...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

Fanny at getting your DD exorcised.

Hope she sleeps for you.

DS2 is dosed up on calpol following his jabs, crosing my fingers here too.

How is your Mom, BOF? I really hope tomorrow is "good" for both of you, can't think of another way of saying what I mean, sorry. Hope that the funeral is a fitting tribute to your Aunt and that you and your Mom can grieve and celebrate her life.
BOF, You never moan, do you? You are so upbeat and positive. I should take a leaf out of your book.

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 22:15

Well said Lizzy. I too must try taking a leaf from BoF's book

Bof hope tomo is ok.
Tis not the adverts that put me off warrington (thankfully have avoided those) but they have a reputation across there and there are other things to be doing... cheshire oaks, west kirby, blue planet etc when over in that direction.

Hope tomo is fun for you shiney.

Was going to get an early night but got sucked into watching shaun the sheep on cbbc. it is fantastic if you need to smile.

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 22:39

Thanks for all your good wishes girls- I hope tomorrow will go well, and my mum has had a little cry with me, but she knows her sister had a full life- we'll do our best to give her a good send off.

Happy Birthday for Teddy tomorrow- I bet he'll run you ragged

Congrats to Alice! It was this time last year I found out I was pregnant, you've made me all nostalgic! (Now sitting here pumping breast milk and wondering if I can express all the calories from the pizza I ate tonight).

YanknCock · 03/12/2009 23:08

BOF, sorry just remembered about your auntie, hope you are okay.

Scoops is a great ice cream shop--but definitely not one to go near when eating healthy!

DontEatMountains · 03/12/2009 23:11

Thanks Yankncock was almost wondering if should take ds but as he is on a very strict milk free diet it would not be a wise plan. Feared in might be a grown up place as you never know on MN innocent looking titles can get you into to a whole load of trouble sometimes

YanknCock · 03/12/2009 23:14

DEM, I will look next time I go by, I think they might do sorbet or something milk-free. I was probably only vaguely aware of it as my eyes are always drawn to the mountains of chocolate fudge brownie!

DontEatMountains · 03/12/2009 23:17

he is very very milk free as anaphalatic to milk so cross contamination is an issue. ice cream parlours not an ideal place really. this will explain why my mind went in that direction plus hormones are returning due to depo leaving my system. My mind is not a place eves droppers would appreciate without warning.

YanknCock · 03/12/2009 23:25

Ah fair enough, I can't imagine they are that careful about cross-contamination so best avoided.

My hormones are the opposite way, haven't thought about sex at all since DS was born--it's like they removed my libido during the EMCS. I spose that's the breastfeeding to blame partially, right?

DontEatMountains · 03/12/2009 23:38

Or the lack of sleep, emcs and everything else that goes with lo. It has taken nearly 5 yrs from ds for mine to return but i did go straight onto depo evill witch making drug when he was 6 wks. Not enjoying the lack of opportnity to do something abput it I could really have some fun with the hormones at the mo. hey ho interesting dreams tonight me hopes...

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 04/12/2009 01:46

Oh Bollocks.

DD awake, shelves collapse, all my lovely bowls and vases broken.

Will I ever get a proper nights sleep?

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 04/12/2009 07:33

Morning all.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 04/12/2009 07:34

Happy Birthday Teddy. Hope you have a great party.

Lizzylou · 04/12/2009 07:58

Fanny, how did the shelf fall?

Happy Birthday Teddy

TrillianAstra · 04/12/2009 09:09

Morning. Happy Birthday Teddy. Just ordered the past times ring - xmas20 didn't work for me but EXTRA10 did.

TerryWogansCockandBaubles · 04/12/2009 09:17

Happy birthday Teddster

Bof hope today goes well and your auntie gets the lovely sendoff that she deserves

TerryWogansCockandBaubles · 04/12/2009 09:19

I am a bit peed off with the pjs i ordered from la senza, the packaging was crappola, box was all ripped and they were squeezed into it by an inch of their life

they also look cheap, and were not gift wrapped as promised grrrr

TerryWogansCockandBaubles · 04/12/2009 09:20

oh fanny, bugger about the shelves and your lovely vases

YanknCock · 04/12/2009 09:42

Morning all.

eek, that sucks about your shelves FGM!

BOF, thinking of you today.

Terry, I am so jealous of your Christmas name. Can't think of anything for mine!

DS did a massive barf on me this morning, never seen anything so spectacular from him before. I swear his entire feed came up, wondering if he is ill...will refrain from going all PFB and ringing the doctor unless it keeps happening.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 04/12/2009 10:00

Hello all.....

special thoughts for Bof,

I have an 'extra' day off...I can't take My DC's to the job i do on a friday because last year a snowball got thrown over their very expensive/extensive entertainment suite (just DON'T ask....), which I completely understand, so am pottering/tidying/paperworking so I can have tomorrow off and go christmas shopping for stocking fillers etc. On.My. Own.... Yayyy!!!!

DC's are going to their Brother's in Hertford tonight (whoop whoop). Love 'em to pieces but.........

Sorry about shelves Fanny, and DD's sleeping. I managed a half decent nights sleep last night.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 04/12/2009 10:37

Morning ladies!

Sympathies to BoF and family today, hope all goes as well as can be expected.

Also, I hope the anniversary went well

Sorry to hear about your shelves fivegomad, nightmare!

And happy birthday Teddy!

Loss adjustor coming today between 12 and 2pm so that will be fun - not. You know what these people are like, they talk to you with a degree of suspicion and I'm just not in the mood for any of their bollocks today.

Am off to get showered and tidied up

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 04/12/2009 10:44

Yes...Happy Birthday Teddy

SazzlesOnASled · 04/12/2009 10:51

No weight loss here this week. Bit GRRRR as i have been sooooo good with food and exercise, but hey ho, it'll go at some point

Happy Birthday Teddy . Hope you have a fab time. I'm sure Mummy has bought you loads of lovely things on promotion

Fanny - poor you and your shelving. Heartbreaking when you have a lovely collection . Did DD say what kept her awake? How old is she btw?

Terry - if mine are not wrapped/cheap looking they are going back . There are some lovely ones in Sainsbo's atm and they are 25% off all weekend

BoF - thinking of you this morning. Hope the sun is shining where you are

Squeezy, hope the loss adjustor isn't an arse. If he is, just give us a shout and we'll be there in a virtual jiffy

Mitts - i', intrigued about an 'entertainment suite'. Should i have one?
