Mitts - will have a look for you, but my initials are CK and I have a pic of flamingoes.

jinglejet · 19/12/2009 19:15

DSM - when i was working, i had just moved into a new town, and knew no-one! It was really hard when junior (who was 4 at the time) was off school - but in the end, we figured it out. I made some friends, and we would swap childcare about if and when we needed it. But, although junior had her problems, i dont think it is on the same scale as your DS, so not too sure what i would do tbh

I do know that a good supportive school is worth its weight in gold though! Will mull it over for you.......

And boy it is snowing here! Junior just been out for a snowball fight with a couple of young kids from down the street, and mini has gone off to sleep muttering something about needing 5 carrots for 5 snowmen

FlamingoCrimbo · 19/12/2009 19:16

any one know an easier way to clear up ulbus oil then nail varnish remover?

bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:29

Squeezy - was at the hairdressers today and comment was passed on what a lovely necklace I had on......

bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:30

Ooooh hello Shiney. Have you finished school now for two weeks?

FlamingoCrimbo · 19/12/2009 19:34

Bella - thanks for not having a bust up with me on the children's parties thread - even though I do think you are very PFB

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 19/12/2009 19:34

Hiya hunlet

No household tips from me, DEM. I peaked with the jizz-swallowing, I think.

hellsbelles · 19/12/2009 19:35

glad to see all the healthy eating going on - I've contributed with a curry and chocolate pud. I really really am going to be good in the new year but it's all too tempting now.

Braved waitrose today (as I didn't book my ocado in time!) - it was mental. So busy. But polite busy - everyone was careful not to ram another person with a trolley!

DSM - a quandry indeed. Though I assume good schools like that are very very hard to come by?

Looking forward to some laziness now. But missing x-factor!

Bella - that sounded like such a lovely morning. Bet 'you are looking glam and sparkly now.

bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:37

Flamingo - I am sooooo not PFB, believe me . It's just not something I would do, if others do it, it is up to them, but I couldn't.

BofF - aren't you supposed to be at Reality's party?

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 19/12/2009 19:38

Bella!

Snow, bella, snow. I couldn't cope with the drive in the dark arctic wastes, so had to cancel when I realized what the weather was doing

FlamingoCrimbo · 19/12/2009 19:41

'Twas only joking, Bella! In fact, when one of the shiney crew post a differing opinion to me, it does make me think twice about my own opinion - that's how much I like you all!

bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:42

Hells, it was lovely. My hairdresser is just bloody fab. She has a bit of a menagerie at home and has donkey's and chickens. One of her donkey's played a part in a nativity last Sunday and as the procession were crossing a really busy main road in the afternoon, the donkey stopped dead in the middle and woudn't move. No amount of arse slapping would shift it. She was soooo embarrassed. They had to physically carry it over.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 19/12/2009 19:43

Who can carry a donkey?

bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:43
  • Flamingo. Phew.
bellavita · 19/12/2009 19:46

Oh BofF - I am bloody thick. Was your hunlet post in response to me saying you were at Realities or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely....

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 19/12/2009 19:52

No, you didn't mention Reality's until after I saw Hunlet, I think?

I am not Hunlet, honest guv.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 19/12/2009 19:54

I had a hairdresser come to the house and cut dd1@s hair yesterday, btw. It was cheap as chips, and she looks bloody gorgeous. I wish she would let me post pictures of her, but I guess that at 13 I have to respect her privacy
