...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

Chink!

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:11

OOH, we're all boozing, thank the lord.

BOF, have looked at the thread but all I could think to say was to drink your booze and have lots of sex, which I am sure was already on the cards, so I have put it here

DH has gone out with his mate, he picked him up on his way home, got changed, ate a sandwich (lovingly prepared by moi)and I just ran off the mouth. I had barely spoken to an adult all day, unless you count a few words with DS2's Childminder and the nurses who traumatised DS2 with his jabs. Ah well.

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:14

ran off at the mouth, ie. just chatted endlessly about nowt at all (excepting the kidnapping of Patrick which is v importnat and upsetting).
DH's mate is prob realising why he is out with him tonight and not at home..........

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:15

Tsk, i don't think the LordFord would be approving mid week indulgences

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 21:17

I talk like that all the time Lizzylou- ask Shiney

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:22

I'm just really BoF but have weigh in tomorrow so can't join in

Tomorrow night however i am going to the pub with the girls to get drunk and Sat we are going out for a big meal with DH's brothers and families. The Voice of Reason will be blathering away pissed in a corner no doubt

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:25

Sazz, it is slimline tonic???
Is that OK?
And tomorrow night whilst you are geting pissed I will be swimming and being virtuous

And dodging lane hoggers, grrrr

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:35

The Lord is pretty ok with G&ST tbh. I tested him out with him a fair few times

I shall be walking to and from preschool tomorrow morning (3 miles) and swimming in the afternoon (after purchasing goggles you non goggle wearing weirdo), and that is as virtuous as it will get on a Friday

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:38

Sazz, you beeatch, I am drinking gin, calling me a wierdo may make me cry........

OK OK, you can get really pissed tomorrow night!

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:40

I like weirdos though . Better?

TrillianAstra · 03/12/2009 21:41

Mmm, full of curry now (had some emergency frozen chicken - not enough to make a big batch but enough for me).

DP is going through a load of music he's been given.

G&T is approved by the Lord. If you measure a single it's 56 cals I believe.

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 21:42

I have held off so far...dd1 is insisting on hanging around like A BAD SMELL even though she know it's our anniversary, because it's the last episode of Scrubs on E4

S I can't start until ten

Bloody kids

OP posts:
SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:46

LOL at emergency chicken Trill. My neighbour phoned and asked if he could have one of our emergency box of chocs as his wife has raging PMT and he is scared trying to help

BoF - hope you get some time to enjoy your anniversary, but watch out for the 2am call to a party. It is after all a school night

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:49

OK Sazz
DH thinks I am loopy re: googles as well. I spent years with hard gas permeable contact lenses which I had to take out before swimming (t'was great, when I looked in the mirror, I was so thin as am so blind). Now I have soft lenses it is great to be able to actually find the pool. I prob need to wear goggles more, tbh.

BOF, put a documentary on or somesuch, that'll get her racing for her bedroom.

Hapy Anniversary by the way

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 21:50

I have got to be good, got to be good...it's the funeral tomorrow at half nine, other side of the city, rush hour- need to be up early and not hungover. Least I can do.

OP posts:
DontEatMountains · 03/12/2009 21:50

at the neightbour's call for survival

Bof what is scoops? (sorry to cross threads but too chicken to admit i avoid warrington mostly and thus ignorant of its nature.)

Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 21:54

OMG Sazz, just realised that you have Emergency boxes of chocs, they'd last no time in this house
Could be why you are a size 12 and I am a size......bigger or two/three....

BOF, oh, hope tomorrow goes OK, sorry hadn't realised.

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:57

Sorry BoF, i hadn't remembered about the funeral tomorrow . Hope all goes off ok for you and your mum and that Auntie has a lovely send off

Lizzy - i wear lenses too and the pool has a lot of chlorine hence i need the goggles. Preferably ones which don't leak . I can honestly say they have never fogged up on me (use Speedo ones)

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 21:59

LOL Lizzy, i don't actually like chocolate (your turn to call me a weirdo ) so i have them in case we get invited somewhere for a drink/meal and i need a little pressie. They were actually boxes of toblerone pieces - 2 for £6 in Sainsbo's this morning (so have not really lasted very long )

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 21:59

No idea what Scoops is. I am avoiding Warrington too on the basis of those adverts alone

I think tomorrow will be nice actually. I mustn't cry though- I intended to buy waterproof mascara but forgot

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 03/12/2009 22:03

Sazz, they weren't dark choc ones were they?

Tell me they weren't?? Then you really are a wierdo. I luuuurve dark choc toblerone.

The googles I used were speedo, they were DH's, I have a very wide nose though, so glasses and stuff never fit me right (yep, am a wierdo).

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 03/12/2009 22:04

Bof - I hope all goes well tomorrow.

Look at you all having mid week indulgences, mine was last night and we have a heavy weekend coming up.

And please God may Edie sleep through the night tonight. DH has put some soundproofing over the window so that, souble glazing, black out curtain, curtains and a quilt over the top should stop the noise of the odd car going past her window, either that or she is having visitors and will have to get the priest in. I have tried all day to find where the 666 is tattooed but can't find it.

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 22:06

Nope, just been to check and they were milk chocolate. Not such a weirdo

Sorry, forgot to say Hi DEM

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 03/12/2009 22:08

Oh and the time for 10k is very impressive.

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 22:09

Oh bless poor DD Fanny . Mind you DD1 comes to see us a couple of times per night and there are no cars going past her window . Hope you all get some rest

So, does anyone else weigh in on a Friday still?
