...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

Gawd, they have loads of work for me to do, I am only here to MN and drink coffee, how very rude of them!

I want a Christmas name! Someone help me with one, please (that was a whiney pleeeease)

Lizzylou · 05/12/2009 12:47

OOh yes, well done Iggi

My coldsore is pulsating, I just feel like putting a bag over my head.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 05/12/2009 13:04

Oh have had a crazy morning so far. Missed the post office so will need to post the things on Monday.....Grrr! Been rushing around like mad. DH is back shift and we have friends round for dinner so I will spend the day tidying up and making the house all festive.

Am gonna make either veggie chilli or veggie lasagne, haven't made up my mind yet.

Glad everyone seems to be having a nice day

Well, that's the healthy eating ruined for the day already. We just went to the market and got some really nice cheese, and had Jamaican takeaway (jerk chicken, plaintains & dumplings), and a sausage hot dog.

I love LizzieLordsaLeaping.....now someone please think of one for me!

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 13:24

Ta Da!

Thanks Squeezy

The new Financial Adviser just bought me a trifle, gone in seconds and I don't even really like trifles.............

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 13:26

Hmmm, Yankncock, that is a tough one.

Will have a think.......

(Jamaican take away sounds bloody lovely!).

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 05/12/2009 13:39

ISawYankKissingSantasCock?

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 05/12/2009 13:40

I really should be tidying up and not larking around here

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 13:53

ISawYankKissingSantasCock

It has to be, that one!
Squeezy is a genius

YanknChristmasCrackers · 05/12/2009 14:02

It IS genius, I chuckled heartily, but not sure I can pull it off

what I mean to say is, I'm no SolidGoldCunt or AnyFucker. YanknCock works for me because it's smutty but has a more innocent explanation.

I will think on it, but stick with this for the moment. Perhaps when I'm emboldened by alcohol late at night....

DontEatMountains · 05/12/2009 14:45

tis sods law. i have a boy free weekend so i can get up to speed with work and instead i am ill in bed (having fallen asleep twice already) and still not got anything done. I feel shit.

Diet coke me feels either that or i am not going to be in school on monday as too poorly nice things are planned for this week too.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 15:29

Bugger me, I've spoken to some thickos at work today.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 16:05

Some bloke has just come in with a budget of £1.5million, cash!
That will buy em half the valley round here

And no, he wasn't fit.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 05/12/2009 16:11

Cash Bloody hell!

bellavita · 05/12/2009 16:27

Oooer Lizzy they are rich round your way

Have been shopping with DS1, 2 and DH. Went everywhere to get DS1 some trainer/shoes that he liked. He really is terrible. Anyhooo, got some and a coat in one shop and I really thought we were going to leave with nothing, but it all came right in the end - £80 quid later... so all in all this week he has had two pair of jeans, 2 polo shirts, one pair of shoes and a coat which came to £160.

We had a lovely lunch in a tiny pizzeria - I had a "light" pizza which was under 400 calories. Was lovely. Of course, DS1 looks down the menu at the prices and goes I'll have that - which usually means he has picked the most expensive which he did today. He did eat it all although I really don't know where he puts it all and he of course had to have a dessert.

I have got a rotten headache.

Hope you feel better soon DEM.

Fanny, how are you feeling?

awastingamanger · 05/12/2009 17:19

Teenage boys sound expensive Bella.

bellavita · 05/12/2009 17:26

I won't be having any tea, I am still full from lunch.

TinselianAstra · 05/12/2009 17:41

Walked around the Mill Rd winter fair, have painted nails, and now contemplating fake eyelashes (never done them before). Not 100% sure I can walk in the shoes, but we're mostly having a big posh dinner and you do that sitting down.

Oooh, so looking forward to it, this'll be the last time I get to go (technically univerity-related, one of my friends who hasn't quite finished her PhD got us in) and it's just sooooo lovely.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 17:43

Ooh, have a lovely time Trills- you sound very glam

OP posts:
TinselianAstra · 05/12/2009 18:47

False eyelashes are difficult. Had to get DP to help me. Next time I'm going for a full set, not these individual ones, don't care if it looks like a spider.

I am very glam. There will be pics on facebook at some point. My toenails and fingernails are silver.

I will miss this - this is the last of this sort of thing I'll get to go to. I like poncing around in black tie, it's lovely. I like port too. Vinny is the one on here who likes port, isn't she? I'll just have to join her in non-posh-occassion-port-drinking.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/12/2009 18:54

Feeling great thank you Bella.

Wnet to my mothers for lunch, DH was shooting with my father but mother on these days does lunch rather than a picnic so had port with cheese, yum, and then took DC's swimming after.

DS is 18months aswell. My SIL has 3 boys and she said they just constantly eat aswell.

Steak and chips for supper, and then my sister and some friends for lunch tomorrow and 2 days to be goo in before weigh in.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 18:54

Oh, I'm sure Vinny sits in full evening dress when she sups her port, Trills
