...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

I won't be putting any decorations up until I've got the house all tidy first. So that will be around Christmas Eve then

I never have to worry about wearing heels, as at 5'1" it seldom bothers anyone

lizzy - oh dear - my DH may get cross as he is pretty much my height (5 ft 8/9 ish) maybe 5 ft 10 on a good day

BOF - you pocket dynamo! I always longed to be petite like you as I towered over my friends in school (I don't feel hugely tall now though - most of them seem to have caught up - or perhaps they just all wear heels!)

I would love to be petite, as I am tall and broad, size 8 feet etc. I just would like to feel all dainty for once.

My feet are usually a size three, but I guess even they have got fat, as I seem to be in fours now. My theory is that since I started wearing slobbier clothes and flats, my feet have relaxed and spread out...

a friend of mine who actually isn't very tall (about 5 ft 4) has size 9 feet! She got her sexiest heels from a transvestite website

I used to be taller (5' 10 ) but my spine compressed in an accident, and I sometimes wish I was 'dainty' but have mostly been at ease with my height. Although someone once said that I'd never have to worry about being 'attacked' because I look like a man which stung. I have broad shoulders and a 'big bone structure', and do get asked by small children if I am a man or a woman, although not quite so much now I have grown my hair.

But it is about how you 'spin' it. (small...petite and dainty, Tall....amazonian and statue esque) Of all my insecurities, the physical ones are the least of my worries.

One of my (90 yr old) customers said I look like a model to him, so that'll do for me...

The loss adjustor has given us a price to have the ceiling repaired so now we have to find some quotes. He was really nice actually.
