alice - was it you that sent me a friend request (my initials HL?) just want to check before I say yes in case it's not you and a random Alice

awastingamanger · 18/12/2009 11:35

No hells, that's me!

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 12:00

aha! Thanks wasting....will accept now I know it's not a random nutter (of whom I seem to attract quite a few!)

FlamingoCrimbo · 18/12/2009 12:32

I'm making Christmas cards and handbags for presents like a woman possessed! But I keep wanting to come and play on the computer instead

Trying desperately to just have two pieces of toast with my beans for lunch - very, very desperate to eat a couple more slices with some lovely plum jam on.....

But DH is making mince pies this afternoon so I'd rather have one of them.

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 12:46

flam - that sounds lovely - I'm being far lazier and watching kirsties homemade christmas and imagining I will do such things one day.

Also sorting out about 3 tonnes of washing as I have begged access to a machine over the weekend. Just loading into 2 suitcases now. Urghh

VinegarTinselTits · 18/12/2009 12:51

oh i made a rose out of ribbon after watching kirsty, i put it on my mums birthday present (crimbo eve) it looks beautiful, arent i clever?

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 13:00

yes Vinny you are very clever and I must must must do something crafty like that. Bet your Mum will be chuffed.

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 13:37

very very clever Vinny I have the dreams and the will to make such beautiful stuff - but unfortunately not the talent

Hells, very at your posh lunch - i just walked past Nandos and wondered if that was too posh for me!

Lizzy - thank you

Oh, and i need shiney's address, as i sent cards out yesterday, but havent got shineys, and dont want her to feel all left out or anything incase she doesnt speak to me again

LizzyLordsALeaping · 18/12/2009 13:49

You're very welcome Jet
I only posted it yesterday, you have a good postie.

Boys are slumped in front of the TV now, have been out, slid around a bit, had a snowball fight and made snow angels. Snow too powdery for snowmen making.

Am knackered.

Boys off to a party at 4pm, so will have a bit of a doze then

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 14:01

oh lizzy - lucky boys - that sounds lovely.

I"m pissed off as DD woke up early so I have no time to MN work.

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 14:08

havent opened it, keeping it with my SS one

we havent got the right kind of snow for snowmen either

Hells - i read that as you were pissed - and thought - wow - thats early

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 14:09

jet - it was lovely and probably too posh for me - but I really don't care about that! And neither should you - nothing is too posh for anyone really is it - it's only if you let people make you think that (does that make sense???)

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 14:09

lol Jet! I'm not quite that bad....yet.

jinglejet · 18/12/2009 14:20

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 18/12/2009 14:27

O.M.G.

DS has been home for an hour and my brain has now been blended to a smoothie. And apparently he's NOT hyper.

Don't they do a christmas holiday camp ANYWHERE?

. God love him.......

hellsbelles · 18/12/2009 14:30

at christmas holiday camp. DS had a drama thing for the last 3 days and the teacher said to us on the last day - "I can't imagine anything more christmassy than preparing a play with 15 children over 3 whole days" the parents all tittered at that. Christmassay would not be my word for it...but glad she feels like that.

TinselianAstra · 18/12/2009 14:33

I love things that are 'too posh' for me. That's what presents should be - things you would love to have but would never buy fo ryourself.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 18/12/2009 14:33

Would it be illegal to put some super-glue in some toffee and give it to him? He is talking loudly at high speed in a variety of fake voices.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 18/12/2009 14:41

Boys are creating stuff in the kitchen, lots of glue, stars, sequins and glitter gel.

So I'll prob be not dozing when they're out but cleaning

I love posh stuff too, despite being a commoner.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 18/12/2009 14:41

DS..'mum, can I buy some rubber gloves to put over my gloves so they don't get wet when I am throwing snowballs?'

ME..'Why don't you go to the chemist and see if they have a few latex pairs they can sell you?'

DS. 'Can I have some money?'

ME...'Yes but I want the change back'

42 PAIRS

What in GOD'S NAME does he want 42 bloody pairs of latex gloves for.

Aaaarrggghhhh......

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 18/12/2009 14:42

I am going to have a KitKat.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 18/12/2009 14:47

Sorry Mitts, but at 42 pairs of latex gloves.
That is a whole lot of snowball throwing he is planning.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 18/12/2009 14:55

I know...but why can't he just slob in front of the telly like your lads?

I'd have to glue him to the sofa.

Sorry anyway.

Hello all,

Yes VT, you are clever.

bellavita · 18/12/2009 15:02

Yay, I have now broken up from school.

DS1 waited for the bus (not long enough though imo) this morning and it did not come within the 20 minute window slot so he came home as with the rest of the school kids bar in 3 girls who waited - and the bus did eventually arrive. I rang school for him and he receptionist did not sound best pleased (she had probably received a 100 other same phonecalls). I have come home to copious amounts of wet clothes strewn over every bloody radiator and he has now gone back out - I am sooooo , yes I know it is snow and the kids like to play in it but I have enough washing to do. >

Was supposed to be going out tonight but with the weather we have postponed it till the Friday of our first week back at school.

Well done Sazz on your 4lb

Hello everyone

LizzyLordsALeaping · 18/12/2009 15:05

I meant to enquire about your homemade handbags, Flam. What/How?

I am not crafty/artistic but find it therapeutic to at least try.

Looking at my DS's efforts in the kitchen, seems they have inherited my slapdash style

Bella, my hallway is a war zone, another wash is on. Snow is messy.
