LOL at FIL divining the washing machine in a yoga pose . He is 6ft 8 and an ex army Royal Engineer. Still he did some 'tapping' on it when it was on the spin cycle and suggested pulling it out and DH taking the back off to check the belt. I am thinking that might take until 2011

Sorry for your shit, waste of money night Vinny . I hope DS goes off to his Dad's ok and you can have some 'me' time

Off for lunch with the neighbours now.....

bellavita · 20/12/2009 12:36

If you are sure Vinnny...

VinegarTinselTits · 20/12/2009 12:41

its just seems a coincidence that this has all started happening since xmil took out the injunction

xfil texted me last night to say he has told ds2 he will pick him up and take him out today, and that pissed me off, he didnt ask me first

he rang before and said he was coming to pick him up and i told him no, we are going shopping, i feel like he is turning ds2 against xp and xmil, i hope i am wrong, but it feels like that

sorry for spilling it all on here, just trying to get to the bottom of things, like you said shiney, its needs to be knocked on the head soon as.

TinselianAstra · 20/12/2009 12:53

How nasty and irresponsible to use a little boy like that. Hope you can get it sorted out. Don't apologise for spilling on here, it's a good place to do it. You're not imposing on anyone because if they don't want to read it they can skip it. (ctrl-f and type 'cock' to find the next bit of cock chat )

jinglejet · 20/12/2009 13:08

vinny - its awful when the kids get caught in the crossfire I hope things get sorted soon, and you get the money situation sorted - i know what that's like! Bella - you're a sweet heart

I put a message on FB, but will ask here as well, please could someone forward me DEM's and SHiney's address, as i have cards that need to be posted

i would go with today shiney - as on the day itself, he will prob be too overwhelmed to play with anything properly

bellavita · 20/12/2009 13:19

Blimey Shiney, just give it to him. Like jet says he will be overwhelmed on Friday!

TinselianAstra · 20/12/2009 13:21

That's a pretty special present for a random day, but why not? I'm sure he'll have too many plenty of toys on Friday anyway.

bellavita · 20/12/2009 13:24

And here's me saying go for it when I keep saying no to my boys when they ask for a chocolate of the tree

VinegarTinselTits · 20/12/2009 13:27

well thats kind of what we have agreed now shiney, xp is going to be picking him up from now on, but obviously he still wants xfil to see ds so i have just asked him to be there when he does, so he is supervised

have had a word with ds and told him how much his daddy loves him and that it makes mummy and daddy very happy when he goes to stay with daddy because daddy misses him, he is now saying he loves daddy, so just goes to show how easily he can be talked round by an adult

will see how things plan out with xfil not having so much alone time with ds, i could be wrong, but dont think i am, xfil has also started turning up with flowers and chocolates for me like he is trying to get me on his side, an he trys to tell me things about xmil but i have to cut him dead and say i dont want to get involved

I am on the fence with that one Shiney, if it was me i wouldnt give him it but i am a bit of a scrooge

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 20/12/2009 13:38

Vinny...that sounds really crap. Poor Ex DP. It might explain DS's increasing reluctance to see his Dad.

XFiL sounds pretty toxic and as if he is trying to muscle in everywhere. Being consistant and firm will help but must be very frustrating.

Sorry it is all going wrong, and about the dress.

Can you get a web cam installed so DS and his Daddy can chat regularly and keep contact that can't be interfered with, maybe at bedtime or something. And get Ex to do something really special that only he and DS do so there is a link that can't be interfered with.

Yes to giving DS the pressy Shiney, but then I am a soft muppet where the DC's are concerned and have spoilt them rotten this Christmas.

bellavita · 20/12/2009 13:39

Oh joy, it is snowing again.. I hate it.

Right, mince pie time me thinks. The pastry should have had enough time to rest in the fridge.

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 20/12/2009 13:46

Hullo all. VT that sounds so crap but you seem to be handling it well - just what you did not need to be dealing with though right now I'm sure.

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 20/12/2009 13:49

Snow here too, though not much. DS runs round saying "snow" and something that passes for snowman. My mum has been on phone in bit of panic as convinced she will not be able to get plane over from N.I. for Christmas. It wouldn't be a family Christmas without a panic though, would it. Every bloody year the ferry or plane gets cancelled (or looks likely to) you'd think we lived in outer mongolia not the UK.

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 20/12/2009 13:50

And no weight loss this week.
Will stop monopolising thread now.

VinegarTinselTits · 20/12/2009 13:51

i have to brave the snow and go to the shops

feeling all emotional after some lovely lovely person just did something really lovely for me

catch you all later

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 20/12/2009 13:52

Sounds well suss, Vinny. I know what you mean about the shopping trip too, that it pisses you off not to be consulted. Yesterday a parcel arrived for dd1- I opened it, and it's from John Lewis online with a typed note saying "These are for the trip down under, love Dad". It was headphones for on the plane. He lives in Australia. Er, nobody mentioned that she was going out to see him

Well, she said he was off at Easter and had mentioned it as an idea to her- but it would be nice to be fricking consulted!!

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 20/12/2009 13:58

jinglejet · 20/12/2009 14:06
