...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

But in the grand scheme of things, my clients are more important so it doesnt really matter

Cashback is if you go to topcashback, sign in, and click from them to the website. Money off is separate, is a code to put in at checkout at price minister.

Cash back: Our Payment Thresholds For Payouts
Payments can be requested whenever you like, subject to the following rules:

  • Electronic BACS Transfer: Minimum of £0.01 and 14 days between payouts
  • Paypal eCheque: Minimum of £0.01 and 14 days between payouts
  • Paper Cheque: Minimum of £50 and 60 days between payouts

Go to 'overview' and 'earnings' to see what money you have (it takes a while for it to turn from being recorded to being payable) and then to 'payments' to ask them to send it to you.

Toddlers do not sound fun. I've just had a sleep, now thinking that lunch might be a good idea but still kind of feling sick.

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 14:04

Are you guys having fun?

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:04

Toddlers are great fun Trills. Babies are boring.

Why does every good idea i have go tits up?
And
Why is clothes shopping such a waste of fucking time and energy?

Answers on a postcard please

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/11/2009 15:07

Are you OK Sparkly? What's gone wrong?

TrillianAstra · 30/11/2009 15:08

I know babies are boring, but toddlers just sound sooooooo tirnig.

Clothes shopping is shit. Do it online. Somewhere that does free returns. Most places do free delivery if you order over a certain amount, so order the things you think you want in two sizes. It means you can try on jeans with a variety of shoes to see if they're the right length, etc. And check out the cashback sites as well in case you can get money off.

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:10

toddlers are funny, mine makes me laugh with his funny little ways, he follows me around the house and holds my hand everywhere (even just to go down the stairs)

TrillianAstra · 30/11/2009 15:13

That sounds like it would be sweet, for the first 10 minutes or so.

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:14

yes it not good when i need a shit

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/11/2009 15:14

Awww...DD still does that a lot of the time VT (she is 7) and she wants to be just like me.()

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:17

aww thats nice mitts, i love holding his little hand tbh, he's not a bolter like some toddlers i know, he wont leave my side if we are out in public

And there will be a day when he will be too old and get embarassed to have me around so i shall savour it while i can

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:20

It is like having a shadow (a non silent one)

So, i am planning on making lots of christmas presents this year, and every idea i have had has literally fallen to pieces. Can't get ingredients/supplies, and now i have no car it makes it even harder (yes i know, woe is me)

And then, DH's christmas party, nothing to wear thread here

hellsbelles · 30/11/2009 15:33

who got that lovely dress from Gap? Would that one work Alice? - I can't remember who posted the link. I seem to recall thinking it was very nice

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:37

Might have been me hells, but i think i must have and aquired taste because everyone else who has tried the same dress on doenst like it

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:39

I never got to see the dress as the link wouldn't work for me

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:42

it was this dress

i dont think you would like the neckline Alice

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:44

I like the look of it, but it would look shite on me Did you get it?

VinegarTits · 30/11/2009 15:45

yes i bought it, but i am going to wear it with a little cardie and a thin belt because i hate my fat arms

hellsbelles · 30/11/2009 15:47

I liked it Vinny!

Sorry forgot about the norkage which probably wouldn't work in that dress- I too have that issue! I shall have a think - though I"m rubbish at that sort of thing! Have to go out now but will window shop for inspiration while out.

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:47

I hate my arms too, in fact, after trying clothes on there isn't much i can say i do like, well, feet are ok i suppose...
