...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

have a nice time trill! Enjoy!

Dosed up on caffine and baked potatoe with cheese. Putting the christmas music on and putting some decorations up (need to tidy first as that is the rule round here but hey) then will tackle the lesson plans whilst i am not sleeping cos i drank a lrt of coke in the evening. Nothing but a trip to ikea (where meeting for the ds drop off) planned for tomo. Might do some baking but that is all.

Tis the season to be jolly,
fuck the ivy burn the holly
grumpy mothers loopy boys
tis the season to be jolly
going mad in the country side.

TinselianAstra · 05/12/2009 18:59

Port at lunchtime? Now that I could get into

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/12/2009 19:00

Hope you get better soon DEM.

bellavita · 05/12/2009 19:02

Trills - you sound gorgeous. I have worn false eyelashes before - a full set rather than indviduals, but by the end of the night they were coming undone!

I have made a christmas cake (my second one) and it is in the oven as we speak. The fruit has been soaking in alcohol for over a week .

Watching Strictly now in my pj's.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/12/2009 19:14

Why are Matthew and Ian standing there?

hellsbelles · 05/12/2009 19:28

Trills you sound fab. Enjoy batting your eyelashes.

Just had fish and chips (following my weekend - bets off - diet). Also feeling very menstrual which is only cured by copious amounts of buttered baguette.

bellavita · 05/12/2009 19:32

Mmmm buttered baguette

My period has arrived today....

hellsbelles · 05/12/2009 19:39

go for it Bella - I think you need extra calories when you have a period

Just lazing around here watching Harry Hill and looking forward to X-factor - oh the glamorous life I lead

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/12/2009 19:42

Oh yes, echo the extra calories when you have your period.

Hells - could I be very cheeky and ask for that info about selling books on amazon.

hellsbelles · 05/12/2009 20:15

hi five (oh isn't there a programme called hi five!) - not cheeky - can you facebook me your address and I'll sort it.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/12/2009 20:20

email address is welddavies at btinternet dot com. Don't think I have you as FB friend. Thank you so much.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 20:28

TRills you sound very glam, hope you're having a fab time (I luuurrrve Port too, haven't had it since Boxing Day last year though when I polished off almost a whole bottle to myself and really regretted it).

Hells/Bella, am with you on the menstruation nation front, no wonder I was eating so much yesterday.

Bloke with £1.5m cash was from Clitheroe/Ribble Valley way, where there are lots of big posh houses. Not so much round this way

Just put tree up with the boys, which was eventful. DS2 trod on a decoration and made a big hole in his foot. He can't walk on it very well and we are going to the Medieval Christmas market at Skipton tomorrow, which will involve a lot of walking......

awastingamanger · 05/12/2009 21:05

That's a shame Lizzy. I'm sure some festive treats will take his mind off his foot.

Trill you do sound glam. Hope you're having a fab time.

I'm going to put the batteries in the Wii Fit board. After some knitting.

VinegarTinselTits · 05/12/2009 21:34

Arrrrghhh, arrggggh ah ah arghhhhh

ds2 is back again! went to xp's yesterday, got all clingy at bedtime, inconsolable, so had to be bough home last night, dropped him back off at xp's this avo, but come bed time he just wanted me again, so xp bought him back home

And to top it off, i have a bloody COLD, like i havent been ill enough already

bellavita · 05/12/2009 21:34

Hope DS is ok Lizzy, even with DS2 who is 10, stuff like that is eventful... he is so eager to help it makes him like a bull in a china shop.

I feel tired tonight. One of my crowns is bothering me and have suffered with toothache on and off today . We have our check-up on the 22nd Dec, so will try and last out until then. I am pretty sure it is the crown that the dentist said may need root canal treatment at some point. >

Whooo hoo awasting, wii-ing and knitting - you are multi-talented.

DreamsInBinary · 05/12/2009 21:36

Oh, VT

VinegarTinselTits · 05/12/2009 21:37

Have a lovely night Trill, i always wear false eyelashes on special occasions, very Bridget Bardo

Bugger this will set ds off on one when he gets back.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 21:56

Oh Christ, Vinny

You should start a thread to ask for strategic tips. Maybe you need to be a less lovely mummy? Start channelling Shiney- he'll soon be skipping off with nary a backward glance

I think I have been had on e-bay. I bought "well done" stamp for work for our reception. We have a runner from Yr8 every period who does all our errands like when parents bring in forgotten lunches/money/keys/pe kits etc and if they have been really busy, we like to put a stamp in their planners. So, this chap I got one off (on a buy it now) emails me and said he had made an error and used an old paypal account. He had refunded my money but could I resend it to another account which I did (he did refund the orginal amount). I still have not received the stamp and have gone into my ebay to see that he is now no longer a registered user . I have mailed him and said if he does not reply then I will open a dispute.

BitOfFun · 05/12/2009 22:16

Oh crappity crap, bella, sounds dodgy

OP posts:
LizzyLordsALeaping · 05/12/2009 22:21

Gawd, Vinny!

Bella, sounds dodgy, hope you sort it.
