Im such a party animal

VinegarTinselTits · 18/12/2009 19:04

Hello, no more work till jan woooo!

I should be jumping for joy but because AF is due i am grumpy and snappy but trying not to be because i want to be HAPPY

I resisted going to the shops to get wine and munchies for tonight (would have only spent money i havent got) so i am making do with some Sherry and chedders

Great news about your dad FB, hope he doesnt get cold feet

Big bag of baubles are on their way to you jaq

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 19:22

FB - happy news - hope it all works out.

Supper was Bay roast chicken, mash, carrots and lots of gravy (and pudding )

Looking forward to doing loads washing (never thought I'd utter that sentence). My miracle miracle chap in a crisis (not DH! a handyman I've known for years - but he was busy when washing first started leaking)...seems to have worked out what is wrong with the washing machine...that SIX British gas washing machine chaps and a miele chap couldn't bloody figure out.

I wish I'd just been patient and waited for him to look at it rather than deal with those fucking idiots (excuse my language).

o.k...better get on with it.

bellavita · 18/12/2009 19:22

I've finished too Vinny - good feelin' ain't it?....

Am just eating Thorntons chocolate penguins

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 19:25

mamazone

flamingo - i hope all goes well on wed, and you sound so lovely and non-judgemental in your acceptance of him.

I admit to harbouring similar thoughts about my dad - very long story cut very short is that no 100% sure he actually is my dad as out of 4 kids (birth mother had a few more, but only 4 with my dad IYSWIM) my birth certificate is the only one he is not named on. Plus, i am told that the one and only time i saw him was when i was 2 years old, and was on a supervised contact visit with my birth mum - who was in prison at the time

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 19:26

who mentioned chocolate penguins

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 19:28

and have a good night DSM

and congrats to all who had their last day at work today. How is your new job going shiney?

VinegarTinselTits · 18/12/2009 19:33

dem where are you off too? have a great night

DidSantasMum · 18/12/2009 19:37

down rink - training/having fun. Loving being back on the ice. Little thing and just me going but hey, it makes me feel more human. just throwing some clothes on then off out. promise dsis that would be early rather then late so will be back for as soon as possible around 10.20pm ish. Dont care it'll be fun.

FlamingoCrimbo · 18/12/2009 20:07

Thanks for all the good wishes

I have to say my life hasn't been dramatic in quite the same way as yours Jet!

Handbags:

I have made two different sorts so far, from online tutorials.

Bag number one, for my closest friend who lives in Cambridge, and for my step-mother.

Bag number two for two of my closest local friends

I made my dad a glasses case and am going to make my mum one too.

I'll post photos of the handbags when I can find the charger for my camera battery.

VinegarTinselTits · 18/12/2009 20:13

My ds2 has just told me he has found a canibal

I did a double take, then he produced a toy camel

lovely bags FB, very clever

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 21:06

lovely bags flamingo - i love the buttercup one and at the camel!

yes, my life has been somewhat dramatic - in fact, when i think of everything that has happened, good and bad, i almost dont believe it myself - its like, 'how can that much happen to one person'

But, i am somewhat immune now i think (not sure if that is a good or bad thing) and just relay tales when i think of them

i dont mean to upset/ freak anyone out/offend anyone though - so please tell me if i do

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 21:17

lovely bags flam - I'm tempted now to get a sewing machine - in the vain hope that will force me to make lovely things like those

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 21:26

oh dear lord - Heston Blumanthal (sp?!) is cooking doormice on Channel 4.

he has now stuck it on a stick and covered it in white choc

YanknChristmasCrackers · 18/12/2009 22:49

Evening all. I've just come back from meeting up with some yanks I met on an expats group on facebook. It was kinda weird to hear other Americans who've been here as long as I have speak with English inflections and slang--like I finally know what I sound like, IYSWIM. DS was very well behaved. We still don't know lots of people up this way so tend not to go out without him for lack of a sitter.

We went to a Mediterranean restaurant which was lovely. I'm not sure how much I ate, we just ordered lots of little dishes, but I barely had any meat or any animal products at all (other girl was vegan and we were sharing), so figure the calories couldn't be too bad.

There is a cannister of chocolate truffles in my dining room. It has been there since yesterday and I haven't touched it. I am thinking about it a lot though.

FB - hope things go well when you see your dad

hells - glad your washing machine is sorted

MummyClausGoneCrazy · 18/12/2009 23:01

Loved your final phonecall with him
He really was thick as sh*t

DidSantasMum · 19/12/2009 08:33

And this is why is it legend! Mummy claus

Vinny meant to say last night that i like the bags you have made more then the ones i make. might have to go find a few more patterns to play with. Thankyou for the eye opener.

Right a day of madness we have already had mum its saturday can i have my christmas presents yet.... No later my friend. oh to be so excited. I am going to turn the central heating down as some toad has turned it up over night and boiled us [fanrgy]

Have a lovely day all.

bellavita · 19/12/2009 08:46

Eugh have a blocked stuffy nose and a headache.... Am at the hairdressers at 11.15 getting pampered. Hopefully all my grey will be covered when I come out . I am going to treat my car to a hand job on the way home as it is soooo filthy.

I saw Heston last night too. Wasn't impressed with the stuff he did - in fact I fell asleep towards the end. That Kate Spicer gets on my nerves.

How is everyone today?

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 19/12/2009 08:50

Iggi, I am working through to Christmas Eve.

The DC's are still asleep and it is bliss. I am pottering, drinking tea..

I wish we were close FB, I have a huge bag of original 60's and 70's material which would make some great bags. It is your if you think you might use it and we can work out a way of getting it to you.

I could use then but I tend to get so many projects going that I get overwhelmed and really want to spend any time I have spare painting.

I am feeling very seasonal and perky , hope all have good weekends xx

Jet...no worries, that is what friends are for, but so good to hear that things are going better for you at the moment..

DidSantasMum · 19/12/2009 08:50

A hand job on a car? intresting thought that bella

AF, boiled head, sore ankles, sleep depreivation... Not too bad Bella thanks for asking

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 19/12/2009 08:52

I refuse to be the one to point out the double entendre behind your filthy car getting a hand job bella, I appear to be getting something of a reputation..

Morning to you...

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 19/12/2009 08:53

Ahaaa DEM is obviously even more depraved than me!!
