DEM, I have face booked you re Sunday.

Shiney, disappointing, The thought terrifies me especially as I don't have your great attitude to life. I may wind up being the mad, batty lady of the village that feeds the ducks and shouts at passing cars whilst shaking a frilly umbrella.

Could you do an evening class or anything?

FB, are you feeling any better yet?

Morning all x

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 17/12/2009 07:06

Hello Heqet, we might just kidnap you and force you to stay...mwah ha ha!!!

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 17/12/2009 07:14

And Hi Bella and Yank

And Jaq How's things?

FlamingoCrimbo · 17/12/2009 07:56

Good morning

Mitts - bleeding was a little slower yesterday and I've had nothing in the night. Keeping fingers crossed that this is the end. It'll have been a fully eight days of bleeding though! I've had lots of red meat, leafy green veg, and oranges though, so hopefully won't get anaemic. I'm feeling ok right now, but have lots and lots to do over the next couple of days, while DH is off work. Thanks for asking!

DEM - what's your 'issue'? Ask away!

Hi Jac

Shiney - you're a great big meany-pants . it was such a disappointment. Tell us when you've sent the 'sorry, but no thank you' email! And tell us what you say in it. What/who is next on the agenda then?

jinglejet · 17/12/2009 08:24

awwwww Shiney

Flamingo - hope you're ok!

Jac - lovely to see you, and although not a guru i will help out if i can. You should enjoy xmas first though

DEM - ask away - Lord knows i have moaned and moaned discussed my issues

morning to everyone

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 17/12/2009 08:33

Morning all! Have been up since disgusting o'clock, and went to bed at disgraceful o'clock- but I need to stay awake for the washing machine repair man, who'll be here between nine and eleven. What's the bets it will be 10.45 and I could have gone back to bed?

Jet, I sent you a fb message last night

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 17/12/2009 09:24

Morning all

Shiney - so sorry it was a disappointment. You really should write about all of this, become a famous author with loads of money and then if you are still feeling lonely at least you could do it with the pool boy

Despite feeling fat and bleugh, i have actually lost weight i was 9st8 this morning
How is it that i am 1lb away from pre-pg weight, yet i am still much fatter?

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 17/12/2009 09:42

Morning ladies

Good to see you back Jac!

Flamingo - hope you feel better soon.

Shiney - that's a shame you didn't click with the pharmacist, sounds like quite a nice guy but just not 'your type'.

I have fell in love, head over heels with wee cat. She is gorgeous and lovely One minute she's crazy mad dashing around the house at 100mph, the next she is up looking for cuddles

TinselianAstra · 17/12/2009 10:02

Alice - you were probably more muscular before, sorry.

Aww, poor Shiney's date, he sounds fun and nice, but there's no point dating someone you're not attracted to.

Went to bed early last ngiht. The late night ness on Tuesday was office Christmas outong (pub, then a port-tasting, then more pub, then sitting around in the chill-out-zone upstairs at the office when the pub kicked us out).

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 17/12/2009 10:06

You are probably right Trills. I am a bit like a blamange now

jinglejet · 17/12/2009 10:33

Alice, congrats on the loss nontheless

I too think shiney should write a book - i myself was contemplating one last night - with the most excellent title - 'Jetcat and her catagories of obeseness'

BoF - have messaged you back

VinegarTinselTits · 17/12/2009 12:58

Morning all, oh i made a show of myself in my local summerfield last night

picked up a bottle of wine that said on the self it was on offer (£5.70) got to the till and came to £8.99, que me: thats not right its on offer £5.70, so i made the woman go to the wine aisle and check, and i was wrong some doughnut self stacker had put all the bottles in the wrong place

so we gets back the till, and now there was a massive queue, and i made her give me my money back and told them they should make sure their shelfs are stacked properly

All the while i was tottering in my high heels (which were killing me) dragging ds2 behind me by the hand, while this queue of people were watching i looked like a right nutter!

TinselianAstra · 17/12/2009 13:11

They should make sure their shelves are stacked properly, silly people.

Why were you tottering in heels?

VinegarTinselTits · 17/12/2009 13:15

i went straight from work and still had work shoes on, but they are new and i only wore them becuase we went to a resturant at lunch time

TinselianAstra · 17/12/2009 13:22

Ah, posh office work shoes.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 17/12/2009 13:24

My washing machine is fixed, hurrah! Is it very wrong that I was thinking about arses the whole time he was here?

My homemade cards have run out, and I can't make more until I have found the tube of ink I was using. That's red ink. Which takes ages to dry and once fixed is indelible. And looks like blood.

What are the bets dd2 finds it before I do? Eeeeeeek.

Afternoon!

Been to toddler group party, which makes me sweat, chasing my little basher around.

Good luck on the ink-hunting BoF!

Shiney, that's a shame. He does sound fun, but I don't think I could do bird-like either.

Yank - you still get an extra 5 points when they're on solids, so it's not a massive drop.
If you want to donate you have to start before they're six months. Not sure on criteria, as I left it too late, but have a search on the breastfeeding board and there'll be some info.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 15:58

I spent most of the day in the centre of Warrington, determined to get all Christmas shopping done in one go while it was fairly quiet. I even went into the Warrington Market (BOF, did not see the crazy lady, but confirmed the market is mostly shite).

And now I have a CostCo membership! There was a stall in the mall and they just took my word for it that I work for the NHS. Am going to go tomorrow to get the cards and see what goodies they have in there.

Alice, are you still feeling queasy? I am going to see if they have saltines, will send you some to try if you like!

bellavita · 17/12/2009 16:09

Well my brothers new partner has done a runner and gone. He came back to an empty house on Tuesday night (his few bits were still there, but she had cleared everything else). It turns out she has not paid the rent... and the lease is for 6 months. So he has not even bought his childrens pressies yet.. so I am now having to send DH on a bloody mercy mission on Saturday into town to Jack Wills to get a hoodie that my niece wants from her Dad. DH is gonna bloody faint when they ask for £69. I love my brother to bits but he really needs to stop messing about now.

bellavita · 17/12/2009 16:12

and hello to everyone

Bloody weather is shocking....

awastingamanger · 17/12/2009 16:22

Crikey Bella! Your poor DB! Were you expecting something like that?

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 16:22

awasting, I checked some milk donation websites...doesn't look like you can donate if you take antidepressants. Oh well, it was a nice thought.

Bella, how long were they together?

am thinking of colouring my hair tonight. Bought some stuff today. Shall I do before and after pics?

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 17/12/2009 16:37

Oh that's a shame Bella. Was that the Thai lady? What a crap time to up and leave without saying a word, not that any time is good, but Christmas is especially bad

bellavita · 17/12/2009 16:40

I am not tbh..

He was married for 12 years to wife no 1, they had two children together. She left him for her boss. He had a couple of girlfriends after this then met a lovely girl who he married. They have been married for just over a year but she does not have children and I think her and my neice did not hit it off although her and my nephew have a really strong bond. Things went through a rocky patch and instead of sticking it out, my brother left her and met someone else. Meanwhile, my ex ex SIL moves with hubby and children so my bro and new woman set up house together in next village to them - this was about 6 weeks ago. TBH, from what I can gather, she has been living in a huge fantasy land and told lots and lots of lies and I think she has realised they are coming to bite her on the bum so has scarpered.... only she has not paid the rent etc etc... she seemed to have a plausable excuse for everything that has not been paid for. Don't get me wrong, my brother has paid his way too with bills and she was sorting the rent or so he thought. Meanwhile, his lovely wife no 2 has sat patiently in the wings and has waited for him to come back which I have said to him he needs to treat her like a bloody queen and kiss her feet over this. Because she will now make sure that the children get their presents from him. He went crying to my parents last weekend and said what a mistake he had made leaving wife no 2. I am so glad she is going to be sitting at my xmas dinner table. I think he thought she used to pick on him. She has two jobs, an office one full time and a weekend one - 6am till 12 on a sat and 6 till 2 on a Sunday to earn extra money so they can afford to take his children out and buy them nice things and although my brother is tidy at home, if he left washing up in the sink she would go mad saying she had just done a 65 hour week or whatever and he needed to pull his weight - I can see her pov. So instead of working through it, he got fed up and met someone else. Anyone w
