completely barking, night all x

bellavita · 16/12/2009 21:13

Night Kissing

Trills, I thought that myself this morning when I read back through the thread - that you were up late....

Not tried that Sazz, but I have tried a "bleeding heart" which is 50/50 advocaat and cherry brandy - bloody leathal. A couple of years ago, we had a girly christmas shopping day 4 of us altogthe3r and my friend's mum had come up to stay. After our shopping trip, we collected the kids from school and all came back to ours... - this recipe came from my friends mum and and we all sat here sozzled after having two large ones each. That was a bottle of advocaat gone just like that . My friends mum was cooking their tea - corned beef hash and she forgot to put the corned beef in!
