No more eating lots of pie, we're staying fit and wealthy...etc etc

Welcome to this seasonal healthy eating thread- all welcome, and the only fat birds will be the turkeys

Join the festive chat, and we'll keep each other on the straight and narrow!

ould think he was 22 not 42 - oops pressed post then by mistake.

awastingamanger · 17/12/2009 16:59

Bella, hopefully he's learned his lesson!

Yank, never mind. They cut down gradually as the solids start, so hopefully you'll be able to adjust. It took me a little while to get used to not having 2nd breakfast.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 17:00

Oh dear. Men can be idiots sometimes. My dad has only just extricated himself from the batshit crazy woman who was the final nail in the coffin for my parents' marriage. She was/is a sociopath (not exaggerating, truly she is). Took my dad ages to figure out she was lying to him, stealing from him, and had basically ruined his life. I was very happy to help him start divorce proceedings (he'd married her because he needed health insurance, and supposedly she was rich and dying of cancer--neither of which were true of course).

Ah well, he's with a lovely woman now that he's been friends with for years. And my mum is remarried happily too. Just wish this psycho hadn't put them through so much pain. She is still trying to apply for credit in my dad's name, blackmail him, and stay in touch by claiming she's got stuff of his/mine. I would happily run her over with my car. She is just damn lucky I don't live in the U.S. Never would have gotten away with so much if I had.

Bella, I hope your brother can see how lucky he is to get a second chance!

bellavita · 17/12/2009 17:18

I think his brain is in his trousers sometimes! Squeezin, yes the Thai lady (she wasn't thai, but claimed to co own a hotel in Phuket with her brother)

Anyway, I will be glad when all the bloody festivities are over and there are no chocolates and festive drinks to gorge on. I can feel myself getting fatter by the day tis not good. When the kids leave school tomorrow at 1.05, there are mince pies and refreshments for the staff....

Yank - definitely before and after pics!

LizzyLordsALeaping · 17/12/2009 17:26

Evening all, we have snow!
Shiney, sorry about the date, cranberry juice and bird impressions? Doesn't sound v shaggable.

Bella, your brother is very lucky to be given a second chance, hope he realises this

Yank, post pics, post pics!

Will be glad when this week is over, it's all party party party. For the Ds's, not me unfortunately.

bellavita · 17/12/2009 17:44

Tis snowing here and laying. DS2 is supposed to be doing the 2nd performance of his play (he is doing the music and then for the 3rd part of the play, lays on the stage as a sheep) I am in two minds as to whether he will be going out tonight... so a teacher could do the music and nobody will miss him from the stage, he is also full of cold. It starts at 7 and goes on for 1 hr 40mins...

of course you are deserving, only jealous people would think that you were not

me on the other hand, my hardship is of my own doing, i just love to waste money and never learn my lessons about getting into debt

TinselianAstra · 17/12/2009 18:55

Evenin' all! Decorating Christmas tree. Lights are too short. Sending DH out with DD3 to get more, and hoping that she falls asleep on the way home.

TinselianAstra · 17/12/2009 19:17

I'm filling a travel guide with post-its cos one of my friends is planning on going ot New Zealand and I spent January there

Later will be drinking mulled wine.

jinglejet · 17/12/2009 19:20

awww shiney and
vinny - you soooooo deserve it, you (amongst others) are the lovely people who keep this thread together, and encourage and support those of us who need it

Bella - that sounds complicated [fmm] hope xmas turns out ok!

we have snow too - junior just said,"good job we dont have a car at the moment as you wont drive"

too right, had a minor crash about three years ago, scared the pants off me - though no serious injuries thank goodness! But, i did have the world's worst passenger in the car - the girls nana. She was a nervous wreck in any car, and the one and only time i manage to get her in my car with me driving - i crash

Ooops she never let me forget it!
