My best advice was for Shiney to go out without her specs on. Thinking about it, were you wearing them when I visited? I don't remember...I don't know whether to be offended...probably for the best in my case too

jaquelinehyde · 17/12/2009 00:04

Did you get a sneaky pic of him?

jaquelinehyde · 17/12/2009 00:04

If not then you must date him again just so you can get one and we can judge for you.

TerryWogansCockandChev · 17/12/2009 00:05

so ms bellingham, how are you going to get out of this one? when he rings again i mean?

So it was a fairly uneventful evening then shiney...

At least he had personality even though not ticking the boxes with the looks. WOuld have been worse if the personality wasnt as expected.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 00:07

I'm giggling about the car....totally sounds like something I'd do.

simple then dont!

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 00:17

@getting your eyes lasered

'fetch my good lady a glass of water'

I can almost hear my DH saying something like this, but only if he was completely bladdered and doing it in a ridiculously posh accent.

Sounds like you have to break this one off then. Email? The 'I had a very nice time but I just don't think it will work' standard message?

DidSantasMum · 17/12/2009 00:20

interersting x-post...

i have an issue, no idea whether it is logical and rational to consider or just madness. Ex is a pain in ass sometimes but he could be talking sense. Might mull and come back for advice. Need my head to think about something else before i sleep.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 00:21

My XH would have ordered cranberry juice. But he was weird in a million other ways.

someone want to confiscate what is left of the tube of pringles that i am munching my way through.

jaquelinehyde · 17/12/2009 00:27

Shiney don't let it get you down. If the spark of attraction isn't there, then it isn't there. You can't force that, you just need to nip it in the bud with a simple email/text then relax and have a good Christmas.

Dem - ask away whenever you are ready.

jaquelinehyde · 17/12/2009 00:28

I ate a tube last night

Off to bed now as well, I'm shattered. Sleep well everyone.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 17/12/2009 00:29

I have had a mince pie. Still waitng for DP to finish work so we can have a drink and a chat before bed. He needs to get the painting picked up at seven, so it's got to be finished. I did nip round to see him, but I couldn't stay too late in case dd2 wakes up- not really fair on the older ones to have to listen out for her. I fear I am too late for the fun late-night trollery though.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 00:32

I technically MUST eat 2.5 more points today.

DidSantasMum · 17/12/2009 00:37

enjoy!

YanknChristmasCrackers · 17/12/2009 00:45

Cheers DEM!

So was thinking this evening...DS is 16 weeks, so only 10 more weeks to go before he starts solids and I don't get all these extra points for exclusive breastfeeding. What if I just kept pumping more than he needs? Could I keep eating then? How many calories do you suppose each ounce expressed amounts to?

I'm sure it's a ridiculous idea and I should just get off my arse and exercise more. I wonder how strict the criteria for milk bank donation is though...

Heading for bed, catch you all tomorrow....

bellavita · 17/12/2009 06:36

Jaq - fabulous to see you! Glad you are back

Oh Shiney....I fee disappointed for you.

Having porridge this morning, I really really need to get my arse in gear. Am fed up of the christmas treats already and there is still a bloody week to go. Have ordered my yoghurt and blueberries to come with my shopping today. I need to go back to counting points definitely.

The boys are so desparate for snow.. but looking at the weather picture it looks like where we are we just might miss it (thank the lord).
