Yay Norma

Lenin, you are making me feel very guilty about not running. NOt enough to get off my fat ass it would seem

Shiney, rest up! Sorry you are still ill.

Bella, I think I want some of your lasagne, if it costs that much should be fab

FB, good for your DH. You sound v sensible about the money stuff, so should be able to ride out any leaner months. I'd probably blow the lot on a good month and starve when not so good.

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 07/10/2009 18:16

Hi ladies

Lenin - just where do you get the energy?

Slimey - more rest is needed!! Much more!!

Flamingo - fingers crossed for you.

Bela, hope the gold plated lasagne is scrummy!

And.....good luck to 5gomad for the weigh in.

I've been out cycling today with DH, he was running while I cycled. Really enjoyed it but it did highlight how unfit I am, legs were like jelly afterwards....and there's the wheezing probably due to (still) smoking.

hellsbelles · 07/10/2009 18:37

FB - good luck for you DH.

Slimey - You should be back in bed till properly better - do not be tempted to move a muscle...and once you start feeling better WAIT another 12 hours to make doubly sure you really are mended. Otherwise this will just go on and on and on. I feel so bad for you - I had a lurgey that just wouldn't budge and I actually thought I was getting clinically depressed because I felt so awful. But then suddenly it was gone and I couldn't believe it - I felt like I had been ill for so long.

VineGruesomeTits · 07/10/2009 18:47

My nan has leukemia

TrillianSlasher · 07/10/2009 18:49

Oh no, poor Vinny. I always thought leukaemia was something kids got. Is there anything they can do?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 07/10/2009 18:54

So sorry Vinny.... I hope they can do something....

VineGruesomeTits · 07/10/2009 18:54

There are differnet types of luekemia trill, she has acute myelogenous leukemia, the chance of getting it increases with age, the treatment for it is intense chemotheraphy, she is 89 and is not strong enough to take it, it would kill her. they can give her some mild doses of chemo to prolong her life but other than that there isnt much they can do

bellavita · 07/10/2009 19:02

for you VT.

Why is it always the good people in the world that get these things...

TrillianSlasher · 07/10/2009 19:02

Oh poor thing. How is she feeling? Is she close by? Chemo is horrible too.

BiteOfFun · 07/10/2009 19:06

Oh dear Vinny, I'm so sorry

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 07/10/2009 19:24

Shiney sorry for you too, it can get a bit demoralising. Is there any way at all you can get some R and R? It is the bodies best way of fighting back.

Lizzylou · 07/10/2009 19:26

Oh Vinny, am so sorry

Hope that you are OK.

FlamingoBingo · 07/10/2009 19:29

I had a chilli with rice (small portion), and Peach and sultana crumble with caramel ice-cream for pudding. I only do puddings really for when my M and P come over.

I have to work but am so tired it is ridiculous. I have a can of red-bull.....

TrillianSlasher · 07/10/2009 19:51

Noooo, stay away from the red bull, it's evil in a can!

VineGruesomeTits · 07/10/2009 19:55

I'm ok, I dont think its hit me yet, and because ds1 is very upset and can't stop crying, i am having to be strong

We are very close to her, my dad is her only child and i am her only grand daughter, she has been such a big influence in my life, the docs estimate she has 6 months

BewareTheFullMoon · 07/10/2009 19:57

I had pork roast with boiled veg. Very lovely of mum to cook but she knows i wizz the left overs up into risotto tomo. She has also tackled my ironing pile. Bless her.

Vinny sorry about you nan. sucks that there is issues about treatment.

Dib -why is it little people bounch and we are left feeling crap after a&e trips like that. Had a moment when doc said sorry havent head injury leftlet do you know what signs to look out for are. My answer Oh that's alright i have lots at home Ds has lots of minor bumps to his head. it was only this summer's that scared me. Are you over the shock now?

Piggly - you were before my time. i joined end of june/july ish time so probably didnt bump into you before.

Shiney - chillout hun -its going to take a while before you are fully better. too much too soon is going to make it take longer. The house will not explode if it is not clean and tidy. Neither will you. Daughters can be bribed to help to.

Congrats on the job interview 1 success FB. Hope the painting isnt driving you too mad

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 07/10/2009 19:58

I know Trill but I have so much to get done by the weekend and my body is crying to sit down, or lie down and I now have two appointments on Friday that really mess my week up.
If I don't clear it by the weekend then next week will be a disaster.

I can't eat anymore because my weight will just keep going up and I don't know how else to get the energy to keep going tonight. I am really NOT complaining, it is just how my body is.

BewareTheFullMoon · 07/10/2009 20:01

Did half hour walk earlier. would have taken ds out but he took lso long to eat his tea it had gone dark and little people cycling in the dark it terrible harsh on the nerves. Have to get subject audit and review form sorted for tomo. Eek, I want an early night. poo. Need to not be here tonight but dont want to be anywhere else. Assignments are not appealing.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 07/10/2009 20:04

Oh vinny.....crap x posting.

I really really feel for you. Good to be strong for your DC's but don't forget to be kind to yourself.

bellavita · 07/10/2009 20:05

Lasagne was very good - not quite worth £34 though

I am really tired tonight, but am determined to take my nail varnish off and repaint. Have just put some scones in the oven the ds's breakfast tomorrow.
